Steamin’ Hot!
Very nice. Works very well in our travel trailer so we can save propane. The foid came up to a boil rather quickly, so keep an eye on it and it stays hot because the heating element is cast iron …pretty lightweight, considering the iron. The size is small enough for travel and cleans well. I would recommend it.

It won’t burn your food unlike other ones
I ended up having to buy a Mainstays coil burner hotplate too at Walmart too, because when frying things this hotplate does not get hot enough while the other one does, but this one is safe while cooking while the other one is not and will crust and burn food. Now I use both, this one for safe cooking, the other for frying. Both measure 930W on a wattmeter, but this one cuts off at a lower temperature, while the coil burner from Walmart has the coils visibly red hot, and cuts off not as a function of coil temperature, but what temperature it records inside the body of the unit somewhere. When I prepare rice, I like to fry it in a ton of oil until it gets pink-light brown, then drain most of the oil and pour water on it and boil it to make it swell up. This unit is unable to make it pink-brown, only white, while the Walmart coil burner is able. Also when frying, say bologna, in an egg-flour coating, this unit is only able to fry it white, it will not give it a nice crispy golden-brown look, while the Walmart Mainstays one will. This one is great for cooking not as much for deep frying. So I start out with the Walmart one, fry the rice, drain the oil, but for the water cooking part I switch to this one as it’s safe and won’t crust the starch on the bottom while cooking in water unlike the other one. Also my uncle had a ton of tomatoes in his garden and I got buckets and buckets full, and to preserve I cook them then freeze in plastic containers. On setting 4 out of 5 on the dial this one does not crust the tomatoes or just very slightly, while still giving a nice boiling simmer over 3-4 hours in a 20 quart pot with a glass lid, unlike any other burner or a gas stove. Tomatoes are notoriously hard to cook without crusting. I gave it 4 stars as it would be nice to get a higher temperature out of it, and just dial down the dial for a lower one. But I really like it, easy to clean, and I’m happy with it.

Great Little Electric Stove Top
Needed a stove top as our landlord refuses to fix our stove. I already have an air fryer that doubles as an oven. We just needed a stove top. We bought this one b/c of the reviews & the price. It was delivered today (June 10, 2024) so I can’t speak on the longevity of it but as far as its capabilities, well it’s great! We made spaghetti & meat sauce on it. We started by boiling water on the larger burner & cooking ground beef on the smaller one. The temperature is accurate, it heats up evenly & quickly. It’s small enough to fit on any counter & move wherever you need it. It looks great! It did give off that “new appliance smell” when we first fired it up, but it dissipated within 5 mins so not an issue at all. I’m in love with it. No surprise, but just in case you’re wondering, the casing does get hot, so be careful. Not extremely hot but hot enough to be mindful of. You probably won’t burn yourself if you accidentally touch the side but for an honest review, you must include everything.For people who need a stove top, it’s great. Especially if you don’t have a lot of room or need something portable. I seriously highly recommend this product, especially considering the price! Def worth it!PS…. if the durability is an issue, I’ll update my review. But so far, it seems strong enough & it’s def scratch RESISTANT.

I was worried because the red heat light turn off periodically, but I guess the burner heats up the element and then shuts off at a certain temperature and clicks on later when when the temp dropsCooks great, uses a standard wall outlet, perfect : ) used both burners at once, made some rice and steamed vegetables with no issues. I will warn that since these are cast iron elements, they stay hot for longer than those coiled iron elements, so you can’t really leave the pan on when you turn the burner off, it will probably dry the food on the pan. I love it, no issues. Slight plastic smell the first time you turn it on, probably had some oil on the elements to prevent rusting

Works but is very underpowered – boiling takes forever
I bought this to use while camping with a power bank that can support over 1000W, and it does work fine, but dang it’s slow. I wasn’t expecting it to take well over 20 minutes for a 2qt pot of water to boil. One key problem with it, is even on the highest setting it will cycle off/on before the water is even close to boiling point. This means it should be continuing to heat up but instead it’s really just wasting time. Not sure why this happens but after watching a few youtube videos it seems normal for this model. I was able to cook a few different full meals on it, albeit slowly. I’ve cooked red beans and rice, made breakfast including eggs, bacon, sausage, cooked a dinner which included beef and pasta. It does work but it’s very slow, and if you’re using this outside and there’s even a hint of wind, it will take much longer. If I was going to buy one of these type of units again I’d probably pay a bit more for an 1800W unit.

If you need to boil water to actually sanitize/disinfect water, go with something else. It’s got an element, but the wires used to connect it to the wall outlet are bottlenecking the energy transfer, so any decent amount of water in any reasonabley sized pot will never boil. If you felt like rewirijg it, it’s a matter of removing 1 compression nut from a threaded rod off the bottom and the entire thing flies open.

Llegó en excelentes condiciones, bien empaquetada, es una parrilla básica, apesar de ello es un buen producto, es barata, sí, pero esteticamente se ve bien, las placas de hierro fundido se sienten de buena calidad, es muy ligera, casi no pesa, cuando la utilice tardo como 5 minutos en calentarse, al nivel máximo calentó bastante, al apagarla tardo un poco más de media hora para enfriance, todo bien hasta el momento, veremos cómo funciona con el uso, por el precio me parece un buen producto.
