Yes, this is worth buying.
One of the easiest printers to set up !FOLLOW all of the setup instructions and things will go as planned, it works at the end of setup process. The touch screen is great.Connecting to BOTH a wifi device and an phone/tablet are two separate processes, dont think they are one and the same. The Sleep function timer can be adjusted, set mine at 15 minutes, default was 1 minute.Yes, if the printer goes to sleep the user must wake it up. That is not an issue.Yes, when it sleeps and you want to airprint the user must re-establish its connection. Not an issue. The paper tray? Yes some say its a bit flimsy. It’s plastic and Epson has made it as light as possible, so that means dont try abusing the paper tray. When re-inserting the tray THE BLUE RELEASE butoon tab is paramount in getting the tray to go back in correctly. That did take a bit of time to workout since the instructions were not clear on how to reinsert the full try again. Just DONT ram in back in thinking its stuck, its not stuck, it needs the BLUE RELEASE button pressed again. All in all, yes I would buy this same printer again. The negative reviews are a mystery to me, the printer works, like it was designed to work.

Nice All-In-One Printer
Unlike my other printer (hp Envy) this printer maintains a strong Wi-Fi connection, and I don’t have to wake it to start a printing process. It is not too wide, but it is a bit on the tall side (much like a cube) and mainly has to be stored on top of a shelf/desk. Colors are good and print quality is nice too. It was very easy to set up, however, one of my devices couldn’t establish a connection with the printer and I had to connect via ip address (not that hard to find and add). So far I have not experienced any ink smudges or bleeding on anything I’ve printed yet. It is user friendly and I believe it is a mid-range printer of high results that every small business or home should have at a very good price.

Good printer … Until Epson bricked it with Firmware
Bought this as a replacement for a small office HP that died on us. It is a good machine. Nice features at a reasonable cost. Good color, full duplex, excellent scanning, and reasonable speed. The drivers are fairly crappy in that they constantly want to update and are poorly written and appear to send too much data home. (max out two cores on a modern i7 for a tiny printer driver update.) Overall a good machine and excellent for the price. Epson ink is ridiculously priced so went with high quality refurbished ink cartridges. Worked great at a good price.Fast forward to July 2022. Epson pushes firmware update for “performance, stability, and security updates” that seems harmless. Who doesn’t install newer firmware when it is offered? After the firmware update the printer claimed that the ink cartridges were faulty and refused to function. Turns out that the printer is now a brick until I buy genuine Epson ink refills at an exorbitant price. Turns out the company has had a number of class actions against them in the past for this very shady practice. Time to write up some copy for social media and contact a lawyer. It should be illegal to remove capabilities from a product that has been bought and paid for and working for months. Certainly I will never buy another Epson product and neither will anyone at my company.

Reasonably Reliable
This is my 3rd year using the Epson printer. It’s very reliable. Print quality is good.

Great Product
Wanted a new printer that was reasonably priced and included a fax. I wanted an Epson as I had the previous Epson 4100 Series. I chose this one because it not only was a printer but copy, scan and fax. It also allowed me use EFAX which a mobile fax app as I don’t have a landlines phone. Set was easy took 20 minutes. Would like Epson to include instructions as opposed to looking them up online. But overall I’m happy with it. Hopefully it’s not a ink drinker as my previous Epson. But, I would advise if your buying this to purchase extra ink also. It only except Epson brand and will not work with generic although maybe advertised as compatible

Delivered within 2 days of order. Product is very easy to set up using the onscreen menu. The setup guide ( printout) is very helpful.

Great
For work, but works well. Fax, scan, print to cloud, email, desktop. App tells you when ink is low. Easy to follow setup instructions.

Works well, much better than the Canon it replaced. I was surprised at the print speed, it’s very fast. When printing images however the quality is very average, definitely not a printer I’d use to print photos.

No es inyectable y decĂa que lo era, los cartuchos no duran nada, los que vienen me duraron para 350 mĂ¡s o menos de impresiones, si salen d buena calidad pero los cartuchos son caros. Mala compra en mi opiniĂ³n

Printer has WIFI connection issues with dual band routers that use the same SSID for 2.4 and 5 GHz. This important issue is not mentioned on the installation sheet, but is found deep in the manual. Most people wouldn’t expect to have to refer to the manual if they are following the “quick start” installation sheet. I didn’t either and called Epson tech support. They didn’t seem to know about the router issue, couldn’t help and promised to investigate and call me back. Three different calls from me ended the same way. No call back. While waiting for the call I scanned the manual where I found information about the need to have different names for 2.4 and 5 GHz bands. I made the change to my router and the problem was solved. How can it be that this isn’t noted on the setup instructions and that the tech support people don’t know about it. Why no call back? Printer us working fine now, but instructions and tech support issues are baffling. I came very close to returning the printer. I see in other reviews that WIFI connection is a big problem.

This printer is extremely unreliable. I have it connected to my WiFi, and after turning it off and on it refuses to connect to the wifi. I tried troubleshooting the issue and it’s definitely not the wifi as other devices are fine.If one needs a printer that they want to connect to wirelessly, or have it connected to their wireless network, I would highly recommend they go for another printer.Edit: I came back to my review to add more issues that i foundThe printer will not let you print anything when color ink is low but black ink is still full, even if you are only trying to print black and white pages. It also sometimes shoves multiple pages through the printing area (instead of one at a time).
