    Excellent quality, money well spent!!
I’ve owned my Rowenta iron for 2 years now and it’s definitely one of the best small home appliances I’ve ever owned! It’s very well made and SOOO nice to use! BONUS: It has a retractable cord too!! I especially love the fact that it doesn’t require distilled, filtered or purified water, just water, straight from the tap *further explanation can be found in your owners manual. It does an absolute beautiful job of ironing! I love the option buttons for “direct water spray” or “extra steam” and of course the ability to turn steam off when needed. The soleplate glides nicely over fabrics and cleans up well. When the soleplate does require cleaning (starch build up etc.) use the “Rowenta Soleplate Cleaning Kit”. It restores your Soleplate to NEW condition. And NO, I did not get compensated for this review, I’m simply a consumer who is happy with her purchase!! Money well spent!!

    Iron – Steam -or- Both
This small but mighty iron is attached to a water reservoir, with a good 3-4ft. Wrapped tubing. It is a well made, heavy duty iron that has a button on the easy to hold handle to release steam when you desire. With the combined iron and steam it presses and steams clothing effortlessly. There is a lot of cords, but the reservoir has a cord clip holder on the side to help with storing it away. This iron works so well with little effort that it almost gives you a professional pressed feel. This would be great for an everyday use, setup in a laundry room, for a seamstress, quilter, or really and crafter.

    Nice iron!
In my opinion this iron is not heavy as some reviews stated. I absolutely love it! Plug it in and you will be ironing in no time. It glides smoothly over the fabric. I did accidentally melt the collar on one of my blouses, I underestimated how quickly this iron would heat up. This is without a doubt the best iron i have ever owned. I think nothing looks worse than someone wearing wrinkled clothing. If one has a decent iron it only takes a few minutes to make your clothes look nice. I have been living on my own for almost 50 years, so I have owned several irons. I love the retractable cord! Makes storage a breeze. The weight of the iron is sufficient to decrease the effort required to get wrinkles out. I do wish the water reservoir was a bit larger, but that is not a deal breaker for me. The temperature adjustment is in an awkward place which makes it a bit difficult to read. I do recommend that you use a pressing cloth if working with delicate fabric as i melted the collar on a synthetic blouse. Overall i am extremely pleased with my purchase!

    Great Iron
I purchased this to replace my old Rowenta iron I had for over 15 yrs. This iron is clearly taller than most irons, but that is because of the retractable chord storage in the bottom…which I love! I took off one star because it is little heavy but I’m assuming it’s because it’s heavy duty. It irons smoothly and handles easily. The vertical steam is a great feature, especially for delicate fabrics. The water opening is a little tricky to fill, but otherwise it works great. I’m hoping this will last as long as my last Rowenta iron.

    Horrible Iron
I’ve never purchased a Rowenta product before, but this iron seemed like a great iron and had good reviews. However, I’m extremely disappointed in this product. It’s not even 2 months old and it’s making a loud clanking noise every minute or so. It’s so loud, I jump whenever it happens. Also, this iron gets way too hot, even on a low setting and has already damaged a bunch of my clothes. As soon as the iron touched the clothes, they instantly melted! They were not repairable at all and I had to throw them out! Also, the iron kept steaming, even though I had the steam switch set to off and the thermostat dial set all the way down to delicate and displaying the NO STEAM icon. It was very dangerous and would blast a forceful gust of steam right in my face while I was in the middle of ironing. It would scare the heck out of me! And then it ruined my delicate blouse that I was trying to gently iron. Steam should NOT have been coming out when I had the steam feature set to off and the thermostat dial all the way down to delicate. Even if I did have the steam feature on, it should not just randomly explode out of the iron so violently and forcefully! This is definitely a safety issue and dangerous to operate. Then, when I contacted Amazon Customer Support, because they were the Seller, they were going to charge me a 45% restocking fee because it was just past the return period, which is ludicrous! I registered this product, as soon as I received it, and it’s covered under the manufacturer’s warranty, but I’ve contacted them twice already and have yet to hear from them. This is just the worst experience with a product that I’ve ever endured. I am not confident in the Rowenta brand and will not buy this brand again! My last iron lasted 15 years and worked great until the last die, when it just died, and had to be replaced. Thus, my reason to purchase this Rowenta iron. I did hours of research and thought this would be a good iron, but it is not!

    Great iron
For the past 25 years, I’ve used the same vintage iron I inherited. I finally updated and I’m glad I did. This is a good iron. It’s bigger than I would like but works well and is easy to use.

I have to admit, I am no expert in irons. But I really like this one. I use it primarily to iron dress shirts. It works very well, and seems to be very well built. The retractable cable is amazing, and is long enough in my opinion. It looks good, it works well, and it is convenient to use. I am happy!
