Powerful suction, great for dog hair, hard floors, and carpets
My old cheep vacuum died six months after I got my dog and I needed something that could handle the pet hair and also the dust and dander, so much dust! This has been great. I love having a filter and bag rather than a bagless vacuum, and I’m still on the first bag, it doesn’t ever seem to fill up. It’s quite a nice change of pace.It is heavier than I realized it would be, but not too difficult to maneuver, once you start to get the hang of it. I do like the very long cord, but the retractable button is kind of weak, and it sometimes needs coaxing to wind back up. when the wand is on carpet mode it is very powerful, I sometimes feel like I’m fighting it for control, but the suction power does do an excellent job of cleaning so I guess I’ll just have to get stronger arms.

Great Kenmore Bagged VAC – Pop and Go
I’ve always had a Kenmore bagged vacuum. Long cords, easy to find bags and great attachments. This one was way more expensive than the one I purchased in 2016 but the 2016 model got left behind in Florida when we moved over the summer in 2024. It’s heavier than expected but the wheels move easily. Yes, the cover/lid over the attachments is thin – but with care it will last. They’re making everything thinner & smaller now anyway. Treat it nice, replace the HEPA filter, clean out the brushes & wheels and it will stay in good operational condition.

Good vacuum, but has a functional flaw
I bought this essentialy same vacuum cleaner from Sears, and it lasted me a good 20 years and I really liked it. So when I saw this newer version, I hopped right up and bought it, and have been satisfied with it for four years. Unfortunately, there is a fatal flaw in the design. The wire that connects the handle to the unit, which runs through the hose, breaks from being bent and twisted in the normal course of use. That stops the vacuum cleaner dead. I’m still looking for a new hose, but I may not be able to find one.But as long as that wire lasts, this is a great vacuum cleaner. They just don’t make them like they used to.

Defective
First let me say I have been a 50 yr supporter of Kennmore products as has been my family. So, when my previous kennmore canister vacuum expired after several years of rugged use (teenagers & dog), it was a no brainer for me to replace with another one of the same type. It arrived swiftly and was gladly received with enthusiasm to get to work. Functioned terrifically….hardwood floors, area carpets, great suction and power for pet hair. Very pleased. But then…after only one months use, the hose detached/seperated from the canister in a way it wasn’t designed to. I attempted to reassemble. Plugged it and turned on. Sparks flew like crazy. Scary! Amazon was great about returning it and sending a replacement. Two months later, exact same thing happened to the replacement. My husband attempted to gently reassemble and once again, sparks flew like crazy. Dangerous to say the least!!! Came back to my transaction account on Amazon to see what the next step might be. Apparently Amazon only makes good on one return. After that, I was directed to the manufacturer…Kennmore. At this point, they are not sending a replacement. They are going to send me a new part. However the part is out of stock and on back order. Actually, the part they are sending goes to another model, I was told but it’s the same for both models but might be a different color. May be on back order for one month and if not received by then, call them back. In the meantime, my house is full of pet hair from my large Labrador shedding his winter coat. I asked about just having a whole replacement instead but according to what I was told, the whole vacuum is also on back order. I have to wait for the part and if it doesn’t come, then they will decide how to handle it next. Really, this is a huge issue for me. I can’t give the vacuum itself a good review since both of them broke in the same way. There must be a weakness or defect in the product. I also can’t say Kennmore has been good to work with either.4/28/24 I just came back on here to check if there were any follow-up comments by either Amazon or Kenmore as I sometimes see when I read a review that gives a low rating. No comments, but I decided to read some of the other poor reviews while I was on the site. I wish I would have read them first!! I am having the exact same problems….the hose connection, the burning and sparks. I never read the reviews, because as I initally wrote, I have been a Kenmore product user for at least 50 yrs and my family before that even….( washers, dryers, stoves, refrig, freezer – actually have a 43 yr old Kenmore chest freezer in my basement working beautifully, vacuums and probably other things too). So, I figured it was a no brainer, no need to read the reviews. What a mistake.5/30/24So the new hose/part arrived about a week ago, maybe a week and a half. Due to illness I didn’t get to try it out right away. Able to get to business today. Surprise, surprise….the new part does NOT work. Looks just like the part that failed. Although the representative did tell me the replacement would not be the one that went to the model I purchased, but one that went to a similar model that used the same hose. Well….apparently not!! At this point, I do not know who to contact anymore. I am now at 6 mos past origional purchase. When/if I finally get through to customer service today, will they say time has expired and I am past warranty date?? So, $348.15 down the drain!?? I will repost an update after today with the results. By now, I should be sent a refund, obviously another new machine will not solve the problem since it seems this model is defective.

disappointed
I really want to like this vacuum. I have bought WAY too many vacuums lately just trying to find the right one. It does a good enough job but this is the most cumbersome vacuum I have tried to date. I’ve only kept it out of fear my husband will have me committed if I throw out another one. I’m not throwing it out but it is being banned to the basement which means the one down there is getting tossed. The hose is VERY heavy and the machine does not trail nicely behind. It constantly bangs into furniture or corners. The vacuum will not stand on it’s own, it falls over. The bags are small and changing them is a pain. As I said it does a good job but by the time I’m finished using it I am exhausted from fighting with it. I have now ordered an Oreck. A simple standup lightweight vacuum that has no tools, it’s just a vacuum. I will use my Dyson rechargeable for bare floors, stairs and all the things you need tools for. There is no such thing as all in one. I’ve been through them all. It’s like a Kirby graveyard around here. Anywho, I wanted this one to work out but it did not. Once again it does a good enough job but is clunky, bags are small and a pain to change and all parts of the machine are heavy. This is my honest opinion.

