Handheld to Document Camera Creates a Seamless Experience
I’m a day trader and also coach and mentor other traders. I often sketch out concepts on paper. I’m a bit old school in how I share with my students.Recently, I started thinking there must be a better way to transmit images of what I’m sketching without all the extra steps I usually go through. During my research, I stumbled upon this award-winning camera.Setting it up was a breeze on my Mac; it integrates as easily as my Zoom camera. One feature that really stands out is the macro focus, which lets you capture fine textures and details up close. The cumbersome process of sharing my notes and sketches has been completely streamlined with this camera.The camera’s 4K resolution delivers fantastic image quality. Everything I capture looks sharp and professional, whether I’m using it in handheld mode or as a document camera. Switching between modes is simple, making the camera very versatile. I also like the option to use a camera stand with a magnetic design, which is perfect for presenting physical materials from different angles.The camera has a button that makes taking a snapshot as simple as one click. It’s just a quick press of a button to capture exactly what’s on the screen, making the image capture of my notes and sketches perfect for transmitting to my students.It has a built-in microphone, which I haven’t tried. It’s supposed to have AI noise reduction to ensure quality audio.Overall, this camera has been a fantastic tool for capturing detailed close-ups and making versatile presentations. I can think of dozens of other use cases for the camera, and I’m sure it can help you if you have similar needs.

Has nice holder and acceptable quality
The product is of good quality and comes with a nice holder that features a stable base, allowing for use in various conditions. Its size is comfortable for handheld use. While the camera quality could be slightly improved given the price, its multifunctionality makes it versatile for different applications. Overall, I like it and it works well.

The camera could be better, and the controls don’t function when using with TEAMS
I work for a global equipment manufacturer and I bought this to review parts in TEAMS meetings with other engineers from around the world. The camera is on the cheap side and while the resolution is high the image is contrasty and it’s hard to see surface finishes. The low light response is terrible. On the upside it does focus super close up and the image is quite good with adequate lighting.My frustration is that like many things you can only get the best from the camera using the ipevo software. It’s not possible to adjust anything using the camera in teams and the function buttons on the camera do not function either. This is a real shortcoming. I’d like to fix the focus or click the snapshot button and have it put the image in the chat but none of that is a reality.The overall build quality is very good and the stand and clips are magnificent. I love the magnetic mount. I’d gladly pay more money for this if the above issues were addressed. That said I’m about to buy a second one for my team now because this is very useful for quick sharing in teams calls.

Versatile multi-functional document presentation camera
Notice: This product was received at no charge as part of the Amazon Vine program but this is an unbiased review.This is a terrific little camera. It connects to your computer with a very nice braided USB cable. It uses a USB-C connection, but there is a USB-A adapter included as well. It’s meant to be used for classroom and meeting document and object presentations, but it can do more. If you need a webcam for a video phone connection, streaming, or a Zoom meeting, this camera will do that too.I was able to plug and play using a Mac. It detected the camera with OBS Studio, an open source video recording software, but it also was plug and play for FaceTime. It has 4K resolution and a noise cancelling microphone with clear audio reproduction. It also was plug and play using the camera app on a Windows computer. The manufacturer says there’s Windows software for the camera too, but that’s something I’d not tested.The camera has three mounting options which are included. You can obviously hold the camera freehand, but there is a standard camera screw camera mount that sits on top of a laptop screen or your monitor to use as a webcam. For document and object presentations there are two magnetic attachment camera holders. The camera has magnets on both sides of it to attach to the holders. One of the holders has a clip which you can set on a desk or clip to a ledge or pocket. The other is an adjustable stand which can be pointed downward at a document or other some other item to be displayed to the intended audience. The camera attaches with a pretty strong magnet and it’s held fairly securely. This is a nice feature which allows you to quickly attach the camera to the stand, but if you need to point the camera freehand, there’s no fumbling with unscrewing an attachment or anything thing like that. The only problem is when using the stand, the USB cable weighs enough on the camera that it will cause the camera to rotate and drift on the magnet attachment. But to fix this you just feed the cable through a notch on the articulating arm, and that holds the camera in place better.The camera has excellent quality, and the microphone picks up voices well. There is a little bit of lag with the image if you move the camera or document during a close-up shot. It also takes the camera a bit of time to focus, but that should be expected when using an autofocus feature on any camera. Once it’s focused, the image is sharp and clear with good color reproduction. The camera can get as close as about a centimeter, something my iPhone camera is unable to do, and the close-up image is very good too.For use as a webcam, I was able to use it for Facetime with no problems. So the camera can fit the bill for many different uses.All in all, if you need a high-quality demonstration and streaming camera, this will be a great solution.
