No more batteries!
It took me about an hour to install. Closest outlet was above the garage opener, so once I plugged in, I used all twenty five feet of wire that came with the power adapter. MyQ supplies plenty of cable clips that you hammer in to keep the wire as neat as possible as you extend it from the outlet to the keypad. That took the most time. The other time consuming step is installing the swivel mount (which is awesome) and threading the wires through the mount, and screwing the two clips into the black rear cover, which serves as the connection to supply power to the keypad. Definitely a must buy, I only wish they gave a little more than twenty-five feet with the power adapter, maybe thirty or thirty-five feet would help.

AC Power Adapter for myQ Video Keypad Very Necessary Accessory Since Battery Can Discharge Quickly
The Video Keypad was easy to install since the screw holes were the same size and spacing as the original garage door keypad. I ran the 25’ AC cord from the new keypad up and across the garage ceiling to the AC plug by the garage door opener using a staple gun to hold to the ceiling. Just make sure to run the software setup using the charged battery before inserting into keypad holder on 120 VAC. Worked quite smoothly. After that you can rotate the video keypad for the right viewing angle.

This is the way.
This is definitely the way to go. Easy to install: just drill a hole to inside the wall behind the keypad and through the drywall inside the garage. Run the cable to an outlet in your garage and you’re good to go. They provide some clips that allow you to run the cable in a straight line, which is nice. It’s very nice knowing I won’t have to take the keypad off to charge it anymore.

Does the job, could be better…
Not a huge fan of Liftmaster’s MyQ software and features. But this piece of hardware works.Just like another reviewer the adjustable bracket is nice but also leaves the wire pretty exposed. Granted, if you have someone cut your keypad wire you have more severe issues. But still not great. At least a white rubber tube or something would be nice to have here.May follow the other person’s adjust and use the original angled bracket. The swivel mount does permit for a view of the full driveway which is nice. The wire is also long enough to run along the garage door frame with the sensor wires. That’s a win.Only makes sense to get this. The battery esp. In the winter is a tough sell.

Essential for MyQ keypad
Great addition to the MyQ keypad!! We installed the new keypad with this mount, and there was plenty of wire to run the plug back to plug in next to the garage door opener. I live that I don’t have to change/charge batteries in the keypad. The design allowed us to swivel the camera to an ideal viewing position so I can see the garage door and my front porch at the same time. I don’t think I would want the MyQ keypad without this.

Works good
I’ve been swapping batteries for a year now and it got old fast this wasn’t around back then but works really well and the wire is long enough to reach the opener plug too

Perfect
Exactly what was needed. The unit seems to be working much better on constant power. Much more responsive. Easy install
