    greatest invention since the set-it-and-forget-it
i’ve had this for a few months and waited this long to review so i could really get a feel for its worth. this is easily one of the best countertop appliances to hit the shelves, especially if you love to be in the kitchen.this device is great quality, has a variety of settings for different types of breads and mixes surprisingly well. definitely not as large as i would have assumed, but id say about half the size of a typical microwave. i do put mine in the cabinet when not in use, but if my counter space was a little bigger i’d definitely leave it out because i use it probably 3-4 times a week.i’ve made tons of different loaves for friends and coworkers (and myself), dinner rolls, and even cinnamon rolls. it’s got a lot of great function buttons as well as a custom one that is great value especially when you get used to the cooking cycles and time for bread rising. the auto functions with the setting buttons are awesome, you literally just throw all the ingredients in and press a button; it goes thru the mixing, the bread rising (you can adjust based on types of bread), the kneading, the resting, AND the baking without you having to lift a finger. i should have purchased this YEARS ago! 10/10

Fantastic Bread Maker for Home Bakers!
I recently purchased the Hamilton Beach Bread Maker Machine, and it has been a wonderful addition to my kitchen. This machine is incredibly user-friendly and versatile, with 12 different settings that cater to a variety of bread types, including gluten-free options. The digital programmable feature makes it easy to set up and forget, allowing me to focus on other tasks while the bread is baking. The 2 lb capacity is perfect for my family, and the dishwasher-safe pan and kneading paddle make cleanup a breeze. One of my favorite aspects is the ability to customize the crust shade and loaf size, ensuring that every loaf comes out just the way I like it. The machine operates quietly, and the viewing window lets me keep an eye on the progress without lifting the lid.Overall, the Hamilton Beach Bread Maker Machine has exceeded my expectations. It consistently produces delicious, fresh bread with minimal effort. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy homemade bread with ease!

    Works Well
My wife and I got this for our daughter to take to college. We did a test bake of a parmesan/garlic bread at home and it worked flawlessly producing a really tasty loaf. My daughter has since used it at school where it worked well. Nice bread maker.

The motor in it is too weak.
I like that it makes good bread but you better know that you have to tweak the water to the correct amount. I first made a 2 lb. loaf and I could tell the motor is too weak for constant use, I don’t believe it would hold up before the weak motor burned out if you used it regularly for large loaves. I bought this because my Sunbeam bread maker, which I have used for years and was a cheaper priced machine with a stronger motor, was having some pan issues. The pans are more than the whole maker cost or close so I bought this one thinking the pan will work in my sunbeam if I don’t like the bread machine. The pan does fit into my sunbeam so that is great. I decided to keep using this machine and only making the 1 1/2 lb loaves which doesn’t tax the weak motor as much, just to see how long it will last. That seams to work ok and the bread, white bread basic loaf, comes out just fine, that is if you tweak the water content to make a consistent bread dough. After reading other reviews on other machines, I don’t know if any of them are worth the money to be honest. Oh, you could spend $400 for one that is supposed to be better but you won’t find any better reviews and the machine might last longer but the cheap pans won’t. Try buying a pan for those expensive makers when it wears out. I suspect most bad reviews are from people who don’t have a clue about proper bread dough consistency who just follow the exact recipe and end up with bricks instead of bread. That is why they make biscuits in tubes or sleeves, for people who don’t know how to cook, lol. To be fair, if this machine had a stronger motor it would be a real value but it is weaker than my sunbeam. I suppose that is why you can’t find the Sunbeam on amazon anymore for sale, lol. I wish businesses would stop figuring their product manufacturing on the bottom line basis and put out real good products from the start and back them up with good service and parts that can be bought at a reasonable price, hint, they would stay in business longer. Today, It seems they only make products that barely and I mean barely, live up to most peoples standards and do not last long because of cheap parts used in the manufacturing of their products. I hope this helps someone in their quest for a good bread machine. If you buy this one follow the direction yes but tweak the water amount, usually more until you get the dough consistency to a soft bread dough texture and your bread will come out fine. Of course that is provided you get a machine that doesn’t have some other issue. Good luck, I hope this helps.

    I love this bread maker!
This is my second Hamilton Beach bread machine. My first machine was worked to death. I decided on this model because of the keypad is out in front and the window is larger. The machine is very quiet and compact. The best feature for me is the three bread sizes. 1 lb,1.5lb, or 2 lb. Take your pick. I am very pleased with my new bread machine

    My favorite bread maker!
My old Hamilton Beach bread maker died after years of great service. I tried some other brands of bread makers, but was very disappointed. I bought another Hamilton Beach one and am very pleased with it. The booklet only came with two recipes, so I’m really glad I save my old recipe booklet that came with the first one I bought. You can access their recipes online though.
