Specta Mini GPS Drone with 4K UHD Camera, Under 24

Cool drone!
We’re going hiking/camping with friends this weekend and wanted to buy a drone to bring with us. Ive always heard great things about having one to take scenery pictures and videos. I didn’t want to spend almost 1k for one since I’m a beginner and not sure how it was going to work out. Or, in case something happens to it. I was searching for one that’s closest to the name branded ones but budget friendly. Came across this with decent reviews so decided to give it a try. First of all, I didnt have to register the device! That’s a plus. It came with a small manual, remote control, usbc cable, audio cable, and extra wings. The only thing that I needed to do before I set it up was to charge the device (it only took about an hr), and download the app. Downloading the app was no issue because I can easily connect it to my phone. Set up was actually a breeze and took like 10 minutes because it brings you through a step by step process via the app. Once I got it set up, it was time for a test take off! It was SO easy and fun! I took it outside of the house because I wanted to try it to see the quality of the video and I was pretty impressed. The video/picture quality was clear! The flying process was stable and smooth. I cant wait to try it at night! Connectivity was great, no lags, and the battery life lasted more than 30 minutes (surprisingly) which was longer than described. Overall, the size of the drone is compact and sturdy, easy to carry around as it’s pretty light weight. The device is not super loud either; sounds like a desktop fan. I can’t wait to bring it with us this weekend!

UPDATE (19.02.2025)————————————————So after my initial experience and feedback, which you can find below, Specta team contacted me, apologized, offered instant refund and also, offered 50% off on my next purchase, if I would consider again buying their drone. This all was a great gesture from their side and good example of customer care. I ordered second one, Specta issued 50% off, so at the and I’ve got the drone at a fantastic price. Again thanks to Specta team.After receiving the drone, I had the opportunity to fly it few times (about 3 hours overall) in the city as well as outside city, at some points with almost 2KM distance from the home point. This time there was no any accident, drone flies great, holds great, footage is very good (attaching short footage, it’s scaled down to Full HD, original is way better quality). I’ve tested RTH few times and it works as expected, no issues there to. So overall I’m very happy with this little drone and with the customer support. My initial incident seems to be a some factory defect, which I believe happens with every company from time to time, but the way Specta customer support handled this unpleasant experience, was fantastic.So at the end of the day, I put 5 stars to this little drone and the company. Highly recommended.INITIAL FEEDBACK (06.01.2025)————————————————While this drone has very good reviews and is considered as “Same is DJI”, on the second flight, flying around 400m from the home point, at around 40-50m altitude, the drone started to behave strange. I’ve initiated RTH, it stated to return but than started to drift away and in a few seconds it started to spin, completely lost control and crushed. While I was able to recover it, the gimbal is ruined. Not sure if it’s a single accident or happens a lot, but I have quite a bad experience.
