Simple, effective brewer
I am going to assume any buyer will brew the coffee he or she likes, like I did. I am happy to say the coffee turned out great. If you buy the 28 oz unit, check the owner’s manual for the amounts of coffee and water to use. The manual sent to me included only amounts for the 38 oz unit. I did a little math and found one should use only 60 per cent of the beans and water listed for the 28 oz unit. This worked perfectly. I registered my product purchase today on KitchenAid.com and was able to download an updated manual. This new manual called for an additional 50 gms of coffee over what I used. The 200 gms of coffee I used with the lesser amount of water was perfect as far as how full the container was.

Will Pay For Itself In 1-2 Months
Honestly bro, to say that we are coffee people would be an understatement. For the longest time though, we thought there was no better cold brew than the one from our local coffee shop – boy were we wrong. We’d tried several other cold brew coffee “makers” and the all had issues that significantly affected the taste of the coffee they produced, so we eventually went back to our rather expensive habit.A few weeks ago, we saw an ad for this KitchenAid cold brew coffee maker and decided to get back into the fray of at-home coffee making. Right off the bat, this cold brew coffee maker is sturdy and well-built – at least on the outside. The glass is quite heavy duty so it can withstand the occasional bump, and the brushed stainless steel details make it really nice to look at. But, where this baby really shines is in the product that results. What you really pay for when you buy cold brew coffee makers like this one is the coffee filter itself. The better the quality of the “mesh,” the better tasting your coffee will be. With previous items, we’ve had to add an additional filtration step using cheesecloth to get some of the grinds out of the coffee, but with this KitchenAid, the holes in the metal coffee filter are so small, that very little filters out into the actual coffee liquid. The result is, in our opinion, some of the best cold brew coffee outside of any coffee shop.Sure, the price tag is a little high (we got ours when it was on sale, so it cost around $90), but with a 28oz carafe, this is enough quality coffee to replace 6 coffees from the coffee shop each week. If you do the math, you’re saving $25-30 bucks a week and can make about 6 weeks worth of coffee from a single bag of ground coffee, so this baby really can pay for itself in 1-2 months. The biggest drawbacks, and they are minimal, would be that for us, the 28oz version is a little small (but the 48oz version was over $150 and we couldn’t justify spending that much), in addition, the mesh filter itself is quite delicate, so you have to be very careful when washing, drying, and storing it.Overall though, again for us, this has so far been worth the price. We are starting week 3 today and so far, have really enjoyed the flavor of the coffee our KitchenAid makes, the look of the item itself, and the fact that we haven’t gone out for coffee for two weeks.

Works great!
Super easy to use and even easier to clean.Only dislike is that the instructions are unnecessarily difficult to follow lolBut once I figured out the correct amount to use when brewing, it was easy enough.Definitely worth it.I was hesitant over the price, BUT it’s extremely good quality. Thick glass, easy to wash, and looks great in the fridge.Easy to quickly fill a cup in the go with the spout on the front. This is one purchase that I am extremely happy with and glad I spent the money to get a good quality one.

Makes coffee a breeze!
My husband and I were spending way too much on coffee. We began making it at home, but found it to be tedious. We’re coffee snobs, so folgers in a Mr. Coffee machine just won’t do it for us. We wanted ease, convenience and to have coffee just *ready*. I started looking for cold brew makers because we both love the smoothness of it and figured it would be a nice, refreshing way to start off those hot days we have in Florida.I saw this immediately and knew it was the one. We chose the bigger option so we can make it once a week and have coffee on the ready every day. When it arrived I was in heaven. It took some time to perfect, but we have it down to a science now and it’s one of the best uses of fridge space ever. Some notes:You really have to get the concentrate/water ratio right. It will vary by coffee and preference. We don’t do 50/50, more like 70/30 and then whatever cream, half and half, whatever we would normally use. It’s just so nice and convenient and we have not bought coffee from a shop since getting this. Highly Recommend!

so easy to use
Its so simple to use, a cinch to clean, and stores easily in the fridge. I appreciate that its mostly made of glass and has a metal spout to effortlessly dispense the brew. This brewer allows me to control the strength of my concentrate depending on how long I leave it in the steeper. I have the smaller version, but I upgraded to get me through the week and also to share. The only thing about this product is that I wish they still had the stand available.

I got this to replace my wife’s OXO cold brew maker. I find this one very easy to clean, fits in the fridge, and has easy ratios. Feels like it is good quality. She is very happy with it.

We just purchased this product, it was fantastic for the first 30 min after the brew, then it leaked all over our fridge. Awesome. Checking the reviews a little more thoroughly we discovered a trend of these with a same issue. The coffee was great before the leak do 5 stars if you get one that works.
