Does the job. Backwards letters and writing
Awesome for the price. Does the job for my needs. BUT, if using it for documents note that it is a Mirror reflection so words, writing, and lettering are backwards. It is great for pics, video castings, and live demonstration.

Compact and quality product.
NOTE: When I got the product, it was discounted at $55 for a sale (likely a mistake).I was looking for something cheap and reasonable for a volunteering opportunity. Discovered this from youtube. It’s very light. Have tried all features – love that you can create screenshots of your notes as pdf. Text to notes conversion is alright. It does best with larger font which is printed. Hand writing recognition still needs improvement. Since this does not come with lights, I recommend using two lights for lighting your workarea. One top down and one whitelight from the sides to remove shadow. Also like the picture in picture feature – very useful for classroom teaching.Very happy with the order.

Pretty good as a webcam
I was hoping to use this as a full-time webcam, as I’ve used prior IPEVOs in this way. However, three things are kind of bumming me out:- The camera always starts out with a specific orientation. If you want to flip it 180º, you have to flip it every single time you start a call, either by pressing the physical button or using the app. It’s really disconcerting for people on the other end.- The auto-focus is constantly zooming slightly in and out throughout my calls, unless I open the app and lock the focus.- As I go through the day, I have to adjust the saturation of the image. In the morning, it’s fine, but as the sun moves past my window, I have to add saturation to avoid looking like a zombie. But I do love the yellow. That’s why I’m still using it. 🙂

good but slow
It is easy to use but slow. The auto focus takes alot longer to work. It could be our program but at this point it would be nice it focused quicker

Excellent choice. You won’t regret.
I have used AverMedia (budget model from 2008), Elmo (mid range model from 2009), and Samsung (mid to high range) document cameras. I choose this one over those. Some things you need to consider. In a non-covid year, most teachers want to use a document camera to project to their class. To do so with this one, you need a chromebook or computer of some kind. You can’t directly project from this document camera the way you can from those I mentioned at the top. You connect it to a computer and display it on the computer and then project the computer’s screen. I have used it with a chromebook and a Windows 10 laptop. Thoughts…The IPEVO Visualizer app for Chromebook is a stripped down version of the Windows app. While the document camera says it’s capable of 4K resolution, my Chromebook only allowed 640×480. I think that might just be the output or display limitation of that chromebook. I also couldn’t adjust the brightness. Even with those caveats, I still liked the camera. It adjusted to low-light well. Colors are vivid. Text is clear. It autofocuses with every little movement, but it does so quickly, and it’s not too obtrusive. I would still glady use it this way. Then I used it with the Windows app, and LOVED it. The higher resolution allowed (1920×1080) really made an impact. Sharper text for sure. The Windows app allows brightness adjustments and exposure lock so that it doesn’t re-adjust every time I bump my cart or the camera.I really appreciate the way the camera folds up compactly in case we have to go fully remote again during this school year.If you’re unsure about it, you can download the IPEVO apps for free and test them out with your webcam just to see what it’s like a little bit. Just know that the doc cam probably works better than the webcam.

It was good until it broke.
As you can see, in the picture it broke. I was surprised when it snapped because I was so gentle when opening and adjusting the cam. It did not even fall. I only used it for about a month and 4 times a week. I will come back and edit this to 5 stars if I will receive my refund. 2 stars for the refund if I will be able to get it.Edit: I got the refund. Good customer service.

Great features and good price
This has high resolution. The USB cord is shorter than other models but I solved this by adding a longer USB cord to it. It folds and is very compact. When it won’t extend high enough to show an entire image I simply put a small box under it.

Very unsteady video. Flickers continuously. Tried all tricks available like changing usb hubs etc., refresh rate decreased. Nothing works.Added to that to my surprise you are stuck with product since non returnable item. Another trick by Amazon and seller to dupe customers into buying substandard and quality poor products. Now our money is stuck.

The picture quality is very crisp and clear. The software you can download for free is very simple to use and it has really improved what I can do in lessons. My only niggle is that the cable is wired in so if it ever went bad, you can’t replace it.If you teach, this is a worthwhile investment!
