Our Story
Hi I’m Carrie, Mum, Wife and creator of Dezitrek. My family and I are passionate about travel and especially our incredible great outdoors, nature and everything wonderful our amazing earth has to offer.
We love to get off the beaten track and venture into those out of the way places whom few get to experience. This self-sufficient, off grid style of travel lies right at the heart of our passion. We also get to raise our son with an awareness and appreciation of not only nature, but of the sustainable living that is possible through off grid camping by using sun generated energy and water saving methods. It was on one of our camping trips that gave rise to a need for a portable compact washing device that could wash our days clothes, use zero electricity and low volumes of water. Many challenges and triumphs later we’d pieced together our plunger wash bag.

Great product!
I love this Wringer! Wringing out my clothes manually is so hard on my wrists and hands. After doing my best manually, my clothes would still be very wet. This resulted in my clothes taking a very long time to dry on my clothesline. This product is a great solution for wringing out the excess water before hanging them to dry!In addition to saving my wrists and hands, the rods and loops enable me to wring my clothes out tighter than I could ever do it manually. Even though this seems to be primarily for camping, I use it for traveling too. It doesn’t take very much room in my carry on luggage. I can wash clothes, wring them out and hang them to dry quickly in my hotel room. It is a life saver to pack light for long trips as well as for camping!I have to admit, at first I was concerned about the quality of the materials since repeat wringing could potentially wear them out. The loops and rods enable me to REALLY crank my clothes tight and get out a lot of water! However, when it arrived, I was REALLY impressed with the durability and quality of this product. The picture shows how much they reinforced the stitching. I am very impressed with the quality! As a bonus, the loops are angled to easily fit the rods through, too. I am really impressed!! Highly recommend!

Quality materials but the size of the acrylic rods are too short and blue tarp is too narrow
Update September 2024: I have been using this every week for squeezing out water from clothing since buying June 2024. The acrylic rods are still OK but the blue tarp is starting to wear out. It has developed a rip/hole now. I wish there was way to buy a replacement tarp. In conclusion, the tarp will eventually wear out.I like the high quality of the products, especially the blue canvas tarp that is hardy to being twisted and squeezed. I had problems using the 2 acrylic rods and the blue canvas tarp because the rods were too short and the tarp too narrow and small. When I tried to wring the clothes today (one sweatshirt and one sweatpants), the items kept falling out of the tarp since it was too narrow to keep the tarp closed enough to prevent my 2 items from spilling out in the middle. In addition, the rods were too short, they kept slipping out from under my feet. I wish this company, Dezitrek, would have offered a larger size (double the blue tarp size and longer acrylic rods), which would have been perfect. In addition, it would be great to have 4 neoprene sleeves for the rods along with them being longer. The sleeves kept sliding off as well so the longer size would have been very helpful. Until the improvements are made, I am giving the rating of only 3 stars

very compact, great build quality, works fine, not especially convenient or efficient
It works really well, but I’ve only used it a few times because I generally have quick-dry material clothing and this tool is a little inconvenient for my particular situation. The build quality is fantastic, which is basically about the thick strong towel fabric and very strong seams. I would expect to get a long life from this. I’m very happy I have this inexpensive tool on hand for occasional use, as it’s very compact and barely takes up any space in my car to have handy, and I also have the Dezitrek plunger washing bag, which is an amazing genius perfect product.

Not Really Worth It
I really wanted to leave a positive review, but this product is not worth the money or effort it takes to use it. If you have trouble with strength in your hands and need to wring out items, this may be for you. For everyone else, just wring your clothes out with your hands and be done with it.

Works perfect
I had 2 buckets of laundry. Some were pretty thick. All were denim. Some had buttons. It only took two fills. I wrung each out several times. At first, I started it wrong until I saw it was coming apart. Both sides need to twist in the opposite direction. I was thinking that would make the clothes come out. Not thinking about what I was doing. I was thinking I wanted to twist where it closed. Silly me. If your clothes are falling out that’s probably why. It is pretty fast. It makes quick work of a lot of clothes in a very short time.

Not too impressed
I got this mainly to help me wring out my jeans. My washer broke recently and I’m not made of money, and the laundry mat is too expensive when you are trying to save. So it’s hand washing for me. I can wring out the water from my shirts and personals well enough but any pants and my jeans are very difficult to handle alone. So in my hunt for a solution, I came across this and thought I would give it a try.My first test was some shirts and a few delicates, I had wrung out the water as best as I could on my own and put this to the test. Water did come out, but not as much as I had hoped would. But even a little bit helps cut down on my drying time I guess.Second test was with one pair of jeans. This towel is fairly small and I’m not sure if trying to fit more pairs of jeans would have been good or not. First I wrung it out as best as I could, and then I hung it up to drip for about 40 minutes or so before using the wringer. Despite twisting it up pretty tightly, hardly any water came out and my pants didn’t feel any more dry than before. But they were insanely wrinkled for my troubles and if I wasn’t going to finish them off in my dryer, I would now also have to iron those out.Honestly if you live in the desert like I do, I don’t think this is really necessary. Letting my jeans drip dry for an hour or so in my shower before putting them outside, even at night, allows them to dry to 90% in a few hours or less just because it’s so hot and dry outside. Not to mention this is really hard to stand on if you don’t have shoes on. I live in an apartment with a small balcony so I have to stand in my shower to wring out my items. So not very comfortable to use.Maybe if you live somewhere with a high humidity point, or doesn’t get into the 90s – 100s on the daily this might be good. But personally for me, the effort and potential wrinkles in your fabrics, outweighs the benefits.

I was travelling for 8 months in 2024 and needed a minimalist solution for laundry. The Dezitrek original ultra light clothes wringer took up little space and worked like a charm to get my clothes dry quicker than just wringing by hand.
