    Sophisticated
Toasting, baking, warming, broil. Easy to operate and one dial controls all functions. Fully digital operation. Fast, even heating with plenty of room. Clean looks, simple to clean.

THIS IS A POORLY MADE PRODUCT & NON-EXISTENT CUSTOMER SERVICE
Like others if you comb the reviews there are multiple issues with this oven: 1. door not able to close seems to be an habitual issue;2. Temperature is an issue. Toast won’t toast. and Bake at 350 burns. 3.Digital Interface is horrible. Overly complicated;4. Toshiba customer service is totally lost. My Rep, did not know what Amazon was! (TRUE) Nice enough but clueless about this century. My last complaint, my fault, is that I threw away my box. So, it cost me 37.00 to send it back. Good riddens, however.

Good Size, Fast heating, toasting and air frying and reheating most useful
Interesting dial controller on this unit, that just takes a bit of getting used to. If the recipe calls for a particular temperature just twist the dial until you find a setting that works, irrespective of the particular setting’s label. It seems like “ROAST” setting allows the most flexibility with the top and bottom burners going and goes up to ~ 450 degrees which should just about cover most situations. The unit heats quickly and the Air fryer pre-heat setting actually heats most stuff quickly and efficiently with the fan turning provides convection. Perhaps it wasn’t included in earlier models, but there was a basket included with this unit as well as standard all purpose grill which can be adjusted up and down in the oven. Primary reason for choosing this unit was the features and price which were more competitive than other similar products. Only down side thus far is the door came unhooked from the closer and had to partially disassemble to get it back connected again. Other than the door needing to be handled gently the unit does what its supposed to do, toasts, air fries, heats stuff and accommodates most medium size meals easily. The crumb tray slides out easily and there is a bit of fan noise when the unit gets humming but as stated for the price point the Toshiba delivers.

    Don’t toss the manual
It’s not a “common sense to use” item like my microwave so I have to use the manual every single time. I hate cooking. With this, I still hate cooking. It is nicely built and attractive on the countertop. Nothing wrong with it. I’d recommend to anyone interested in cooking. I like that it saves so much counter space.

Glass front does not stay closed
[ This is my original review. See UPDATE below where I received a full refund from Toshiba/Midea ]Within the 30-day Prime free return window, the spring on the glass front seemed quite weak. When the oven was cold the door front barely stays closed, and when the oven was particularly hot (e.g. during Air Fry) it would have to be physically nudged shut. But within days after the return window ended, the door will not stay shut during Air Fry any more. Video demonstration is attached. The user interface is particularly bad, but that wasn’t enough of a problem to return the oven during the return window. Especially annoying is the inability to increase the timer past a small limit on some oven functions, and the fiddly way the user is required to change Air Fry programs. Nothing on the screen clearly indicates how to select Air Fry programs A01 thru A08 or what those programs do once selected. Yes, the information is in the manual, but if you’re not air-frying frequently you’ll forget wassup. When we baked some cookies in the oven with the temperature set to 325F, the heating rods never shut off, resulting in semi-burnt cookie-bottoms. A first world problem for sure, but not what we expected from our new oven.On a positive note, this toaster oven does heat food and the interior capacity is generous, but that’s not enough to compensate for its other flaws.RECOMMENDATION: DO NOT BUY.*** UPDATE late August 2021 **** Although the Prime return window had closed, I contacted Toshiba customer support (actually provided by an organization named “Midea”) and did receive a full refund. Upgrading from one to two stars.Initially I was instructed by a customer service rep to upload my video of the front door defect and wait for a response. After a few days I received an email telling me that I would receive a refund but that I had to call customer service first. Expected the worst (long hold times, disconnects, bouncing from one rep to another) but it was fairly quick to simply confirm my name and address where a check would be mailed. The check arrived after a couple of weeks and didn’t bounce when I deposited it into my account. There was no requirement to return the unit and no fees deducting from the full refund of every penny I had spent on the oven. In the end it was a good experience receiving support from a reputable distributor. Thanks Midea!

    It’s nice, not perfect.
Where to begin. Clean design, works precisely. But has limts. But now after 4 months ownership, i must redo my review. So many people were so right about this unit. Temp: I’ve used it twice now at 425. Both times it didn’t cook the items thru out. So I extended the time and it shut down. I actually think it’s the digital model’s. I think the electronic boards over heat and the fuse shuts it down. I may understand this after a few years, but not a few months. Just not right. I’ve had dial ovens that last 10 years. Never shut down. For 145 bucks, I expect at least 3 years of full use before needing repair. I read one review of a more expensive oven that lost a heating element after a year or so. And no replacement parts . Not cool Toshiba. Obviously these are use and toss items.

We bought this just over a year ago. We were first sent the wrong model and had to fight with Amazon to get it replaced with the correct model at the price we paid for it. Lasted just over a year. Had to argue with Toshiba to get a refund. We were never very happy with it. The size was decent. The controls were always a bit of a struggle. It was also very noisy – fan issues. Of course it may just be the one we received was just defective.
