Works perfectly
Living in the northeast solar panels aren’t so great in the shortened sunlight of winter months. I actually got my ring stick up can as a gift from my sister+thanks much sis). I got it with the solar panel.duribgvtge fall it was awesome didn’t have to worry about getting out a ladder to retrieve my camera to charge it. However in Pennsylvania during the winter months not enough direct sunlight to keep the battery charged. So I decided to get a charger cord and wire my camera. It fits my camera perfectly. And although I don’t need to leave the battery in my camera as it no longer needs it I decided to leave it in in the event of a power outage the camera will remain active. Really nice heavy cord. The extension cord makes the length nice and long approximately 20 feet over all . Perfect for where my camera is on the front of my house to where the plug is. Good product. So if you live in an area where sunlight can be scarce I recommend this cord. Be wise do t buy off brands as they aren’t as durable as the official ring cord plus it will begate your warranty if the off brand cord causes issues with your ring camerZ.

Ring Cord for Stick Up Cams
No instructions came with the cord. The outdoor cord had a double barrel bracket. The videos on their web site were not helpful, and I finally contacted Ring to figure out an option since in Michigan we are not getting enough sunlight for the solar panel.During my conversation, which was helpful, I noted that there was a small panel that said push. Once I removed that with some difficulty, I could see the double barrel prongs. Again with some difficulty, I got the prongs lined up and locked in place. I have included two photos that should help.I recommend Ring include a diagram as it would have been a time saver. The cord is as described.

No need to change batteries.
Great product. I was so sick of changing the battery in my camera. Now it has continuous power.

Clarification on adapter cord lengths and indoor/outdoor installation
I purchased a generation 3 stick up cam to use at my horse’s stable. After realizing how often I would need to recharge the battery, due to the frequency of motion of my horse and quantity of recordings, I bought a small Ring solar panel. I installed it and it worked perfectly. However, I discovered that the small panel was not sufficient to charge the battery at the level of use it was receiving in spite of the fact that it received several hours of direct sunlight. Then I realized I could simply use the power adapter. I ordered it and I am extremely happy with it.There seems to be some confusion in other reviews as to the two different cables that are included. When you open the package, you find the 6’ long power adapter and what appears to be a 15’ extension cable with a connector on one end separate. The 6’ cable with the power adapter is designed for indoor use. If you want to use the cable outside, or simply need additional length, you can easily remove the face plate on the adapter and connect the extension cord face plate for an additional 15’ of length. The outside connector plate also includes four screw holes on the plate for securing the adapter.I hope this helps clarify some of the confusion in the reviews.

5 stars for the transaction and product. Zero stars to Ring
Good item, no problem with seller. 5 stars for the transaction and product. Zero stars to Ring because this product , although fits with the Ring wall light and is advertised as compatible by Ring, is not compatible. The wall light is trash. it barely charges well in direct sunlight and this cord doesn’t help it. The light wont work off of cord power and only accepts a trickle for charging the batteries. My opinion is that the Ring Wall Light has a bad batch of rechargeable batteries. I am returning the Ring wall light, Ring Light Bridge, and this cord but keeping only the Ring cams which work well. Again, Good item, no problem with seller. 5 stars for the transaction and product. Zero stars to Ring. If you are thinking about using this cord with the Ring Wall Light, don’t bother and just return the Wall light. The cord will not fix the problem. Also, very weird that you can grant permission to anyone to use the light but you can grant permission to camera. Ring Smart Lighting is a fail.

Was good while it worked in 2020. Used for about 6 months then put it aside for a long time. Tried using it again in 2022 and doesn’t work. To make sure it wasn’t my camera, I hooked it up to a 2nd camera and still no recharging of the battery.
