A perfect blender!
The Oster blender is wonderful! It’s everything they say it is. It’s not very noisy unless you are chopping up ice. The directions are easily understandable, the buttons are self-explanatory, and it has such a nice big glass pitcher for all purpose uses. I love the fact that everything except the motor can go in the dishwasher. I also love the fact if something does break down parts are available. I think it’s impressive that Oster uses a quality control check in the United States. Oster has been a brand that I was impressed with for many years, and that’s why I looked at these. Even though some of the parts are made in China, the quality check in the United States sold me.

Blender
This brand is the best, I had one for 25 years but I upgraded to this one, works great for anything you want to blend, even Ice.

Not as good as my old ones
The bottom has come off twice while blending. Make sure you tighten it each and every time before you blend.

Love This Brand
My old Oster blender finally gave out after many, many years of daily use. The new one works great and I expect it will probably last just as long. In my experience, Oster makes the best blenders. This is my favorite model because of the heavy duty glass jar and sturdy base. Many other types are made of plastic or burn out after a short time. You can also find inexpensive replacement parts online if needed. Great buy!

Not like prior models… I wish there was a negative star
I’ve used Oster for a very long time and had to replace my other one that I had had for almost 10 years this was supposedly the upgraded model. Like others have said in some other reviews strong smel when you use it and it does not function the way the original version did. The different speeds do not chop or do a smoothie very well at all. Sadly the return window closed.

Best, Most Reliable Household Blender I’ve Used
Full disclosure, I’ve not used industrial, super fancy, expensive blenders. But as standard household blenders go, this is definitely the best. I only recently bought this one to replace an older model of the same blender, which only started showing some age after I used it one to two times per day for over five years. I use it to grind up hard foods like almonds in smoothies all the time and it works great. Two things you want to keep in mind:1. You really need to completely disassemble the blade and glass assembly to wash it after every use (not just rinse the whole thing) to keep it working well for longer. It’s not that big of a deal and it makes a huge difference in its lifespan.2. When you need to replace the blade, which I’ve only had to do after 3 or 4 years of use, be sure to buy the Oster brand blade. I tried an off brand replacement and there was a noticeable difference, which likely put some extra wear and tear on the motor.
