Explore a fantastical adventure world to defeat a bodybuilding dragon and his minions using real-life exercises. Traverse grass-swept plains by jogging in place, attack enemies with overhead shoulder presses, and refill your health meter by striking some yoga poses. Two new accessories, Ring -Con and Leg Strap, measure your real-world actions and help turn them into in-game movements. With additional minigames, Ring Fit Adventure is a great escape for players of all skill levels and schedules.

In Adventure mode, defeat enemies with attacks based on real-world exercises. As you work through each level (and possibly work up a sweat), you’ll earn experience points. Between fights, you may encounter some unusual methods of transportation such as squat-powered launch pads, and more. Want to compete with others? Pass around the Ring-Con accessory and select from a few minigames: break boxes with gusts of air, craft pottery using squats and many others.

It’s worth the challenge and a try
It’s a fun and interesting game. You get good work out with easy to follow instructions. It doesn’t pressure you to play very day and even recommends breaks. I’ve lost about 10 lbs in one month doing about one level a day, but I’ve only worked out for about 14 days of that month. I’m no spring chicken, and I have a lot of extra weight. I tried this to be healthier in a more “fun” way and it’s working. You can adjust the difficulty if you are a health nut or just starting to exercise again after many years. The thigh strap might be a struggle for those with beautiful larger thighs, but it is very stretchy and can accommodate most thighs. There’s also a mode for reps outside the game so you can work out while watching TV or working and add them later or gift to a friend (weird but sure). The story is mega dorky, but ypu might chuckle a bit. It’s worth the challenge and a try

    A game changer
Writing this review from Costa Rica, 8 months after I began playing this game. I’ll rephrase that, exercising with this game changer. I’ve had a goal of losing weight and becoming healthier for the last 10 years and today, I’m happy to say I’m getting there.I began mid-December 2019 and so far I’ve lost 22kgs (48 pounds). I’m halfway through my end goal and I will do my best to update this review around March 2021, hoping to bring bigger numbers :)Back when I started, I played the game from 3 to 4 times every week for between 10 to 15 minutes of effective work out time (not to be confused with total session time, which was around 25 to 30 minutes). Combined with a new eating plan from my nutritionist, I began losing between 2 to 3 pounds on a monthly basis.I’ll admit it, I got tired of the game after 6 months of constant weekly use and began looking for alternative options to do exercise like jogging outside. At first, the jogging was going very well, but I soon realized my weight loss started slowing down. After that, I came back to the game and I’m glad I did! I now do between 18 to 25 minutes of effective exercise having sessions of around 45-50 minutes.I haven’t finished the main story, I’m on world 21 and have read there are 23 worlds, so I should be completing it within the next 2 weeks. The purchase of this game was completely worth it, specially now that most of us should try to stay home and avoid places like the gym. It’s fun how my body starts asking me to play this game during the week, it’s an amazing and a fun exercise. I feel you’re really in control of how much you have to push yourself and the feeling afterwards is very rewarding.I thank Nintendo for this amazing game, I love the story, the progression system, game play, graphic, battles and I hope that they’ll at some point release a DLC with more of it!

Fun game and good for doing exercise
I wanted to buy the fit ring for long time, it really helps me to exercise in fun, and my daughter started to exercise with me.

    Can’t recommend Ring Fit enough
I decided recently I need to start exercising, but have had a ton of trouble figuring out necessary how to exercise, what works well for me, and to actually build a habit of it. As of writing this, it’s in the thick of the COVID-19 pandemic, so going to the gym is out of the question and can’t get a personal trainer, so this seemed like a great idea for an adaptive and fun exercise regiment. And it is!What I’ve heard most about Ring Fit is it’s kinda tough, which is true starting out. However I’ve been doing this for four days and have been able to increase the difficulty a little and comforably double my workout time today, so I feel it’s built me up very quickly (not that I’m going for longer than 30 min ever, or that I’m suddenly swol). When you start out, it asks you about your age and weight, how much you exercise already, and how much of a workout you want, as well as gauges your push and pull strength, to give you an appropriate workout regiment. It also frequently reminds you to take breaks, hydrate, and to not over-do it. I did over-do it once, so I just hit the “cool down” button, which brings you to the finishing stretches, as well as shows you your progress and a brief lesson on how to maintain a healthy lifestyle. The Pilates ring is very sturdy! I was worried it would be kinda flimsy as it’s a video game pack-in, but it’s clearly meant to handle the abuse for years to come. The leg strap could be bigger in my opinion; I’m not a big person at all, but have very large thighs, and have trouble getting it to fit nicely. Above all the motion controls are very responsive and accurate, to the point I nearly forgot to mention it as you’re never given any reason to think about it; it’s just smooth and accurate. Also really love how the IR sensor on the right joycon reads your pulse! It’s a little wonky, usually takes a couple tries to get it to read a steady pulse, but really cool none the less.I haven’t ventured much past the main campaign, but it has A LOT of bonus material. There are several minigames(my favorite is Thigh Rider which, as you can guess, targets your thighs), sets to workout various areas, virtual jogging paths, a “multitask” mode which you can workout on your own with the ring without using the screen and it records your progress, and targeted workouts for specifit muscle groups. Haven’t yet dipped into the Custom Workout, but intend to in the next few days.I absolutely can’t recommend this enough to anyone who wants to get into working out and is having trouble finding the motivation. I have ADHD so creating new habits can be really hard, so it’s often necessary to gameify things like this so I can be motivated to continue with it. Trouble is it can be a little too fun sometimes and can be hard to walk away from when you get worn-out, so absolutely make sure to supervise any children who might be using this (or housemate with ADHD lol).I feel this is a very good tool for working out, and comes at a very reasonable MSRP (got mine for $70). Hope this review helps, and I hope this tool helps as many people as possible!EDIT: I lost a pound after a week of use! Granted I’ve got a fast metabolism (when it works right, got Hashimoto’s disease so not always the case), and I’ve adopted a high-protein diet, so results will vary. This is exciting for me because, largely due to factors caused by the pandemic and chronic illness, I’m about 10 pounds overweight. Very glad to know what a “good workout” is and to see results!
