    WOW. Just WOW!!
Disclaimer: I received NOTHING in exchange for this review. I am writing this in the hopes that anyone who is searching as I searched for a portable cooling solution might find this information useful.Wow! Just wow. Excellent communication and service. What an experience!I am a scientist, so I am familiar with the laws of thermodynamics, and that helps, but let me say that I am BLOWN AWAY (pun intended) by the performance of this little guy!! It FAR EXCEEDS my expectations thus far. It’s a simple matter of reading and following instructions in this case, and I suspect folks with problems with these units failed to do their due diligence and research the product and/or follow instructions. Of course we want to maintain a differential between humidity within and without our system (let the humid air escape your room/tent/car/etc), and of course we want to maintain a temperature differential between the incoming and outgoing air—again, simple thermodynamics. If you expect to violate these laws and achieve insane levels of cooling in unfavorable conditions, science will punish you. That being said, I am thoroughly impressed with the efficiency, build quality, size, weight, and cooling power of this unit!! There is no overly dry AC air, no dangerous coolants being employed (or need to refill ever), and there are not many parts to break down or wear out. My only gripe (and I am being pretty nitpick-y here) is the noise level of the fan or pump inside (which is at least a constant and consistent white noise), but I will happily trade the noise for the gloriously cold air rushing forth in a stream of frigid justice! I am guessing silent fans and pumps would not achieve the proper static pressure and CFM required to operate this.I am testing it with my portable solar unit. Right now it is drawing 11 watts at lowest setting, and that jumps as high as 48 watts when turned to full blast. At 11 watts, I could charge my battery using my solar panel during the day, and easily run this all night and possibly all day as well. Very efficient. Honestly, for the purpose MightyKool is built for—spot cooling—the lowest setting is perfectly fine. I would just point it at us whilst sleeping (or just–wait for it—chilling out) during a 90-degree summer evening. The air coming from it is COLD, not just cool. All this is with a test using slightly warm water with the intake air just straight out of my home. Not even the hot outside air. If I took the time to establish as high a temperature differential as possible, I expect the performance would rise accordingly, and I plan to test this and share the results. Another great feature is the built in air filter. I also received two free replacements, and an awesome accessory kit to facilitate air intake and exhaust setup.I have been searching for a way to keep cool while camping, as I really struggle with sleeping when it’s really, really hot out (I am a child of the fog). I researched and read, and looked at well over 20 different possible units, setups, and configurations. This MightyKool won out because of these things:1.) Efficiency – all it needs is water. Not ice. Not cold water. Just water. And it works WELL. The small amount I used for testing lasted a LONG time. Other units require ice or cold water and are incredibly inefficient.2.) Size and weight – It is very small and very light. Maybe 12″x10″x9″ in size, and not more than a few pounds empty.3.) Build quality – The unit is very well built, and seems like ti will last a long time.4.) Price – This unit was slightly more than other units out there, but FAR less expensive than portable AC units designed for camping. Also, those AC units have terrible reviews for the price, and require proprietary batteries that seem to not last long and aren’t even included in the already outrageous price.5.) Power – This unit can run on both 110V (adapter included), or 12V. This is important when you’re off the grid. My portable battery pack can power this directly for a very long time. I can also power it directly from my solar panels if I want. Very flexible when it comes to this. Also, the power draw is fairly low, which is nice.6.) It’s COOL.Hope you found this review helpful. If you did, please let me know. Thanks!I really want to thank the creators of this apparatus for such an amazing product, excellent service, and the extra filters and free connectivity kit. Like I said before: JUST WOW!!

    Just get it.
I don’t review as often as I should, but for this I had to make an exception. I live in a converted cargo trailer and needed something that was small, low wattage usage, and effective. I work nights and during the day it can exceed 90° and that’s way too hot to have a comfortable sleep in between shifts. This swamp cooler has brought me so much relief and I can sleep better now than I have in months. It’s amazing. It’s far more effective than I dared hope it would be. Even on the lowest setting, it’s COLD. Like, numb your face cold. You can’t ignore the instructions that come with it. It really does need to be well ventilated. Otherwise you just wind up making the place more humid, not colder. When you open the box, you can see that the reason they advise not filling it more than halfway when traveling is so that the water doesn’t hit the electronics where the fan is.The water meter is a really nice touch. I love being able to see its progress as it’s used. It does use a lot of water, but that’s just the nature of a swamp cooler and I really can’t complain about something like that. All things considered, for me, it’s basically a miracle AC I can run on solar and I intend to use this for a long time to come. And for less than $300, you really can’t go wrong with this one. Not compared to the competition.I recommended it to a friend moving to Idaho. Poor guy thought he could just casually get a small AC with a mini battery and 100-200 watts of solar. But this. This is feasible. Ideal, even.

    DOES NOT WORK AS ADVERTISED.
Item is advertised as working via the 12volt in a car. I purchased it for my dog. It does not work in my 2015 Kia Soul. Both my 12 volt outlets work and my car has the same size battery as a large Chevy Truck. It will only work if ACC is on, and that defeats the purpose, if you have to leave keys in the vehicle. Customer service not great, their only reply was that they have sold to thousand of customers without this issue. It is very expensive for what it is. I decided rather than return to keep it as an emergency unit for my dog at home, using the AC adaptor that it came with, should my hvac ever go out in summer here in AZ. It is loud, but it does blow cool. All things considered, particularly, the poor customer service, I cannot recommend this.

Very well constructed and it works
I will be using this in my van and my upstairs bedroom. I don’t like the really cold feeling of an air conditioner. I prefer something that does not blow real cold air on me. I prefer something that blows around ten degrees cooler than the air around me. Currently, I have an AC to DC converter connected to the MightyKool so right now, it’s working with a regular wall plug in my upstairs bedroom. My room temperature is 77 degrees and this is blowing out a comfortable 67.2 degrees. I am using water, no ice. I recommend this product and believe it will last for many years. It is very durable, compact, and powerful. I have the blower set real low right now and it is perfect. I am feeling really good. This is adding much comfort to me as I just got out of my bathtub and I needed cooling down. Thank you MightyKool for making a terrific product. Thank you bringing me comfort without having to spend over $1,000 elsewhere. I live in a high humidity area so in lower humidity the temperature coming out would be cooler but this is plenty good enough for me as I get cold easily.
