    A Very fine product!
I have used the Coffee Maker for a week or two now and it seems to be a very fine product. I replaced an aging Breville Coffee Maker. The Breville is missing most of the features of the GE Profile. The Breville is a more substantial (read “heavier”) feeling product but the GE Profile coffee maker delivers the taste and convenience of coffee just like you like it. The GE Profile has loads of features and they all deliver as advertised.

    Great tasting coffee
Great tasting coffee! I was looking for a coffee maker that had a built in grinder, single cup and carafe options and brewed bold coffee. This checks all of the boxes. I would give it five stars except the reservoir came with a leak. I reached out to GE and they shipped me a new one within a few days.

Great taste and style – crap tray mechanism though
I know… you can get a functioning plastic drip coffee maker for like $40 that will provide hot caffein every morning for decades…maybe even on a timer too……But we wanted it to grind the beans automatically for us and allow us to start the process from our phone or Alexa while upstairs in bed. I know… it almost pains me to admit it.So I want to love it. It looks very nice, seems like MOSTLY good quality, truly makes a fantastic tasting cup if coffee – really. And has some nice features in the app and on the display for the amount of coffee, temperature, grinds, etc.HOWEVER, I’m disappointed with it because of one main thing – the grinds tray mechanism. You push a button and it opens up, but the closure mechanism seems slightly off or out of alignment. When pushing it back in it is not smooth and seems quite finicky. For the price, it should really be rock solid. I’ll be annoyed if the door breaks in a year or two because it wasn’t engineered well. For me this unit scores high on coffee taste, functional technology, and visual style, but loses major points with me for mediocre engineering on the tray closure mechanism. If that mechanism seemed more durable and precise then this would be a 5/5.

    Day one
Day one. Not liking it at all. Taste of good quality coffee not happening. It’s like it’s not grinding enough beans for a strong cup. Concept is great, looks nice, delivery never an issue. Playing with the settings went from gold to extra bold. Bloom time. Nope. Had a $70 grind and brew from Black and decker. Blade grinder. Night and day difference. It died. Rest it’s soul. Hoping maybe it’s a break in phase. If only……Stat tuned for Day 2 report. If you’re thinking about this one it’s because you really enjoy a good quality brew. When it’s not even close, well it’s like being cheated especially at this price point. I want to like this one. Really. Tried using Starbucks and Vermont Coffee Company whole bean.Update: Returned sadly, had high hopes. Now have a Cuisinart. Not much better. So far the winner is a Black and Decker based solely on taste. Shocked

    Great Coffee Maker
We bought this to replace a Brevelle machine. It’s pretty awesome to say the least. Single cup option is great. Brews wonderful coffee.

    Steams alot
Great coffee machine , however it does steam alot so if it’s under your cabinets be mindfull of that, also it’s heavy to slide out so I bought an appliance tray and it just rolls right out, works great!

Not a fit for me, but maybe great for you
I really wanted to love this coffee maker, but it just didn’t work out. I loved all of the features from the single serve pod-less to the carafe. I just couldn’t get the coffee, strong enough or hot enough. I used French roast & the extra bold setting and it still came out less than the strength I like. If you don’t need very strong coffee, this is probably a good coffee maker for you.

    Some great features, some flaws
Honest review, of a free product. I like the brewer but it does have a few issues. I wanted to be able to use whole beans and ground coffee and that is why I chose this brewer. I love that it has the grinder included. I love that it has a large reservoir. I like that it comes with a reusable filter and has a second one included. I like that it comes with a filter for the water reservoir. The stainless silver look is nice but I would prefer if it was less for aesthetics and more about health, which would mean including all parts. I tried it once so far using the carafe. The instruction book is not as detailed about how to use the machine as I would like. It did not list how many beans to use, which left me guessing. The book explains the parts fairly well but less about the process. It also suggests the grind setting be set to between 3 and 4 but there are no numbers on the machine only dashes, fine, and course. I took a guess it was a couple of dashes after fine. I set it for extra bold, and a temp that seemed good for bold (according to the instructions) and honestly, the brew was not as bold as I had hoped. I like my coffee dark and strong and it was more of a medium to me. I hate to think if I had used the “gold” setting how weak it would be. I did try a new type of coffee so it’s possible that had some effect though it was a dark roast. I would equate most of the above with adapting to a new machine so I don’t necessarily consider those flaws. The things I consider flaws are 2 items. the first is the filter door does not shut well, it is push button open but very difficult to close and I am concerned it will break. The second item is also the filter basket, the part that is NOT removable collects coffee grinds and is a pain to clean. After brewing my coffee I removed all the removable parts to wash them, and when I went to put them back wound up with coffee all over them again because it was on the unremovable part. That part should be removable, it’s a design flaw as far as I’m concerned. There are a lot of good features to this machine, so my overall rating is positive. I love being able to grind and brew, the machine is quiet and efficient. I will play with the settings until I get a true dark brew, but I think it’s achievable. Overall I do recommend it with a couple of caveats.
