Great bedside fan
I always thought the desktop evap coolers were gimmicky, and they mostly are, until I saw this one that actually uses media and not just a soaked sponge/mister.Remember, this is NOT an air conditioner. Performance and efficiency will depend on your environmental conditions. You can only cool down the the wet bulb temp, but it’s not 100% efficient so it’ll be a few degrees above.Positives:- Design and Build quality on this are excellent. The unit looks good and is well thought out…. This the price.- Noise — this is by far the most quiet of any fan I tried. That are no annoying rattles or motor harmonic. Just the sound of the fan which has a pleasant white noise sound at all speeds.- No mist, true evap design. This will eliminate any “white dust” that comes with the low cost desktop coolers.Negatives:- I wish the water tank was slightly larger, at speed 2 I get about 5 hours. I’d like one hour more.- the louvers are very loose and may not stay in position at higher fan speeds. All in all a great purchase and I will be buying more to replace other fans in the house. Yes it is more expensive but I personally think it well worth the cost for the quality.

Don’t waste your money!
I feel like I got sent a repackaged product. I ordered 2 so I could put them in my kids room and use on my desk while at my computer. Both products that I ordered had scratches and scuff marks. In addition, one of the units fins were all off and dislocated. The filter is either extremely cheap, or looks already used. If I tap on it dust comes out. The contents of the package when opened looked dusty. My last complaint is for the price, and looking at the product pictures I thought it came with a power bank. Sadly I was wrong. Does it work? Well sort of. It puts off cool air, but not cold air. I would rather use a strong fan.

Quieter Than Expected
The product appears to work great. It does cool the area in front of the fan output. Increasing the speed from level 1 to level 2 appears to consume water twice as fast.I run the unit on Level 2 and find the fan noise to be very acceptable.Update: I take water to my Evapolar. While the included funnel is clever, it does not work well with my water container. Search for “Coghlans, Funnel, Yellow, 2 1/4″” and see my $2.99 solution…

Nice cool breeze!
No air conditioning in my house so this tiny cooler helped me stay comfortable last summer. I was surprised at how cool it would get for the small size. Only thing they should mention is to use with a tray or something under it since the moisture ruined my wood end table.

Totally misleading
I was led to believe this product would cool small personal spaces indoors and outdoors in campers and in tents. I discovered that it only cooled in areas where cool air conditioning is already flowing. And out doors it only blew the hot air around that of the temp out side. Oh btw I live in Florida which temps this product can compete with at all. Basically it is a high priced fan. Not to mention it requires an external power source which isn’t usually available in a tent or camping settings. I didn’t wish to waste the time returning it so I decided to just use it in my air conditioned rooms in my home. I’m totally unsatisfied with the limited performance of this product and it’s advertisement

Really 3.5 stars, solid mini AC
It’s a solid mini desktop AC that blows a nice small stream to your face … let’s be honest, unless you’re in a closet, it will not cool down a room but it’s a nice dredging stream in your face to make you feel slightly better … it is better for low humidity places as you need to add water … the container is not huge, at the lowest setting, you will need to refill it every 3-4 hours … at higher settings, more often. I did notice that filling it with ice water or just cold tap water produced no real difference in temperature so that is convenient as u don’t have to freeze or use fridge water. At the lowest and mid setting, it’s pretty quiet, at the highest setting, you’ll probably want your noise canceling earpiece in … takes about 1.5 Powerade bottles to fill it. Comes with usb power (plus adapter) so that’s nice. Just don’t expect a real AC blast but a nice solid desktop stream …

Does the Job
I took this one with me on the road to New Hampshire in the summer of 2024 (from West Texas) and what I love about it is that it does a nice job of keeping the interior of my 4Runner cool while I sleep. It won’t do much for you (unfortunately) in high-humidity, but if you are camping in your vehicle (as I like to do), it really keeps the truck’s interior cool. If you cool down the interior of the vehicle (idle for 10-15 minutes) and get it nice and cool, then let this baby run, you’ll be comfy all night. I put a 12 ounce bottle of water in it and woke up refreshed 7 hours later. It’s quiet and won’t keep you awake. I’m very pleased with this little cooler.
