Super Fast! Excellent quality
Going paperless requires a good scanner. This one is great!

Superb
I had previously owned a ScanSnap scanner that I used for over 10 years. I was a little reluctant to get a refurbished model, but it works like a dream just like the previous scanner, a real work horse!

Would like a proper manual included with device!
The Fujitsu IX500 Scansnap Document Scanner is a phenomenal device. It weighs a substantial 6.96 lbs without the power cord included. The device feels quite solid. There is also a USB 3.0 cable included. This scanner is crazy fast at uploading documents. So much better than my Brother printers are capable of. Going through pages in seconds instead of a minute or more. The included paper manual just has a few lines of instructions of how to operate and set up the device at a fixed location. It does not cover how to setup a WiFi connection. The manual informs the user to go to the Fujitsu website to download the software.

Still A Great Scanner To Searchable PDF
While the iX500 has been discontinued and had its heyday back in 2014, it’s still a great scanner.Let’s face it, scanners aren’t something that have really changed over the years as they all pretty much do the same thing. This machine was made solely for scanning and not part of a All In One Printer where you are limited to just a few functions. The iX500 has some great pros including it’s very fast at scanning to searchable PDF, great Optical character recognition, great at scanning in business cars, and even at 10 years old, it’s still very reliable for Wi-Fi and USB 3.0 connectivity. The cons are just that it will only connect wirelessly to one computer at a time and the documentation could use a refresh. This used to be over six hundred dollars so if you need a workhorse scanner at a great deal, this is your one
