Broken in 3 weeks. Useless. Returned. But, otherwise a great boat anchor.
Broken drive shaft after only 3 weeks. I made 18 smoothies, then there was a horrible screeching noise and the blades were barely moving. The drive shaft broke. The spline that connects the motor to the jar was floppy and raised up so the jar wouldn’t sit in position. I returned it to Amazon… with some hassle. The UPS store refused to accept it without the out brown cardboard shipping box. They said Amazon wouldn’t accept it if shipped in the retail box. I had to go home and get an old cardboard box large enough to hold the retail box and take it to the UPS store where the clerk helped me package the retail box inside. If you buy one of these, keep all the boxes. Other than dying a horrible screeching death and leaving my smoothing unblended, this was a great blender; and everything I had hoped for. It was powerful, until it died. The smoothie cycle is 35 seconds and in that short time it made my greens, flax and chia seeds and frozen fruit very smooth. It exceeded my expectations until it died. The jar seems sturdy and well designed. One review said it lacks a pour spout, not true. It’s not the best pour spout but it worked well enough to pour my smoothie directly into a small mouthed standard water bottle. The handle is sturdy and when I put my hand into it, my fingers engaged into a groove in the side of the jar, making my grip more secure. Excellent design. The sound reduction cover is good. It reduced the sound by 4 decibels, which is significant. It still makes noise, but it doesn’t wake up my wife in the bedroom like our previous blender. I’m such a sucker that I just ordered another of these. This time I bought the 4 year assurion extended warranty. The warranty, at 33 bucks cost 1/4 as much as a the blender. But, after my first experience with this blender screeching and crashing, It’s nice to know that if the replacement fails I’ll get a hundred bucks back to apply to a real blender like a vitamix. I hope I don’t remain disppointed in Nuwave.

Direct Competitor to Vitamix
This is an extremely commercial grade blender apparently designed to give Vitamix a run for its money. While I am impressed with some of the features of this machine (especially the extremely powerful motor and powerful blending action) I am less impressed with some of the build quality which is not in line with the nearly $600 price. The unit is large and has a sound reducing enclosure around the top of the base. Not an issue in a bar or restaurant but this may make the unit difficult to store in a cabinet. There aren’t many accessories–a rubber paddle with a long handle and a pusher tube. The container is probably lexan and has a rubber top with the traditional removable center so liquids can safely be added while blending. The top is tight fitting but relies upon friction to stay in place. The blending container has permanently affixed blades at the bottom– you cannot open the bottom of the container to thoroughly access and clean, a disadvantage. The handle on the blending container is molded to the container but is hollow and feels a bit cheap for a blender like this. The controls are simple, include a couple of pulse options and infinitely variable control of the speed.A permanently affixed sound reducing plexi enclosure is brought down with a lever to enclose the container when blending and during storage. It definitely reduces the noise somewhat but what really reduces the noise is the powerful motor and blending action it produces. This may be just as loud as a typical blender (or slightly quieter) but you will not have to run it nearly as long. It makes quick work of frozen fruit and other items that many blenders struggle with.I don’t think this is quite Vitamix but it is a really good blender. You just have to consider the price.

Great blender
Best blender I ever purchased
My product came damaged!! And it’s non returnable. Not happy the moment. –
Horrible design for coffee shop
There is not really a spout. So when you pour say a frappé……it dumps out the sides missing the cup. Regret this purchase. Only thing I like is the settings.

It really is that good
If you are considering this model, know that it is a large machine. Measure your counter before purchase and make sure you have at least 19 inches between the countertop and bottom edge of an upper cabinet if you are placing it there. If you have under cabinet lighting, the same applies. Be sure to have at least 19 inches from the surface to the lowest upper cabinet point. Now let’s talk about performance. After two dozen runs with this from smoothies to soups, one word comes to mind…stunning. I thought I had a very good blender before, but this is really that remarkable. A strawberry peach smoothie was so well blended that there weren’t even any tiny strawberry seeds in the mix. They had been completely obliterated by these blades. In the video we made a gazpacho with fresh garden tomatoes and basil among other ingredients. Our intent was a cold soup but running this for the full three minutes on the soup setting produced a rather hot soup. The friction generated during that run time actually heated this up. I could go on with the different things we tried, but I will just reiterate that the performance across the spectrum was stunning.I really did not want to like this with the eye watering price tag of a few cents below six hundred dollars at the time of review. How could it be six times better than my current blender? I’m now a believer that this is indeed possible. If you are looking for a forever blender and are considering this price range, you must put this on your consideration list. Should you choose this, you will not be disappointed.
