Not flat, but works for me.
I wanted a tool to put in my stock pot for canning peppers and jam. This guy fits exactly and solved my needs. Yes, it’s not a flat grate, so the jars tilted a bit, but I went ahead and used it, and they all sealed perfectly, so it’s a win for me despite not being able to use as a cooling rack. It’s made with heavy duty material for sure, way more beefy than my purpose built cooling racks.

Very sturdy
I am using this wire baking rack as a rack for water bath canning in my large pot, rather then a water bath canner. This way I can do small batches of half pints. It is very well made and very sturdy. Works perfect for what I am using it for.

Fits inside Ball Electric Waterbath Canner
This review only covers how I used the rack in my canner. If you don’t use a water bath canner, then skip this review.The 12″ diameter 1″ high rack fits into my Ball Electric Water Bath Canner! The flat 12″ one should fit even better, but I didn’t get that one. I turned the rack upside down so it would fit under the inside part of the spigot, because the feet were in the way when I tried it right side up.The electric canner came with a pathetic little rack that doesn’t work with small jars, so I bought this 12″ diameter, 1″ high rack. The rack holds as many as 13 regular mouth jelly jars without any falling over.This rack is very sturdy. It has not rusted despite being submerged in boiling water for long periods of time. I would recommend this rack for anyone who uses water bath canners.If you are looking for a better rack for canning, measure the inside bottom of your pot, then purchase a size that will be slightly smaller. If you can purchase one that is flat, it should work just fine.

The removable frying rack that came with the AROMA Glass Air Fryer is “possibly” Teflon. To play it safe, just purchase this 6.5 stainless steel rack. This rack gets the job done 🙂

Well-constructed rack
I picked up the 9.5-inch one to use in my 8-quart Instant Pot. Unfortunately, it does NOT fit. I decided to keep it as a baking rack and as a rack to use in my 13-quart pressure cooker. It’s constructed out of thick welded wires that are woven and tight. It is not flat, as it has a bulge in the center, but that’s fine for my uses. I may buy a smaller version to fit inside my 8-quart Instant Pot.

Misleading: Not Flat, Not A Cooling Rack, Not A Canning Rack
It’s certainly sturdy, but it’s not flat and pops between being concave and convex. Should have read the reviews before buying it. Its misleading when they describe the purpose as a cooling/canning rack, though the pictures do kind of show that it’s intentionally not flat.It’s a grill, for cooking on or putting into cookware. The description is misleading so they can claim it has more uses than it really does. If you need a canning rack or cooling rack, get something else.

This rack is very sturdy. It was purchased to be used in my canner, however it has a upward curve in the grating, which causes the jars not sit level. If not for the upward curve, it would have gotten 5 stars.
