Foolproof Bread
I’ve been buying this bread mix for quite a while for use in my bread machine. It’s the same price, with subscribe and save, as a loaf of bread from the store but so much fresher. I originally bought it based on ease of use and convenience, who doesn’t love fresh bread?The other day I found out it’s actually foolproof. I started a loaf in my bread machine and for some unknown reason the power went out on just the bread machine. I decided to plug it in to another socket and start over even though the bread dough was already mixed and gone through a rising cycle. It had actually risen to the top of the pan and I had no hope of getting a good loaf. I was more interested in testing the bread machine to make sure it wasn’t the problem.Turns out the bread dough was still good. Even with starting from the beginning it didn’t turn out doughy or tough. It actually produced an excellent loaf. I had no idea how long it sat but was pleasantly surprised that it worked out. I highly recommend this mix for ease of use, convenience and the fact that you can’t screw it up even when the bread machine inexplicably turns off mid cycle.

Very tasty
It is not as sweet as what you buy in the store, but for me that is a plus as I don’t like things overly sweet. However, I use it in my bread machine and follow all instructions but it does not make a full 1.5 or 2.0lb loaf. Seems to only want to make a 1lb. But thats ok. It tastes great and I eat it regardless. lol.Enjoy.

Good but prep is too long.
Because I was wanting an add-water-only bread mix (this mix also included a packet of yeast) because I can’t stand on my feet too long, I didn’t realize that the bread had to rise 1 hr after adding water and yeast and then add 4 tbps of flour, unstick the dough from the bowl and wait another 40′ before putting in the oven. Even though this part didn’t require standing on my feet, I still didn’t like having to do that. Otherwise I would have given this product 5*.

DELICIOUS Hawaiian Bread
My family LOVES the Hawaiian Rolls I bought in the store (which does not have the bread machine mix). However, AMAZON does (as usual, I ALWAYS find everything at Amazon at competitive or better prices). I buy the box of 12 (best deal). My family LOVES this bread, so easy to make in bread machine (just put in room temperature water, add mix then add yeast). Program the machine and just wait for the DELICIOUS bread aroma to fill the house. Great with or without butter! Thanks again, Amazon.

Get creative
I use this bread mix to make French toast and other treats. My bread machine has a pause feature, which allows you to add ingredients before the final mix cycle. I add chopped dried fruit (blueberries , apricots, currents, dates, etc), and it comes out very nice. You can also make seasonal desserts using the mix.

It’s good.
The first time I made it, I followed the instructions. The bread was too flat and looked more like a ciabatta . I decreased the water to 1 cup the next time and the bread was wonderful. The bread has a nice sweetness and a good chew.
