Worked great.
I used this on big pan of creamed corn that I make every holiday. It has to be stirred constantly to keep the corn from burning on the bottom which is a huge pain. With this device, I could literally almost “set it and forget it” and watch the corn cook itself allowing me to focus on the rest of dinner. Usually the bottom of the pan is crusted with semi burned corn even when stirring by hand every minute but with this device keeping a constant motion in the pan there was hardly any corn stuck to the pan and the flavor was much improved without any stuck corn getting burned. The speed is adjustable and the unite feels like a very well made appliance. This is no cheap knock off. It also lasted well over an hour on a single charge allowing me to slow cook the corn over a low heat. Highly recommend this and we’ll worth the money.

A Stirrer That Actually Works!
I’ve owned another “as seen on TV” stirrer that’s less than ten bucks. Don’t bother. But the search continued–home cooks don’t have a sous chef to do the stirring, and we have a lot of things to cook at once. Freeing us from one task so that we can do everything else better is a significant gain.This stirrer has real muscle–the motor is geared down so that it stirs with real power. Yesterday I made risotto, and it stirred the whole thing for me. It just sat there on the pan for about a half hour, stirring away instead of my having to stir.It’s adjustable, will work with a variety of pot diameters and heights. It charges quickly, in an hour or two. I’ve had it stir constantly for an hour without slowing down, and I’m sure it will run a lot longer on a charge. But there’s no reason why you can’t charge while it’s stirring, so if you put it away and it runs down you can still use it as long as you have an outlet within reach of your stovetop–or an extension cord.It also is cleverly designed so that it effectively rubs the bottom the pan it’s stirring and covers the whole thing. It does a quite thorough job of stirring. Maybe even better than I do!It’s quality construction. Everything is rugged, so it will last a long time. Good news is that the stirrer can go into the dishwasher–you want that, because, of course, it gets all involved with whatever you’re stirring, and needs to be well cleaned. You clean the rest of it yourself, but it doesn’t get messy and is easy enough too wipe off.The size is manageable. It won’t take up a huge amount of space. The only improvement that I’d want is a better box to store the three pieces and charger in, instead of the cardboard box it comes in. I reinforced that box with packaging tape, and use it to store the StirMATE, but it’s actually about twice as big as it needs to be and is not super durable.Finally, the price. For something as sturdily built and durable, I’d expect to pay more! It’s great to see a quality cooking accessory with a price that’s only two digits.If you’re looking for a gift for that foodie in your life, this could be the ideal choice. It’s new and isn’t sold in the cooking equipment stores, so your giftee won’t know about it. And when you first see it, its purpose isn’t clear. But when your giftee uses it, then you’ll be remembered for giving the perfect gift. And its durability will have you remembered for that gift every time it takes over a tough stirring task.

A great stirring tool, could use improvements
Pros:Works really well with the new version, which has the ability to adjust speed.1) The plastic withstands temperatures up to 190°F. Haven’t tried other temperatures yet.2) Holds a decent charge. It can potentially last for 10 hours, according to the manual.3) Easy to clean.4) The pot bottom is approximately 70% clean. See the attached picture.Cons:1) Plastic stained after stirring a pot of tea. Could use a Teflon coat? Uncertain if it leaches any chemicals. The package states it is BPA-free though.2) A metal accessory is needed for stirring or roasting at higher temperatures. It should have been included at this price point.3) The device could benefit from a slightly higher speed setting.4) It does not stir the entire pot. The bottom shows that 30% of the area is left unstirred, which could ruin the dish at higher heat. The stirring mechanism should cover the entire area.

Great Product!!!
I look for quality and results in a product and this did not disappoint. It is well made and easy to use. Did also purchase the metal stirrer separately and glad I did. I make rice pudding every Christmas and dread the hour and a half of stirring constantly. This worked so great and made best rice pudding ever. Worth ever penny and highly recommend!!!

Bought to reduce tomatoes.
Worked like a charm!!! cooked down frozen tomato sauce for 3 hours to reduce volume and never had to stir once, had it on automatic with this. I had ordered the SS bigger stirrer but the plastic one was plenty long enough for a large pot.

Great Idea but not 100%
Bought mine back in 2020.Pros- Works great for most of the easy meals that dont have big chunks of food.-Long lasting rechargeable battery-Quick friendly service when I had to return it for warranty repair. Spoke directly to the maker.Cons–Stir stick is cheap and flimsy and took on red color first time I did a tomato sauce. Hard to clean. Stir stick if floppy and annoying to wash. Also ended up melting a little bit too on a higher heat cook. Would have hoped for a higher temp plastic when dealing with a cookware item.-Died first time within first year. Not sure if I got a new replacement, refurbed unit, or my original back.-Died second time this weekend. Opened it up to find there is absolutely no moisture barrier within the unit to protect the internal parts. There was wire connection corrosion on all of the battery wires as well as the main body of the motor. Maybe they have fixed this for later versions but it was disappointing to learn.Generally happy with item and company but there are some needed improvements. Odd there aren’t more similar products on the market.

Doesn’t have enough strength to stir well.
I bought this to stir the pot while I dye shirts. It doesn’t have enough power to stir. I had to help it along. They had the right idea but was badly implemented. I checked out what made of. A micro motor with a lot of gears powered by a 9-volt rechargeable battery. Ended up keeping it just so I could power it with a drill instead. Might work fine if you are cooking anything that isn’t very thick.

I had been looking for something like this for some time. After reading a lot of reviews this unit seemed to be the best model available. After purchasing it and trying it, I believe it is.It’s a clever design, simple and efficient. It uses a 9V rechargeable battery which can be easily replaced when it is time to do so. It can also run a regular 9V battery if that’s what you want.I made a short video using the device to prepare a french desert: “riz au lait”. This requires slowly turning the mixture of 100gr of rice into 1 litre of milk for about 45 minutes on low heat, so this unit seemed perfect for this. At the beginning of the cooking the mixture is basically fully fluid. With time the rice starts to thicken the preparation and by the end it has a creamy relatively thick consistency. The unit had zero problem dealing with the thickness of the preparation. I only used about 1/4 of the available speed.The unit is easy to clean once removed. I am wondering if the plastic wand will withstand the work with time, but replacements are available at a decent price so it should not be a big problem.My only disappointment is the pricing in Canada. It is priced “reasonably” in the US but it is significantly overpriced in Canada. Furthermore, there was a 15% discount on Black Friday in the USA but no discount at all in Canada.The price in Canada is the only thing I am really not happy about with this unit, as otherwise it is a fantastic tool in the kitchen! I contacted the company in the US and they did try really hard to provide me with a Black Friday discount in Canada but as Amazon was selling this item through a 3rd party in Canada they were unable to make any adjustment to the price. Great customer service though!Would I recommend this item to a friend: absolutely!

The product description says nothing about a US plug, and the seller ships to mainland UK only so you would think this item would have a UK plug. Not so, however, and there was no option to contact the seller and explain, so I now have to return it and get a refund – very disappointing.
