I will never not own one of these!
I use this air fryer/broiler/toaster/convection oven more than I do my microwave. One thing I always look for our turn knobs rather than digital because I think they last longer. This Appliance is a must have! From baking, to making french fries, broiling, fish, or chicken, using as extra oven space during holidays, to reheating, pizza, chicken, wings, or other things that do not farewell in a microwave….. this makes my life happier and healthier! I owned one of those air fryers that were plastic with the pullout little compartment; I used it once and gave it to my daughter. This is more powerful, faster, larger, and more versatile.

Almost perfect… design flaws
We had a previous model for 15 years or so then just purchased this one. It works well, reliably and am overall satisfied with this product. It is used daily for toasting and occassionally for warming leftovers. Two things I dislike are shown in the photo. First – the handle. It is too deep. It doesn’t allow for the front glass door to lay fully flat when opened. This means that when you pull out the rack to remove food, your plate cannot slide under it and be flat. Your plate has to go in on an angle which means you’re fighting to get food UP to the plate, rather than slide out easily and drop onto the plate. It annoys me every single day. The last model we had was not like this.Second – the dial. The line for the minutes is on the far-away part of the dial. It was difficult to get the exact ‘sweet spot’ for toasting. Thankfully, it was easy enough to modify by adding a mark with a sharpie on the dial at the unit so we can see the alignment much better. A very minor inconvenience, but this mark was on the old model. Not sure why these 2 items were changed on newer models. The engineers/designers who make these products should have to use them on the daily for all functions for several months prior to release. The design flaws mentioned would have been avoided.

Great size, acceptable quality
Once again, we had an older product from 20 years ago that was way better than this one and cost less with a push start button. We needed this one for the size to fit in a shelving unit. It’s good looking and has some good materials. The heat settings are indiscriminate. The lower levels dont seem to be accurate as we always end up turning it up very high.A few of the biggest drawbacks are:The turn knob will get overused. You have to dial past 20 and dial it back if you want it to ring when it’s done. All this twisting will weaken it. Also, there’s no heat protection from the top of the hot door when you go to grab the handle. It seems plenty of other models have protective strip there so as not to burn your fingers. That is probably the worst feature. The crumb pad isn’t as good as our previous model as it sits in the inside, is quite thin AND does not catch all the crumbs.Seems to me that lots of features are wrung out and pared down for cost and we never see that as a savings to the consumer. We just see it as a profit to the corporation and quite honestly a product that more than likely will not last as long despite twice the cost of the older model. It’s very disappointing. And honestly I’m tiring of seeing these games be played with products across the board. Also, the aluminum pan got rusty pin marks, and scratches the first time it went through the top rack of the dishwasher. Now, regardless of whether it should go in there or not, I would expect that I can. No one is realistically washing that pan by hand. And one last item, the door flings down beyond level with the machine (past 180°’s), so good luck, not burning yourself. )In summary: best qualities: look and size and under $100,worst: poorly thought design for the consumer and cheapness despite the cost, mesh tray is flimsy and could use a second tray to stack. We use this in lieu of a microwave.
