It works amazingly well!
We bought this after testing an induction cooktop at a friend’s house and let me tell you, this does not disappoint! We have absolutely loved this product. The temperature is exact and helps keep your food at just the right heat. It heats very quickly and I am so impressed with how fast I can boil a pot of water! It takes a minute to boil water instead of your normal 3-5 minutes on a ceramic of electric stove. It’s even faster than a gas stove (which has been my preference after taking a culinary class).The size is perfect for a large Dutch oven or a 12″ pan. We took it camping with us and oh my goodness! It completely changed how I will camp in the future. Making meals was a breeze and I loved being able to pull it out and cook so many different things anywhere. I will say that cooking outside with a breeze does make it loose heat quickly, but when using it inside we don’t have this problem.The base is very stable. I used it on a normal countertop and also on outside picnic tables as well as on top of a plastic tote and it always felt great. It doesn’t move or shift but stays put. I love that the bottom does not get hot so you can use it on many surfaces.When you turn it on, you can hear a distinct fan noise, but it isn’t loud or overbearing. It’s noticable but not distracting. I don’t mind it at all.Clean up is a breeze and wipes down really well. Even butter and grease splashes wipe down pretty easily.Overall I am very pleased with this product and I would 10/10 recommend it.

This cooktop is easy to use. It heats up very quickly. It turns on @ 375 degrees.It cooked/ browned stew meat, sausage patties, etc rapidly.It is well worth the price.I am very happy I bought this Induction cooktop!

This little unit has super even cooking. I fried breaded chicken and the even heat gave superb results. It makes a rather strange noise, not loud just strange mechanical sound that is easy to tune out while cooking. Very happy with results and easy to clean.

This is my second NuWave. The other is years old and still going strong. I’ve decided to “go electric” this winter. I have a gas stove and that means running the vent above it anytime I want to cook. And THAT means sucking warm air out of the house….and then, having to replace it. Seems stupid. So, as I said, I’ll go electric all Winter. No fumes, no fans, no wasted warm air.These NuWaves work great. Give it a try. At first the digital pad may look confusing, but not for long. I’m nuts about this product. I just made an enormous stove-top Pot Roast using this in a large “Larder and Vine” oval cast iron Dutch oven (another great product BTW). Came out great. Love the timer! And there seems to be NO limit on that timer. And that’s important for something like a Pot Roast that needs to cook for 5 or 6 hours!So instead of running the vent for the gas cook top and shunting heat out the roof, this added heat to the house. This is a no-brainer for winter cooking or ANY time you need another “burner” for entertaining or whenever. BTW, works great in the RV because you can control the amount of electricity being used. I run it off of a Jackery generator there and the two have worked great together.NuWave has maintained the quality and I hope this one holds up for many years. Great Warranty and VG temp controls.
I just receieved this cooktop and yes it works very good for the first day. It is large and it works well with my 11 inch saute pan. It seems as if it heats the pan evenly but what i like most is that you can control the temperature. This is great if you are starting out on a cooking pilgrimage because temperature control is where most cooks fail – butter burns, oils burn and become rancid etc. . . .. . So far so good and they give you an extra 4 years of warranty on this product for a total of 5 year warranty – not bad.

This appliance is amazing!
I just purchased this PIC Gold (it is my 2nd one). It is absolutely amazing! I have used my first one for several years now and am totally addicted to it. I very seldom use my stove top anymore. This PIC Gold cooks much faster than my new stove. There is not a big mess to clean up on my glass top range. Just wipe the PIC with a damp cloth and I’m done! So for Christmas I asked for another one! You will not be disappointed when you buy one of these. My home is equipped with several NuWave appliances and a wonderful air purifier and love them all. Thank you, NuWave for your awesome products!

Excellent product
This is the second Nuwave PIC that we have owned. The first one was bought to be used during hurricane season in Florida about nine years ago. It replaced my stove for every day cooking. Just lately we were having problems with the searing and start buttons. So we decided to buy a new and improved PIC because of its portability, safety and energy efficiency. This is definitely a 5-star product.

The voltage required by the cooktop only works in specific regions of the world (it can only take a maximum of 144V). I had to return mine since my country has a line voltage of 230V.

I have used it a few times now. It works well, the fan is quieter than the one I had before ( a model from another brand, about 75% cheaper). I hate the sound of a fan but I am not aware of a model that does not have one. It stops as soon as you stop cooking ( the fan kept running a few minutes with my previous model).For low power ( simmer), the device sends the heat with ON / OFF cycles (you can hear very very subtle clicks) but the cycles are very fast and the heat is very stable on your plate . My previous device had a cycle of 10 sec and it was impossible to do any low heat cooking or to keep your plate warm. This part is great and it opens the door to more types of usage. I used my previous model only to get something boiling very fast since at low power, with those long cycles, it was not really usable.The model is a little bulky, large diameter and thick. I knew from the measurements but still it is not a small thing. The buttons are real push buttons (they are not touch buttons as it was said in a comparison table that I saw on Amazon — these tables are full of mistakes very often). So, the buttons are push type (a little membrane, waterproof, that pops down when you press it). Frankly, they dont seem like they will last many years.Overall, so far I like it. Not perfect but a huge step above my previous model. The stability (not necessarily the precision) of the temperature is true and this is an important factor. In other words it holds very well its temperature but if it says 200, it just means warmer than 190 and that’s fine with me.
