The real deal
I am sharing dual monitors through a docking station with 3 PCs. This worked flawlessly straight out of the box.Setup:Laptop 1 – TrendNet – Docking station – dual monitors (display link), keyboard, mouseLaptop 2 – TrendNet – Docking station – dual monitors (display link), keyboard, mouseLaptop 3 – Docking station – TrendNet – Docking station – dual monitors (display link), keyboard, mouse(Lappy 3 needs additional resources. It has only one USA 3.x port. I could probably use a USB hub, but this works.)Laptop 3 also used to have some issues through a Plugable sharing switch. I believe that it needs a powered sharing switch, which this is.I found some USB 3.0 sharing switches and ONE 3.1 sharing switch. This was the cheapest, and the highest throughput. The USB A to A cables are a little odd, but the only option besides USB C for USB 3.1, I believe. Regardless, it comes with 4 good looking A to A cables. People complain that it doesn’t come with a 120V to USB power plug, but it keeps the price down, so I think that’s a pro. If you need it, buy one (wait for a sale, lol)Highly recommended for functionality and price! It’s also nice and small

Does not work with M1 Mac mini
M1 Mac mini complains about power needed by usb accessory and won’t let me use the keyboard or mouse. Very frustrating. Works perfectly with windows and Linux machines.

Near perfect.
This USB is the best one I’ve found after going through at least 5 other brands. All the other ones were trash or fire hazards. One literally melted on me because it had not back current protection. The only thing that could make this switch better would be an on off button. Only because right now one of the devices I have it connected to is a Microsoft Surface dock which even when the PC is off still outputs USB power to anything that is connected to the switch. Since the dock can’t be configured not to do this the only way to stop it from powering on everything the switch is connected to is to unplug the dock from the switch. A power button would fix this but whatever.

Not enough power
This is one of the few kvm hubs that supported usb 3.1. I was using it to switch my usb mic and webcam between two devices. I wanted this to handle my keyboard as well. While it sometimes worked when I swapped between devices, more often than not I would get an error saying the device was not receiving enough which resulted in one of the devices I connected to the hub to not be powered. This happened even if I plugged in the power adapter to the hub directly.Apart from not being able to power all my connected devices, the transition is fairly slow compared to other KVMs I have used in the past. It takes roughly 2-4s to cycle between each PC connected. The hub isn’t intelligent in anyway to skip straight to the next PC connected. This means that if you have PC1 and PC2 connected and you are correctly on PC2, you will need to toggle through PC3 and PC4 before you can connect to PC1 again.

I either got a dud or usb 3.0 and 3.1 support don’t live up to the required power specs
So, the good is that if you have usb 2.0 components, they seem to work flawlessly in a windows environment on this hub. The bad is, any 3.0 or 3.1 items that require power within the 3.0 and 3.1 specs, they don’t seem to register at all on this hub.Plugging in an old no frills 2.0 usb mouse worked fine for me but as soon as I moved this to my multi pc setup and tried using my Razer keyboard and mouse (both usb 3.0) and a 3.1 usb thumb drive, none of them worked in the hub. I tried with using only power provided by the PCs connected as well as attaching the power connection to a 5 volt plug (also tried an empty 3.1 usb).I was unfortunately past my 30 day return for Amazon by the time I got this wired up in my system but I contacted support twice from their website and I’m still waiting for a response. If you get this hub, make sure to try an item that utilizes at least 5.0v before your return window closes.

Works well
Works as advertised. Satisfied enough to buy a second one for my son. My only complaint is I wish the port layout was cleaner (e.g. all of the ports on the side or back).I have an external hard drive, keyboard, mouse, and dual video monitors (using the StarTech.com USB to HDMI converter) plugged in and am currently using two computers (with plans to add a third). One setup, multiple computers, no noticeable problems with speed/performance.

Gets the job done
Works as advertised and it’s from an American company. The only weird things are 1) The peripheral ports aren’t all on the same side as each other, and 2) If you only have two computers in use, you have to cycle through all four computer ports using the one button that’s present. Kind of annoying after a while, especially with the switching speed being on the slow side. It gets the job done though.

Unacceptable amount of keyboard lag when typing
I should not be able to get a full sentence ahead and still not see what I am typing, assuming it even registers what I typed!

After two months, some of usb port stops working

Works great. Redirects between computers and devices without the hassle of unplugging and plugging USB cables. For example, I can use a single BT mouse on three separate computers. Pretty cool!

Has worked fine for around 6 months now. Never had issues with disconnecting.Only annoyance is you have to wait 2 seconds between each computer switch. If you click the button to switch a different computer, then click it again right away to switch, it will simply not switch. You have to wait 2 seconds until it is “ready” to switch again.Annoying, but works.

Fonctionne, mais parfois les ports ne fonctionne pas si le pc est en mode débogage
