Excellent vacuum cleaner that continues to perform, 2+ years later
Follow-up Review Fall 2021: I wrote my first review after owning this vacuum for a year and another year has passed and this little machine is still going strong. I love this vacuum as it makes my life so much easier and is so easy to use. I use this vacuum, every 1-2 days as I have a small home, 4 dogs and a lush yard with trees, flowers and grass. The dogs bring any and everything inside and this little vacuum has been used consistently, for the past 2 years, and every 1-2 days on a regular basis. It is absolutely wonderful! I love it so much, I am taking it with us in our RV. It not only keeps a house free of grass, leaves and pollen, it keeps dust bunnies, cob webs, dog hair on furniture and dust on dressers, etc, away. I use it to vacuum dust off of lampshades and it works beautifully. I cannot say enough about this vacuum and highly recommend it to anyone needing a small vacuum that is durable (I am rough on stuff) and can handle the amount of dog hair we have in this house. I love that it is easy to store and also easy to empty. You will not regret buying this handy little vacuum.First Review Fall 2020: I waited a whole year to leave a review and have to say I am highly impressed with this vacuum. While in a vacation rental for a week, the owner left behind the exact vacuum in the maid’s closet. After our first day there, I noticed our dogs had shed on the rugs and decided to use the vacuum cleaner. I was instantly in love as I had only used a Rainbow vacuum for the past 25+ years and never thought anything was comparable. I was wrong when I used this little guy. I came home and decided to buy one for my own home. Fast forward to a year later of ownership and this vacuum has been wonderful. Because of pet hair, I vacuum our house every 1-2 days. I use to Swift our floors daily and now with this vacuum, I just use it instead. Porches and all. This vacuum has held up and does an impressive job with not only pet hair, grass and leaves being brought in, dust from the base boards, closets, cabinets, drawers, furniture tops, dusting lamps, AC vents that get dusty, dog beds, cobwebs, etc. The only place I cannot reach is under the bed, but that was an easy solution as we just lifted the bed up to vacuum under it. When needed, I rinse the detachable chamber that holds all the hair and dust and then set it out to dry. I even wash the foam filter when needed and then let it dry. The amount of use this vacuum receives on a monthly basis, proves this is an impressive vacuum and I highly recommend.

Great vacuum with powerful suction
Oh my goodness, apparently my previous vacuum was either just super old (5 years) or was just mainly meant for hard floors with some carpet because man I pulled like 8 canisters from my carpet the first time I used the new one. I like Shark vacuums and I previously had a shark ion duo cordless but my previous apartment was all hard floors with a few carpets I laid out so it worked. My new apartment is mostly carpet. I have ran this vacuum over it for like an hour and a half just in my living room which isn’t huge and was just dumping canister after canister. It was like my previous vacuum just surfaced vacuumed. It was like I was vacuuming up ash from a charcoal grill with the consistency of the dust but maybe it is just ash carryover from the previous tenants. There is a fireplace that I never use because I know my daughter would find a way to burn herself. Basically this vacuum is awesome! It has amazing suction power and it is not kicking dust everywhere. I like that it has two bins for dirt collection. One collects larger things like small toys you accidentally suck up which has a filter to the other bin which collects the dirt and dust. Totally worth the price. The only con is it is a bit awkward using the attachments because the hose is a bit short but it has great suctioning power. Also the box shows that it comes with a duo attachment holder since it comes with two attachments. But mine came with a single attachment holder. I’ve had this vacuum for about two weeks now.

Amazing product
I have never purchased a Shark vacuum before but after a friend’s recommendation I gave it a shot. This has been the best choice I have ever made. This cleaner is light weight,so easy to use and the suction on this is amazing which is great with pet hair. Just love this vacuum and a joy to use!!

Pretty good, but I was underwhelmed
I was loyal to another brand, but my latest didn’t hold up like it should have. So I bought this based on recommendations.The suction is good and I will say that no hair is yet tangled in the brush roller. I like the ability to take the canister off – makes the stairs easier. Emptying the canister is easy too.I think the vacuum head is significantly smaller than any previous vacuum I’ve had. There is only storage for one attachment and it’s not even very secure. The machine tips easily when the wand is being used. The cord is pretty short and the canister doesn’t hold much.I don’t think it’s as good as my previous machines but it’s not bad. I don’t think it’s worth the price or the hype.

Really does self clean!!!!
IT’S AMAZING! I’ve never geeked out about a vacuum this much before!!! At first I was unimpressed bc the hair seemed to wrap around the roll like every other vacuum (first pic). But the second pic is 5 min later after running it for a while – it does as advertised and actually untangles the hair around the roll. No more unscrewing and having to cut the hair off the roll!!! Note: Since it takes a few minutes to untangle itself, I’d recommend vacuuming slower if you have a lot of hair so that it doesn’t get clogged. Dont just leave it on without moving it though, I tried that, but I think you have to keep pushing it around for the self-cleaning to work.Also, the suction power is POWERFUL! It picked up SO MUCH dirt and hair my old one didn’t. The tank was half full just from vacuuming my tiny condo living room ONCE. No wonder my dust allergies were so bad this whole time!Other pros: It’s way lighter than my old one and easy to maneuver. Everything clicks and locks into place so beautifully. Emptying the tank is super easy. You never have to get your hands dirty.Downsides: Not recommended for high pile rugs. I tried on my shag rugs in the bathroom just as a test and it does not move at all even with the suction power on the lowest setting. But it works perfectly fine on my hard floors and low pile living room carpet, which is all I care about.

I recently lost my Dyson in a separation , I needed a vacuum right away because I have hairy dogs. The stuff that came out of my living room rug was disgusting and amazing. Obviously my last vacuum was not doing the trick. Only downside is that it is heavy to use on stairs. Love that it is good for carpet and wood floors with the touch of a switch.

This vacuum does everything it claims! I have 2 dogs, 3 cats, 2 teens, plus a man! Having the long hose makes all the difference in the world. I really wish they would make the cord longer!Going to order another one and keep it in the box, so when this one finally gives out, I will have the perfect replacement!You won’t regret buying this vacuum!

Was a little disappointed that the power pet brush is sold separately, as I assumed it came with it, given this is the Pet Pro model, however, Customer Service at Shark was amazing, and I got the power head at a discounted price shipped directly to my door in Canada. As for the vacuum itself, I just did my little screened porch carpet, bare floors, and furniture, and I was amazed at the amount of dirt it picked up.Pros: excellent suction, power beater bar does an excellent job, love the swivel action which makes it easier to move it around, attachments are easy to connect and remove, hose and wand are early to detach and use.Cons: a little heavy, and it tends to fall over easily when using the wand in detached mode if you are too far from the unit. It also doesn’t seem to have onboard storage for all the attachments, only two, so other attachments have to be stored elsewhere, which is a little inconvenient. It also is a bit noisy.Overall, I would recommend it.
