DP alt mode to HDMI without wires? yes please
great portable option or getting HDMI out of a macbook air or other DP alt mode device. range is excellent and lag is very minimal. audio is transmitted as well, so watching video is super easy. great for projecting to a big TV or projector without needing the wires. Love it for the conference room.

Could’ve been better
They are easy to connect to and easy to install (use) on any device but they didn’t work for long. Maybe a 2-4 days. Maybe just a bad batch but they have great potential. Very sleek size which makes it more appealing. I’d give it 3 stars since they did work for a little while.

couldn’t get them to talk to eachother
I spent hours trying to make these things to work. Downloaded their trouble shooting guide. Rebooted computers, turn monitors on and off. Did numerous resets. Nothing worked.Another issue, this was to reduce cables to free up the user from being anchored by wires. So you give up 1 HDMI cable and you gain 2 power cord cables. So more hassle and more wires.My experience was nothing but aggravating,

Needs separate power source for both pieces
I was so excited to use this when traveling at hotels without streaming TVs, but found that most hotels now have streaming and/or don’t have an easy way to reach the HDMI ports.So when I had a conference booth, I thought it would be perfect to use there… unfortunately, once we unpacked it at the show, we found that we needed to plug both the transmitter and the receiver into its own plug- separately. As we only had a few outlets, this was completely impractical. So ultimately, I never even used this at all.
