Great cleaner for small jobs!
I recently purchased the Shark Portable Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner, and it has been a lifesaver for quick cleanups. With three kids running around, messes are inevitable, and this little machine has made tackling them so much easier.Pros: • Compact and Lightweight: It’s easy to carry around the house, even up and down stairs. • Powerful Suction: Despite its size, it lifts stains and dirt effectively from carpets and upholstery. • Easy to Use: The controls are simple, and the cleaning solution tank is straightforward to fill and empty. • Quick Drying: After cleaning, surfaces dry relatively fast, which is a big plus.Cons: • Small Tank Capacity: You may need to refill the tank for larger areas, but it’s perfect for spot cleaning. • Cord Length: The cord could be a bit longer for better reach, but an extension cord solves this issue.Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase. Cleaning one spot will make you clean the whole thing.
I bought this to clean up a pet mess on a rug. This rug pictured was at my back door where the dogs go out and come in. I knew it was dirty, but not this much (pictured). Once I cleaned up the mess with the Shark, it was such a huge difference, that I’ll need to clean the whole thing, and continue on to clean all the rugs in my house. I had completely forgot that this rug was silver in color.At first, I thought I was missing attachments. There is a crevice tool and a reversible brush (one side is a stiff bristle and the other side is a scrubber with rubber nubs) that isn’t in the box. But when I removed the smaller attachment, I realized that the crevice tool is inside! And the brushes are already attached, just snap them off and the other type of brush is on the other side.Tip for best suction – don’t use the wide attachment. I know it covers more ground, but the smaller one has waaay more. Making it more efficient in the long run. It was powerful enough to lift the corner of a thick, stiff rug. I’ve used other machine in the past, but none with this much power.It’s a little big, but I like the large capacity for both cleaner and dirty water. I can go a lot further in cleaning session. I recommend the set that includes the full size cleaners. Trust me, you’ll need them. But even the large size, I was surprised at how light it was. It’s not heavy at all. It’s easy to use. Quick start-up. I can use hot water. I’ve only had it a week, so I can’t say anything about longevity. But it seems well built.

The instructions are clear with easy diagrams for those that need every visual possible. Even I, set this up in a very short amount of time. Five minutes max. You simply detach the water tank, fill it with water to the first line then top it up with the signature Shark cleaning solution to the second line. You then screw the lid back on tightly and put it back in place.Next, you want to remove the Stain Striker tank and fill it with the OXY Multiplier Formula which I believe is what my carpets owe their fresh scent to. Secure the lid and put it back in place, it is all very easy. You are nearly ready to go, it is just a case of securing the tool you want to use, to the main crevice tool. To remove them, you press the small release button and it slides on and off, feeling almost magnetic. I quickly got the hang of it so I’m sure anyone would, you just need to get the angle right.I found it all very intuitive.I followed the instructions, spraying the stained areas for a few seconds holding the head level, scrubbing, and then sucking up the remnants using the extractor, which works by simply pulling the crevice tool towards you, as you press into the carpet. I often saw results instantly.As instructed for deep-set staining, I went over this using the wide tough stain tool once, leaving the solution on for 15-20 minutes or so before scrubbing again and extracting the debris.Cleaning your cleaning supplies after you’ve just done a load of chores feels like ugh to me, however, it is important to keep your machine in good working order and it was very easy with the StainStriker so I really can’t complain. You want to unplug the machine, and pour out the dirty water from the tank, before giving it a rinse. Then all of the clear lids on the tools slide off for easy rinsing in the sink. Note ‘rinse’, I did not submerge anything in water. You can easily remove the cup from the pet stain-trapping tool too for a good clean. To clean the crevice tool, you attach the hose cleaning tool which is easy to slot on, you plug the machine back in, switch it on, and press the lever, running it for about a minute so that it clears out lingering debris. You can do this multiple times, depending on how bunged up yours is. You will want to remove the little black filter too and give it a rinse, everything is really well indicated in the pamphlet and I found the processes self-explanatory.There is also an orange connecting clip underneath the machine which you can remove to take out any clogged debris. I started using it to clean the sofa and the suction stopped working 5 mins in. I don’t know how to fix it or return it now, it’s money wasted. And they’re sending it to uae with a USA plug, that should be mentioned or sell it only in the us.

They are selling this product for $600 and they are sending you a US device to Australia. When you can buy one in Australia for $199 that is actually an Australian product. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT IT IS A COMPLETE RIP OFF!
