Dryer heating element fried – thank goodness it didn’t catch on fire! Ordered this part, watched a few videos while waiting, item arrived on time, and then item installed for a perfect fit. Take the time to vacuum out any accumulated lint in the dryer to prolong its life and prevent a fire. Videos online are super helpful. So far so good – dryer works again.

Works perfect on a Samsung DV210AEW
My 7 year old Samsung DV210AEW died and I thought I was going to have to lay out $800 for a Speed Queen dryer. Being a handy person and as I tore apart my washer when that broke a few years back, I decided to do the same for the dryer. It was easy to tell the heating coil was broken as it was in two pieces. I searched Amazon at 8:30 pm on a Tuesday and found this replacement part. Shipping was free with next day delivery so I ordered it up – a whopping $16 (plus two other items to put me over the $35 next day shipping threshold)! Part arrived around 12:30 pm on Wednesday. It is now 1:45 and the dryer is cooking its first set of clothes. I took the dryer apart last night so the install today took about 30 minutes from start to heating some clothes. I am timing how long it takes but common sense would predict the drying cycle will be much less than in the recent past.Overall, very pleased with this inexpensive part, Amazon’s quick shipping, and the ease of installation. I saved about $784 dollars but still plan to get that Speed Queen dryer in the future to provide company to the Speed Queen washer I recently purchased.

I found this link to a video from a parts supplier, and it was perfect to guide me through the steps to replace the heating element:repairclinic.com/RepairHelp/How-To-Fix-A-Dryer/8-160-1420453-/Samsung-Dryer-doesn-t-heat-DV219AEWXAAAll you need is:1) Phillips Head Screwdriver2) Needle Nose Pliers3) Flashlight4) Shop Vac (to clean the inside of the dryer in order to keep the heating element free from lint build up).My Samsung dryer was working normally, but was blowing cold air. This video (see link above) guided me through each step easily. Just keep each set of screws separated as you take the appliance apart and it will go together much easier without having to guess which screws to use next. It took me about 30 minutes in total to fix this appliance and I have never taken a dryer apart before. Very simple procedure, but you need to be careful not to cut your hands on the very sharp metal heating element housing. Work slowly and methodically and it is a simple procedure the average person can handle. It was obvious that I needed a heating element when I pulled the old unit apart. The main plate had broken, as well as the coil. When I started the dryer up for the first time after repairing it, there was a very acrid electrical odor from the heating element’s initial heating. Be sure to open a window while the heating element is heated for the first time to aid in household ventilation. The part itself says “made in USA,” but I have my doubts. I do not believe this product is OEM, but it works just fine.I ordered this product on a Thursday at about noon, and it arrived on Monday afternoon via the US Postal Service. No issues, product is “as advertised.” Works great. No issues. I recommend it, and the shipping company for prompt service.There is another video on YouTube that takes the heating element housing out from the back of the dryer. Don’t do this. It’s much easier to get at the heating element from the front.

Bought one in 2019 and back to buy another. First on lasted 5 years hopefully this lasts. Cheaper than buying a new dryer, but stinks we have to keep replacing this.

This dryer heating element was easy to install and has been working flawlessly for about a month now. I’m not sure if it’s an actual OEM part, but I haven’t had any issues. My dryer is running like new. Highly recommend for anyone needing a reliable and straightforward replacement part!
