    So simple but so useful!
I bought this to help with my knee replacement. I’m so glad I chose the basic one cause it really did the job! My mobility got so much better. It’s perfect!

    Good inexpensive pedal machine
My 85-year old mother had a total knee replacement done in 2015. In the last year or so, her mobility has decreased, so after discussion with her primary provider and physical therapist, we agreed to get her this floor pedal machine. It is a very bare bones piece of equipment. As others have mentioned, the stability is poor. Perhaps if the brackets were wider, then it would be more stable. But for $25, it is fine. Mom uses it while she watches TV for about 10 minutes at a time and she put some rubber mats under the brackets to help keep it in place.Mom’s legs are quite short so she has to scoot to the edge of the sofa to reach the pedals. Also, since her knee has become stiffer it is harder to bend so she struggles a little to reach the pedals easily and then pedal. When she makes a full rotation, it seems to get caught on something so it is not completely smooth, either. I tried turning it with just my hands – doing so is smooth, so there is something in the way that she pedals it.She has not used the tension knob yet but it does appear to turn easily. One of the rubber pieces that keeps the pedal in place popped out. I was able to push/screw it back in easily, but again, this is a very austere unit. I would recommend it if you really want something inexpensive, but frankly would recommend another unit for a few bucks more.Oddly, my original order was canceled. When I checked my account, there was a vague message that it might be due to a lost shipment and so was canceled by the shipper. I was not charged for that first order, but it was unusual. In all the years of placing Amazon orders, that was a first for me. The seller addressed the problem when I inquired and I just made a second purchase, which was received without any problem.

    Works fine for the price
I give this three stars, but almost gave it four considering function for price. But a couple of design considerations dropped it a star. Still, I am pleased enough to recommend this. At this price one should not expect either a professional unit nor anywhere near best on the market. I bought this as a cheap cardio device, and for that job it works fine.CONSThe crank knob offers SOME resistance, but not much. Cranked to full (without using a pipe wrench) it creates just about perfect tension for the arms. For legs, it’s hardly noticeable. Cranking it to full will prove very difficult for older ones, those lacking muscular strength, or anyone with arthritis. In such case a pipe wrench may literally be a necessity. The “pedals” are barely that; narrow as shown in photo. I didn’t think about how the narrow width would feel on bare or stocking feet. One will need some kind of shoe to use this comfortably. And of course since they aren’t round they don’t offer a comfortable grip for the hands either. Still, they work.PROSThese things aside, this is a passable exercise machine, especially in these days when funds are often scarce. It has some downsides but it works. The stability is acceptably good. I use it on a low-nap rug and there is some wobble (as would be expected) but it stays in place. On a wood or linoleum floor it does fine– doesn’t slide an inch.I decided to use the device with stocking feet even though not comfy, because there’s the side-benefit of foot acupressure. People pay money for acupressure pads; these pedals do a similar job on bare or stocking feet. The gauge is not lit so I pretty much ignore it. I just use it until I’m tired then stop. Still, it’s a multi-function gauge. If someone wants the data, there it is.A main positive is its easy portability. It has two large pull rings, allowing the legs to fold up easily and quickly. To open it just pull the legs out until the pins auto-snap into place. Couldn’t be easier nor imo better-designed. Nice feature of this item. The build appears sturdy. Its feel and appearance promises lengthy use so long as the inner resistance mechanism holds up. That can only be determined over time. All in all, for a low-cost exercise peddler it is fine. I suspect it will do exactly what I bought it to do: give me some exercise while I’m watching TV.

    Cheap and shows it.
there are so many things wrong with this little toy that it is hard to know where to begin. to start with, the bands that are supposed to hold your feet on the pedals are so tiny that a person with larger than size four shoe cannot get into them. There is an adjustment, but it is only 1/4 inch, so you might increase it enough for a size 4 1/2 shoe. If you try to use the pedals without them, your feet keep sliding off, so this device is clearly designed for children or small footed women. The tension control is a bolt that you tighten against the axle to increase the friction between the bolt and axle. turning the axle against friction at any seed creates heat. At the speed that a pedal turns, it creates a great deal of heat, enough to create a burning hazard, possibly a fire hazard. Finally, one of the caps that fit over the legs and are supposed to keep the machine from sliding across the floor is too loose and keeps falling off. Clearly this is a cheap copy of some more effective device, rushed into production without testing whether it would actually work. My advice is to save your money until you can get a better machine. This one is not worth what it cost to make it.

Fine for the price but definitely not a very sturdy build
This pedal equipment is alright for older people where instead of an elliptical they could use something that moves their legs more. the whole framing itself however is not very sturdy and will creak and bend especially when you tighten the top knob more firmly which I typically do to add resistance.

Kind on the joints. You will need a mat to prevent it from moving forward when in use. I use it 3 to 4 times a week on average of 15 minutes.I bought this to address circulation problems in my legs. It is very effective. I threw my treadmill away after a few weeks of using this. It requires very little space, it is light weight and I recommend it to other plus size women like myself because the weight capacity is very generous. it works on the lower belly and my legs. I haven’t tried with my arms yet. Also easy to assemble.
