A great upgrade
After using the Ninja multicooker for a while, which was also great, I decided to make the switch to the Midea Flexify French Door Toaster Oven Air Fryer Combo. My main reason for the change was the reheat function, which the Midea offers, and I’m really glad I gave it a try! So far, it’s been an excellent choice. The 26.4 QT capacity is large enough to handle bigger meals, and the French door design is both functional and stylish. The air fryer feature works like a charm, making foods crispy with little to no oil—perfect for healthy cooking. I’m also loving the reheat function, which has been a real time-saver. It heats up leftovers evenly, preserving texture and taste. The unit is versatile, offering various cooking functions like baking, broiling, and toasting, making it a great all-in-one appliance. Cleanup is easy, and the unit doesn’t take up too much space on my countertop. So far, I’m really impressed and happy with my decision!

The BEST!
After much research, I decided on this Midea Flexify Toaster Oven Air Fryer, and BOY am I glad I did! This thing is awesome. The build quality is first rate and it couldn’t be easier to use. Makes better toast than my expensive slot toaster and the air fry function is just great. It makes so much more sense to have the air fryer/convection fan at the top of the oven rather than at the side or the back of the oven. The air blows down on all of the food evenly rather than from just one side which can cause food to not brown evenly. Additionally, it is easy to clean. I do agree with some criticism that the instructions are lacking in detail, and there are no recipes to try out, but the oven is so easy to use that the minimal user manual was ok for my needs. There are many You Tube videos that give you a lot of information if you need it. I also bought Cathy Yoder’s Air Fryer cookbook, and it is packed with information. You won’t be disappointed!

WOW – better than expected.
I seriously cannot believe that I was able to bake a full sized loaf of bread using my cast iron bread loaf pan (AND I realize now that I can fit TWO cast iron loaf pans comfortably if I want to) – it came out perfect. I tried the convection mode and foil for the last 10 minutes (but i had to do foil in my regular oven anyway). I will invest in a Dutch oven with a cover (I’ve been meaning to buy one anyway) – then I won’t need the foil at all anymore. Cookies came out GREAT no burnt bottoms – crispy and chewy and PERFECT. The french doors are an aesthetic bonus, and they are functional – they both open at the same time, which is nice. The unit is sturdy/built well and nice looking and has a THREE PRONG plug – which for safety reasons I passed on another popular brand with very similar features (and slightly roomier) with French doors – the two prong plug was a NO for me, regardless of the extra space. Anyway, it is a GREAT toaster oven, the knob and buttons are very distinct and easy to use (not like the electronic “pads” some toaster ovens have) – which I don’t like too much, while at the same time, offering most of the same up to date features. I don’t understand the criticisms regarding the knob and buttons not being “intuitive” (it does not operate via AI??? – they are simple, straightforward, and easy to use – honestly) I am very picky, and I love this toaster oven for the purposes I need it – and it looks elegant on my kitchen counter with a small footprint for what it handles. It was a great buy:) More than satisfied on this end:)

Beautiful and convenient
Love love love it! It’s HUGE. The watermelon gives you an idea lol. It cooks everything evenly and quickly. The tray has discolored quickly though. Other than that, I love it. I use it daily. I havent had to turn my oven on in weeks. It’s beautiful. Only downside is the buttons/diles do get a bit hot but I haven’t burnt myself on them.

Great appliance, one caution.
I’m loving this so far. I’ve e used all of the functions and they all work well.. The air fryer is great, better than my old air fryer and that was pretty good. It looks great on the counter and is easy to use. Once you figure it out When baking cookies and biscuits I did notice the cooking is a bit uneven (seems to get hotter in the back of the oven) but that’s true of many ovens. My one caution however, is you need to very careful if you pull the oven rack partially out to remove your food. There is no “guard” on the rack so if it goes beyond a certain point the whole rack, along with anything on it, falls out of the oven. I’m working on remembering to remove the food itself as opposed to sliding the rack out. If your instinct is to catch it (mine is) chances is you’ll get burned. If anyone has any input re this please share. Other than that I’m pleased with this purchase.

I like it (Updated 1/2025 with picture)
Most importantly the way the doors open – from the center – is a great safety feature. It does heat up very fast. The three rack levels are a big plus. The convection absolutely does work, so watch your food when using that feature, it cooks quickly. I think overall it gets hotter than the temperature indicates, but the toasting takes pretty long (like all of these ovens). Also it is easy to clean because it is taller than most. – – – – – – – – – UPDATE Jan 1, 2025. I baked a half-size baguette for 17 minutes at 450 degrees and it came out very good, browned evenly. I think maybe that after a 5-minute pre-heat and then baking at 450 that the temperature was higher, at any rate it is easy to watch being on the counter and a light. I never believed the reviews of this type of oven where they say they baked bread with success. It worked here. (picture)

Toaster oven is not as specified, stainless steel inside finish but it isn’t, it’s galvanized steel.

in this day and age technology should not be so complicated. turn knob push button turn knob, push button t5urn knob push button. I have an older convection toaster oven, you press the function button it auto defaults to set temp and time 30 minutes then you press start. And by the way there is no buzzer at thf end of cook time
