Helpful for making 4 cups of barley
It is pretty easy to set up. Unwrap all the pieces. Wash the lid and insert. Remove the cap off of the plug. Plug it in. Turn it to the setting you need. I was cooking on low. I set the timer for the max time. I ended up adding 2 hours to it to keep cooking the barley. This is a lovely size. The first use was to make 4 cups of barley. For a family member we have to cup 4 cups of barley at least once a week if not more. I like the rectangular size. After washing the barley, I added in the 16 cups of water needed to cook the 4 cups of barley. It held all of it easily. There were no issues. After it had been cooking for 3-4 hours I did need to use a hot pad/oven mitt/trivet to pick up the lid as the handle was quite hot to touch. Before that point it was easy and not a problem to handle with my bare hands. While this is not something everyone will like I find it SUPER helpful to have an auditory reminder that I am cooking something. When you turn the this on there is the gentle ticking sound with the cooking time that is comparable to a toaster over when something is cooking. It has been very helpful to remind me to go and stir the pot of barley. It is taking about the same time as it normally takes for me to cook the barley in this.I like that shape of the cooking container because it is rectangular and out other is a bit shaped like an ice cream cone. It is nice for everything to be evened out to cook in this.Looking forward to making some soup stock with this from scratch!Overall, I would order this again.

My favorite slow-cooker
This is the best slow cooker in my cabinet!. I love how lightweight the pot is, and the handles for it are so helpful and efficient. The non-stick coating is phenomenal; if I don’t use a bag, I usually have to let my other slow-cooker pots soak before washing, and then there is still some scrubbing. The pot sits a little elevated in the cooker, and I feel this keeps edges from getting too done or burning. Hot is very hot; I got more bubbling in this cooker than my other cookers do. At first I thought the timer button felt terrible, but then I realized, it’s like a real timer– you hear the faint ticking of it running down the time. The lid is super easy to handle, especially with the large handle it has on it. It is just a superb cooker. Lightweight non-stick pot; this thing is so easy to handle. Good handles on the pot and the lid. Easy to use. Love the timer so I don’t have to babysit. Also the cooker portion doesn’t get as hot on the outside as most crockpots. It’s a different kind of slow-cooker; but it is now my favorite.

Seems overpriced to me
“This review is for AUTUCU N61NA 7 Quart Slow Cooker | 3 Heat Settings, PFOA-Free Nonstick Pot, Dishwasher Safe Slow Cooker Removable, Perfect for Large Families, Entertaining, Entrees, Sauces & StewsAUTUCU N61NA 7 Quart Slow Cooker | 3 Heat Settings, PFOA-Free Nonstick Pot, Dishwasher Safe Slow Cooker Removable, Perfect for Large Families, Entertaining, Entrees, Sauces & StewsIt seems kind of funny to me that high temp is labeled as HIGHT (that totally wasn’t a typo they tried to make work, right?!?), but this doesn’t scream quality to me. The lid and pan are fairly thin, but I guess it’s nice that you can pull the pan out? I wouldn’t trust this in an oven or anything and I don’t expect the nonstick coating to last very long. I would have preferred a ceramic coating instead.NOTE: As an Amazon Vine reviewer, I receive this product without paying for it directly; however, I have to claim the full value of this product on my taxes as this counts as a taxable gift and I must pay taxes for the taxable value of this item.”

Expensive
This is a slow cooker with removable pan thats oven safe. It’s lightweight and has a small footprint with large cooking capacity. It comes with instructions that don’t really say anything so everything is trial and error. Most slow cookers come with a small cookbook to give you a sense of how to use it to its best ability but this one doesn’t. I has three temp settings warm, low and Hight (their spelling not my typo). Warm is about 160 degrees, low is about 239 degrees and Hight is 350 degrees. To try it out I cooked some Chicken thighs at Low for 90 minutes and when I checked them they were at 203 degrees. Well done but still juicy. Clean up is easy. The down side is its expensive for an unknown brand and one good thing is the pan can go in the oven to crisp things up.

can also use to brown food in the oven
This is a huge slow cooker. My old one finally died and I was looking specifically for one to feed larger groups because we tend to host a lot of weekend guests. I like to make an evening meal that people can go in and serve themselves as they come and go so a slow cooker is my go-to.The pot itself is safe to go in the dishwasher which I definitely appreciate. I do use the liners in these but they always tend to still get dirty around the edges. The best feature of all though is new to me – I can take it out of the heating element and put it in the oven when I want to brown the crust. I’ve never had that before so that is definitely cool to have.

Great slow cooker
This is a really nice, good quality slow cooker. I made a nice stew a day after receiving it and it turned out really well. Looking forward to trying it for future one-pot meals. I ordered a slow-cooker in anticipation of days when I know I’ll be home late but can plan dinner ahead.

Rectangle, slow cook
Slow cooker on the counter without taking too much room. One has warm and high heat while the other dial is a timer that can go up to 180 minutes. The pot is fairly large being able to cook a small meal to a large family size meal. The lids stays securely on place. The nonstick coating to the pan made it easy to clean out. This is a very well-made so at a great price. Cooked the food evenly and well.
