Perfect for any Mario Fan Pianist but not for the Faint of Heart
I just purchased this for myself a few days ago. Now, I haven’t gotten the chance to really delve into and practice a few of the songs yet I must say that at a glance it does look very good. I wish there was more songs in this book, but it does have a great variety. Not only does it have classics like the Underwater Background Music from Super Mario Bros. but it also has more recent songs such as the ones found in Super Mario Bros. Wii. Since this is an intermediate/advanced piano solo book many of the songs appear challenging to play. That being said, this book may not be for everyone. Like if you’re buying this book for a pianist that has not been playing for very long then it may be a better idea to pick up an easier book. What’s kind of neat about this book is the mini-score to Super Mario Galaxy: Ending Staff Credit Roll. With this mini-score they kind of compressed four pages of the song to fit one page. Even though that makes it harder to see the notes it’s not that much harder and it makes for less page turning. All in all, very excellent book. No spiral binding but there aren’t enough pages (in my opinion) for that to matter. Also one thing I want to add is that one of the songs from Super Mario Sunshine is called Dolpic Town in the book? I don’t know if my memory is just faulty but I don’t remember any Dolpic Town. I feel like this might’ve been some sort of odd typo, but I’m still going to reward it 5/5 stars because I’m not sure. Feel free to post a response to this review if you know anything about it. Thanks and I hope that this review was helpful!!

Pure Joy
These arrangements are a marvel. They bring the music to life. I want more Mario for the piano. Can’t get enough. Highly recommend.

Fun but some pieces too difficult
This is neat but a little too challenging at times. Some harder than other as other people have stated. I suppose it all boils down to skill level. I was considered early intermediate when I left college 10 years ago and still can’t play the god**** Mario theme as arranged here! However, I can do the castle theme from super Mario world which is one of my favorite songs to play. Whatever skill level that song is considered is about as far as I go as that took long enough. It’s still fun to bounce around and play segments though and if you know some theory you can improvise and play it your own way based on arrangements.

Great for an out-of-practice pianist who loves Mario
I bought this for my husband, as he used to play the keyboard and guitar but hasn’t much lately and was mentioned that he wishes he still played more. Since he’s also a huge Nintendo fan, this seemed perfect. He used to be pretty good, but he finds the arrangement here quite tricky. That’s good for him, as he wanted something more advanced than what he could pick out by ear, but be aware that if you’re buying this for an advanced beginner or intermediate skilled musician who isn’t completely familiar with the songs, they may have a difficult time with it. It is a bit unfortunate that the binding doesn’t open up flat, but the songs seem fairly short so there’s not a lot of page turning needed. I imagine if you really wanted you could pull the pages free of the binding fairly easily and put the sheet music in a Mario pocket folder and store it that way.

Fun and challenging book
I bought this book for my cousin whom I am trying to encourage to get back into his piano-playing habits. As a teenager, he was pretty excited about this book and found the songs to be challenging but still fun.Not being a piano player, I cannot comment on the arrangements but can only give my cousin’s reactions. However, from looking through the book, the pages were very clear and well-printed black-and-white on high-quality glossy pages. They also printed different Mario characters near the title of every song. Our only complaint it’s a little difficult to keep the book open on it’s own but nothing worth docking stars for.

I love this book!
This was the best money I’ve spent in a very long time on music. My son hates practicing piano. He loves anything Super Mario though. This book is awesome! I can’t wait to learn all of the songs with my son. Maybe now he will like practicing the piano. Thank you thank you!

Super recomendado inclusive para practicar algo de charleston y algunas bases rítmicas de jazz quizá solo sea música de un juego o el juego es la música de un quizá