Beautiful and powerful
This replaced a 24 year old Kenmore canister vacuum. It has a nice solid build. This vacuum is quieter than my old one and weighs less. I love how you can adjust the suction from powerful to lighter suction that is good for small area rugs. The telescopic wand helps to reach high places or for my 6 foot tall husband to vacuum without bending over. I love how many accessories this machine comes with and that they all store neatly inside the canister. I have a 10 pack of 5055. (Q/C ) vacuum bags from my old machine that are the same size as this one so I’m not wasting money. Overall, I’m loving the upgraded features and weight of this vacuum and the beautiful purple color. I highly recommend this Kenmore 600 series pop – n -go vacuum!

Have seen some less than ideal reviews on this and clearly those individuals ended up with lemons (it happens, and should get a replacement for sure as their issues are for sure not right) because we are VERY happy with the new powered head vacuum with HEPA (step up from our 23 yo previous Kennore that finally died about a year ago). Purchased a Miele and used that about a year and was okay for hardwood but did absolutely nothing for carpet. Bit the bullet with Kenmore again during prime days and it did not disappoint!!! Could swear it did the 1-yr of missed cleaning of the Miele on its first go (ick).Pros:-very powerful cleaning, awesome suction-extendable handle (good for taller people, can store smaller),-attachments are great (yet to try the pet one)-4 levels of cleaning and transitions well with hardwood cleaning head,-self propelled so not hard to move around-long cord to manouevre with,-canister rolls well on the floor-bags are easy to change-replacement bags are less than seven in pack of six on amazon, brand name but can use knockoffs if you wantCons:-compared to Miele, NONE!-canister may be a bit bulk for some but if you can lift more than 5lbs with one hand its not an issue (soooo worth for the quality of clean!)Just hope we can get another 20+ years out of this one!

Dieser Staubsauger ist nicht für den Europäischen Markt gedacht ,weil er für 120 Volt ausgelegt ist.Warum dieser in Deutschland auf amazon.de verkauft wird ist sehr fragwürdig . Aus den USA von amazon.us hätte ich ja noch verstanden. Einzig und allein eine Angabe von 120 Volt ,hätte ja ein Schreibfehler seien können ,es gibt ja auch andere Staubsauger mit 800 Volt . Wo man sich fragt ,wo die angeschlossen werden sollen :-)Vielen dank Amazon.de für den extra Weg zur Post mit 11,5 Kilo. Für den Anbieter gibt es 1 Stern.

I am really impressed with this vacuum!! It’s very powerful, easy to maneuver, and quick to switch from the power head to the floor tool. The handle is bulkier than my last vacuum but just takes getting used to. It has a very powerful suction! Happy with it!

I purchased this Kenmore 600 Series Canister Vacuum Cleaner back in July. I generally like to use an item that is a little more on the high end (pricewise) for a little while before I do a review. My reasoning is that I want to make sure it works and doesn’t disappoint me a few weeks or even a month after I buy it.I absolutely love it! I’ve always liked using a canister vacuum as I prefer that style over an upright one and I like the Kenmore name and I have been happy with the brand.The suction is incredible. I love that it has a feature where you can increase or decrease the suction with a slider so if you are about to suck something up into the hose, you just move the slider to the least amount of suction and it will let go. LOL! This feature is nice for smaller area types of rugs so you can decrease the suction as the beater bar comes near to the edge of the loose rug which would prevent it from getting sucked up. I did mention that there IS a lot of suction.It has onboard attachments and the little door pops open by the touch of your foot when you want to swap them out and it has a tiny light that comes on. It comes with a nice size beater bar for doing your carpeting and you can exchange it for a floor attachment if you wish.It also has an extended wand feature which helps to reach higher places when needed. I also have to comment on the purple colour. It’s absolutely beautiful. I’m quite happy. I try to take extra care of it because it’s so lovely to look at!There is a HEPA filter etc…By the way, with regards to my previous Kenmore vacuum (it was an Elegance in Spring Green) I am able to use those bags in this vacuum. I’m probably leaving something out but off the top of my head that’s what I wanted to convey. I would recommend this vacuum.

I got the purple pet one. It is convenient to have all the accessories on it but… it’s so heavy and bulky, the pet attachment is already broken. There is so much bulky plastic on it, you cannot just take off the brush and quickly vacuum in the corners, you have to reattach another brush since the telescopic wand is so big. The suction is okay but the brush is too powerful and gets stuck on normal flat carpeting and must be reset. I dislike vacuuming so much and this machine just makes matters worse. Now I am stuck with it at least for another year when most products decide to give up anyway. I suppose the bright side is that we do not have to keep our appliances for 10 or 20 years anymore, they would never last that long. I also wonder if the people making vacuums have ever actually used a vacuum in their lives…
