Great gift!
This was a gift to my granddaughter and her husband. He tasted a sandwich that someone brought to work, and asked where they got the bread. They told him it was made in a bread machine. You really liked it, so I thought it would be a good Christmas present for them. They love it! And they make bread every other day in it!

I have used the bread maker three times before on setting 1 (white bread) and it was excellent in taste, texture, and the way the loaves looked. I did the delay setting and woke up the house smelling like a bakery. Today I used number 9 setting as shown in the picture, all breads were exceptionally good. The second picture above shows the bread when I cut it in half lengthwise. I would definitely recommend this bread maker. No drama, great price and consistent excellent results. Easy to use.

I’m having a great time making different recipes I get off the internet. The booklet is pretty basic for starting out till you’re ready to try other recipes. I love the dispenser too. Only thing is the cord is off to one side & not as long as I would prefer.

This unit is compact and with the stainless steel finish it blends in with my other appliances.I have only used it twice so far. The first white bread bake was a disaster. I don’t believe this was the machines fault but as other reviews have said the recipes in the manual are suspect. It also might have been the yeast I used, bread machine /instant yeast. I ended up with a floury gooey mess. Ok, bake number 2, successful. I switched to an online recipe and I used dry active yeast instead. It was simple. You just add the recommended amount of yeast (you need more dry active than instant, in this case 1 1/2 teaspoon instead of 1, to water you have warmed up to 45 celcius. I also ADDED THE SUGAR. iN THE POT THE YEAST FIZZED UP AS IT SHOULD WHICH PROVES IT IS GOOD (AN ADVANTAGE OVER THE INSTANT/BREAD MACHINE YEAST). I added all ingredients into the Starfrit, set it to white bread, medium crust, 900g loaf size and hit start. The unit operated perfectly and 3 hours or so later I had a perfectly baked white loaf. It came out of the pot easily, everything washed up very easily. In short it worked perfectly. One strange thing, the manual says the measuring implements it comes with (1 cup, tsp & tblspn) are “non standard” and are not meant to be used as such. Just what is that supposed to mean? Why bother including non-standard measures? Personally I ditched these and used proper measuring tools.Bottom line- a very nice unit to make medium sized loafs.
