    Nice camera with spotlights
Wow…impressed. The same model I bought 2 years ago and I got this one cheaper and now they have spotlights. Nice camera picture. It has a different USB for the solar panel I already had on the building but fortunately they also have a short adapter. I have had 2 cameras for 2 years with no issues. $20 per month for cell cards.

    Warranty claim
I bought this camera for a property entrance and it worked wonderfully for us for Appx 1.5 years. It quit charging and so after taking it down I just figured it must be the solar panel so I went on Amazon and bought another one hooked it up and it still didn’t work.I knew it was more than a year since I bought it and thought it had a one year warranty. When I went on Amazon again to buy one I see it advertised a two year warranty!!! I emailed customer service and got a reply right away and they sent me a replacement free of charge!!It’s nice to see someone stand behind their product with no hassle. I love this camera.

Nice features but has major problems
11/4/22Update. Having constant problems with this camera. Changing rating to a 1. Over the past 6 months I have been fighting to keep this thing working almost weekly. Requires resetting the unit every time. Sometimes working, sometimes not. Solar panel was keeping a 90% to 100% charge but recently camera stopped working completely. Tried charging with USB but orange and red lights flash alternately. Looks like the battery is toast after about 7 months. I won’t be ordering any more of this brand.————Generally this is a very nice security camera with great features. The video quality is excellent and the ability to remotely move the lens position is awesome. However I am having some problems that make this camera somewhat annoying.First the ability to control this camera through the app is spotty. I am showing a 4 bar signal strength but am getting connection errors most of the time. Live watching is impossible. Adjustment of the camera angle is very difficult. Maybe if you are in an area with a 5 bar signal it might work better.Second I hate the PIR motion sensing. It supposed to be better than the older trail cam sensing technology about not triggering on trees moving, bugs, etc. The range supposed to be 10 meters but it has trouble triggering even at 5 meters. It says in the instructions that it triggers on people and cars. It triggers most of the time on people but rarely triggers on cars at any distance. I have the sensitivity level up all the way now at 100% and do get false triggering now, but it still does not trigger on the cars very often. I wish it used the older technology. At least I would be able to get the cars coming by.This device has good potential if they can fix the PIR motion detection

Good Camera, but Check Your Signal Strength and Go With the EIOT SIM Card.
When the camera is able to connect to the network, it works well… but if it’s unable to connect, troubleshooting it can be a nightmare.I live in the US and went with T-Mobile as recommended by Reolink but had one heck of a time getting the camera to connect. After contacting their support (which is quite slow, expect ~24hrs between responses), they said that they recommend the EIOT SIM card which is available here on Amazon. I was quite furious with the discrepancy as I had already spent ~$21 on T-Mobile but, after a bit of convincing, they agreed to reimburse me for my unnecessary expenses. While I wasn’t insanely impressed by the customer service, they did ultimately resolve my issues and try to make things right. That said, the EIOT SIM was able to connect, presumably to the AT&T network instead of T-Mobile (since it supports both). After that, it was relatively easy to set up.As for the camera…Setup: 5/5 Once connected, the setup is very easy. Download the app, scan the QR code on the device, and you’re set! Navigate through the options to setup your preferences. Best of all, unlike most companies these days, I wasn’t even required to register for an account – though the option was there, presumable for the online storage and premium features that I don’t intend to make use of.Picture Quality: 4/5 Picture quality was decent. There’s definitely cameras out there that will give you a much better picture, but most of them are not designed to work over the cellular network and run on solar power. That said, these are so much better than a lot of the CCTV + DVR budget security systems you’ll find at retail stores.Quality Outputs: 3/5 It’s great that the camera supports multiple streams to save precious data/bandwidth on the cellular plan while still being able to record high quality. That said, I feel like the options for those streams were a bit more limited than I was hoping. I’d like to have seen at least 3 stream output settings, with more precision control over the quality of each, including the framerates and resolution.SIM/MicroSD Slots: 3/5 The SIM and MicroSD card are quite frustrating to insert and remove, especially when you’re juggling two of them and trying to troubleshoot issues. They do provide you with an SIM ejection tool, but there’s no conventional eject button – you have to balance the tool on the edge of the SIM card and press it in to eject.4G/LTE Cellular: 3/5 The connectivity seems to be alright, but could certainly be better. I was unable to get this camera to connect to the T-Mobile network but an old iPhone was able to connect just fine with the same SIM card. Similarly, the voice prompt states to “check the signal strength” but there is no signal strength indicator anywhere on the camera.Customer Service: 4/5 While slow (~1 day between responses, excluding weekends), they were consistent in trying to help resolve my connection issues, appeared to actually read and respond to my messages (seems obvious, but is often not the case these days), didn’t make annoying or obvious use of canned messages, and while a bit resistant – they worked to make things right.5G Cellular: */* Not supported. With the 3G network being decommissioned, it’d be great to see support for newer technologies like 5G.WiFi: */* No supported. Without WiFi, this is a very limited use camera. If you’re going to need this camera to be in the same spot for the next 10 years, awesome! But if you’re only needing to monitor the location for a short period of time, this camera becomes more of an expense than it’s worth since you’re not able to repurpose it for use at your home where you already have internet and a WiFi network to connect to. It’d be senseless to continue paying the ridiculous $10/mo for 2GB data fees when it’s not absolutely necessary – but without the data plan this device becomes a rather large paperweight.Overall: 4/5 Easy setup, easy to configure, easy to install (if you’re comfortable with ladders and drills), decent picture quality, and decent customer service. The fact that it didn’t have 5G or WiFi support wasn’t a surprise, so I’m not including that in my overall rating. That said, they would definitely have been nice additions at this price… and if included, would have been far superior from any of it’s competitors products that I’ve come across.

