Great Value for Money with Impressive Sound Quality
The Sony MDR-ZX310AP headphones offer impressive sound quality for the price, with balanced bass and clear audio. They’re lightweight and comfortable, though the padding could be thicker for extended use. The foldable design makes them portable, and while the mic is basic, it works well for casual calls. Build quality feels sturdy enough for everyday use but might not withstand heavy wear. For the price, these are a fantastic choice for anyone needing quality sound on a budget!

Great sound at a fair price
Have no complaints. These headphones sound great. Admittedly I don’t use the on-wire microphone and controls, and the build feels a bit cheap, but they’ve held up being packed loose in a full backpack. For the price, I haven’t found better alternatives. They make some plastic noise as you take them on and off, for what it’s worth.

One of the best 20 dollar headphones but could be better
Theyre really lightweigh, and they sound very good, I use them with a EQ so that might be why. A few things that could make them perfect would be, have better frequency response, slightly bigger sound drivers, and a flip to mute boom mic. Of course these things would probably drive the price up a little bit but it’d be well worth it around 30-40 dollars.

good price, muddy tone
hard to beat the price, cool features , long cord but really dont sound very good. super muddy bass. it’s fine if you EQ heavily but considering they’re not particularly comfortable, it’s rare these would be your favorite headphones

Now we’re talking.
Disappointed by my purchase of a similar product from Philips, I figured I’d try Sony. Despite their subpar customer service on other products, I thought the lower price would be a good palliative measure to ease any disappointment. No disappointment here, though. Loud enough to cause ringing ears (but please don’t go that far) and clear enough you can make out all the tiny nuances and even some of the more obscured instruments in your music. Just what I needed, so for once, Sony got it 95% right rather than their usual 60%. The one thing I don’t like is the short cord. I have to plug it in at the front of my PC rather than to the sound card. A short extension solves that problem, but still, I’d have preferred to have another 18 inches or so on the cord. But hey, I have my music, which is all I wanted. I’m good.

Long lasting functionality
NOTE: The attached pictures are of my (six year old) pair.I bought an identical pair (same brand, color, etc) a few years back when I graduated high school. I really liked them and they are an affordable price, so I bought this pair for my sister. My pair has worked well all these years and still provides excellent sound quality. It has been almost six years and they are just now starting to wear. The ear cushions are tearing off and a tiny bit of the paint is beginning to chip – and this is after almost daily use for five and a half years and carrying them around in my backpack half the time. I personally don’t mind the tearing as they still hold together well enough and I don’t notice the tearing when wearing the headphones – the cushion itself is still good. The mic still works great and so does the sound functionality. I imagine they will last many more years to come. These headphones are adjustable and the ears are even labeled: “R” for “Right ear”; “L” for “Left ear”.

PROS:- very balanced sound quality, deep bass without being overpowering, clear mids and sparkling highs, with a very perceptively flat response. Also easy to drive, so you don’t need to crank these phones with tons of volume (although they can handle a lot of volume). They’re not studio-referenced or audiophile, but if you’re stuck on a desert island, these will do very fine.- Microphone is also very good quality, picks up well and its sound quality is perfectly suited for voice communication and does in pinch without needing a mic on an arm like most traditional headsets. Also works fine with conventional stereo 3-lead TRS headphone jacks.- folds well, durable (with one exception, see the Cons) and looks inconspicuous enough, they look their price, but they are comfy, and unlike a lot of other inexpensive headphones that require to break them in for about 20-60 hours so that they sound their best, these ones are good to go from the moment you plug them in for the first time.CONS:- Although they are decent to cutting out some level of ambient noise, they’re not noise-cancelling.- The 1.2 m or 4 ft. cord isn’t long enough. Sony really should at at least add another foot or two to their headphones of this category.- Also, their 90-degree angled plug is the one weak spot about these headphones – it wears down eventually, no matter how careful you are with them. I’ve had this exact model before in red, and it lasted about 3 years. I didn’t baby them and I’ve used them everyday, but eventually, that weak spot gives out. For the price of these phones, is it worth it? That would be up to you, of course. Thanks for reading!

These headphones are super comfortable to wear for long durations. They’re lightweight and adjustable. I prefer over the ear headphones to on the ears, but this pair is an exception. The cushions on these headphones are thin and soft so they don’t press down on the ears like most on the ear headphones. The sound quality is great for the price. I only use them indoors so I didn’t require noise cancellation so these work well for me. If you’re looking for headphones that cancel noise or something to wear on the go, I wouldn’t recommend these. The wires aren’t the best so I’m not sure they’d withstand daily commute on say public transport, but they’re portable and foldable so they’d fit right in your backpack. The design is pretty early 2000s, classic Sony, and it takes me back and I love that because this design feels more comfortable, functional, lightweight with no fluff – compared to all the bulky headphones that are going around right now. I’m not sure how long these are going to last because they do feel delicate, including the cushions, but for the price paid I’m pretty satisfied.
