This Washer Dryer Top Protector 51.2″ x 25.6″, Silicone Washer and Dryer Countertop Protector Mat, Non-slip Waterproof Washing Machine Mat for Laundry Kitchen is just what I needed for protecting the tops of my side by side front load washer and dryer. It fits perfectly from front to back and is about an inch shy on either side of both machines which is perfectly fine. It is very soft and flexible and has a nice grippy texture that keeps it from sliding around even when the machines are working and vibrating about. It has a nice lip all the way around to protect from any spills and the soft supple surface really keeps things on top in place without moving around and scratching the machines. It really is a good value and even gives the laundry room a nice finished look.

Good Quality – great for other purposes besides washer/dryer!
I actually ordered this because I needed a VERY large silicone mat for my crafting workspace. And this is perfect for just that! It is much larger than the other mats that I purchased in the past, and it almost completely covers the top of my dining room table.At first I wasn’t sure if the edge where it turns up would be too high and be bothersome for a craft mat when sitting at the table, but it is actually just fine. In fact, I won’t need to worry too much if there is a liquid spill, as the mat edge will catch it (and perhaps that could even become a handy feature to use on purpose).I got this for crafting, but I can see that this would also be great for a gardening potting table.

I didn’t realize I needed this!
For years I’ve had the problem where things keep slipping off the washer and dryer, either going to the side (which isn’t too bad) or to the back (which is a major annoyance). I never had any idea a product existed to solve this.I have LG washer and dryers (slightly newer models than in the listing photo), and they are a little wider than the pictured models so I have a bit over an inch on each side that isn’t covered, but it’s close enough. 2″ wider would be perfect. The mat lies perfectly flat on top and grips the washer and dryer well so it doesn’t slide around, and also items on it don’t slide around either. There’s a half-inch lip around the edge that further reduces the chance of things sliding off.

HANDY FOR ALL SORTS OF APPLICATIONS
Yes, these mats are great for the top of a washer and dryer to protect the appliance’s finish, and your expensive investment. But they also have a myriad of other uses, being thick, heat, and often, chemically resistant. These always come folded up in a bag, and can take a little time and patience to get them back to flat. But they’re great to have around, and you’ll actually start thinking of other things you can do with them. The black is a little less forgiving and harder to keep visibly streak-free clean than the gray, FYI. They all vary in price and thickness between different Sellers, so compare before you buy. Highly recommended!

When your washer and dryer become your DIY project work table.
What do you do when it is mid-winter and it freezing in the garage and you have a DIY project? You work in the laundry room, near the washtub! LOL! I found myself using the top of my washer and dryer as a worktable, when working outside or in the garage was not an option. I am really enjoying this protector because it allows for you to convert the top of your washer / dryer as an easy to clean and convert workstation. Nice thickness, easy to clean and stow. I am going to get another one to use strictly for clothes etc. Very satisfied!

Helps with vibrations
I was really concerned about this rubber mat having a strong odor but I can’t smell anything unpleasant about it at all.It flattened out nicely on top of my washer and dryer and stays in place. Nice to keep items in place/they don’t vibrate across.The outer lip helps protect any possible spills.

I love these – multiple uses
I love these things. I have many of these, I use one of them on top of my dishwasher. The rest I use for many things like oil drip trays, crumb trays and RV walkway dirt trays.They fold up super small and hold up to just about anything.This particular one has my favorite pattern, perfect wall height and overall thickness. Two thumbs up.