Perfect solution for no power/wifi points
We’ve had this camera running since early 2023. It has crisp, clean pictures and the app is easy to operate. The camera set up takes 5 minutes, very user friendly. We did run into an issue recently that the camera stopped working. I contacted their support and was helped by Arient who walked me through checking some things. Once it was determined the camera would not power on again, they promptly sent me a brand new unit and new solar panel completely free of charge (under warranty). Perfect company who stands behind their products and customer service was top notch!

    Loyal Customer.
A year after purchasing – the unit began having consistent problems with the connection between the SIM card and therefore was not transmitting. I contacted support and they immediately responded with suggestions. I tried each one to no avail. Reolink immediately issued a return order and upon confirmation that I had shipped the defective unit back to them, I had a new in the box unit within two days. In this day and age you just don’t find that customer service often. Well done Reolink! You’ve earned a loyal customer.

I was using this camera for a production well that produces for my business and it is located where it is very secluded and no electricity is present at all. in all it was very good for everything picture , sound , movement side to side and speaker microphone , only issue is that the battery unfortunately doesn’t last long with no sun out during cold winter months in Southern Ontario, but that is definitely expected considering how cold and dark it can get at times, for the solar panel has no chance to charge up battery. I also did experience a problem with my camera along the way and it did eventually quit working, couldn’t recognize the sim card , which was frustrating to say the least. But here is where the 5 stars , i give the reolink support team and doing a great job in walking me through troubleshooting and they eventually sent me a new one anyway under warranty to replace defective one and were back up and running and working well again. So even if you experience issues along the way Reolink support will have you looked after .

Had a little difficulties finding a SIM card that would work in it in Canada, but Best Buy hooked me up with a tablet sim, Works fantastic for 16 bucks a month. I have the camera mounted on my cargo trailer, and I always have eyes on my tools wherever my trailer is parked. Mobile alerts are fantastic you can adjust the parameters and sensors. Thanks to the attached solar panel the battery is always full even with our nasty Canadian Winters

I use it to monitor wildlife on my property…. Works great if the animal is fairly close…. I like that you can view and listen to remote area… The reason I gave it a 4 star is that when I tried to change to a third party antenna, the connector of the camera twisted and broke ….Reolink replaced the cam on warranty …
