So far the surface is perfect, nothing sticks and easy to clean. Downside is that the grease tray is shallow and barely holds the grease from cooking a pound of bacon.We got a set of pans with this coating before and they’re holding up great so far as well. So far Starfrit’s The Rock cookware is the best cookware purchases we’ve ever made. Hopefully they continue to hold up.

Perfect Grill for Tabletop Cooking
I absolutely love this grill and it is PERFECT for tabletop Hibachi Cooking. Up until a couple of weeks ago, my grill was working just fine. While shooting a cooking video, my grill decided to STOP working. I have reached out to this company TWICE and as of this day 5-12-2022, no one has contacted me. I purchased this grill in 2020 and it still looks just like it did in the photos above. I have an old electric grill that is over 10 years old and it STILL works AND, that is what I am using now since this grill decided to STOP WORKING. I wish someone would contact me and tell me why THIS GRILL STOPPED WORKING.

Great Surface but Uneven Heating
My apologies to the other reviewers who tried to warn me about uneven heating. I thought all electric skillets are a little uneven and you were being overdramatic. I was wrong as this skillet takes uneven heating to a whole new level. I had previously bought the 12″x12″ version and that was more manageable. I really like the surface, and it cleans up nicely. That is the surface itself. The handles are so close to skillet that it’s difficult to get between them to clean. The stop for the catch tray is too tight. I had to file it down so you can pull it out without a large jerking motion when you finally used enough force to pull it past. Perhaps I could have just bent the tray guide some to get it to pass more easily. I would not recommend this skillet for someone cooking the same thing over the whole skillet. Might not be so bad for cooking two or three different things at the same time but does not work well for filling it up with pancakes.

WARNING! DO NOT BUY THIS IF YOU WANT A GRIDDLE THAT LASTS MORE THAN A FEW MONTHS
My first griddle came with one of the supporting legs cracked and the company sent another griddle. I should have asked for a refund, because in early January the same leg cracked again. I was told that I’m past the point of return and they offered to sell me a warranty. No thank you! This is defective and new parts will only break in a few more months. Save yourself the money and look for something else. This is a piece of junk! Warning: I was told I was outside the 30 day return policy. This should tell you the quality of the product.

Good once you learn the hotspots
It has hotspots like a real griddle while I kind of expected an even heating surface.I may have missed that in the instructions but I don’t think so.Once you get used to where the hottest parts are (top right to bottom right)It’s good. I bought it specifically for pancakes and it works pretty well over all.

I’ve tried many grills. This is by far the best size wise. There are little areas where eggs or pancakes will seep into and then are a pain to wash. This entire larger than expected flat grill is all even. So easy to wash. I haven’t had great luck with the rock products in the past so I’m hoping this one will be the exception. For the price and the size I’m super happy. Most of the grills were smaller and it could only allow me to make three pancakes at a time. Now I can do six. Hopefully this holds up well. The bottom is not plastic. It’s made of the same material as the surface of the grill. It’s very sturdy and I’m happy with the purchase so far.

Love the grill but the power cord has failed now on my second one. Tried emailing the company and have had no response and return date has come and gone. Just disappointed with customer service.

Based on previous reviewers of this product and similar, the left quarter of the griddle is less hot than the right 3/4. The temperature dial is on the right.By making cooking adjustments, cooking bacon, pancakes, and eggs take less time due to the large surface.The surface is great…non-stick. We have a couple of frying pans with the same surface type and very pleased.Washing is a bit awkward due to our sink size and you have to avoid water going into the plug hole.Longevity is undetermined. Had it for only a few months.Overall, great investment and I can even use it to cook outside.
