Actual print times will vary based on factors including system configuration, software, and page complexity. 1. Actual savings and costs will vary considerably based on print tasks, print volumes and usage conditions. Savings and cost per ISO page are based on the cost of replacement ink bottles and the cost of enough standard-capacity color laser toner cartridges to achieve the total page yields of the ink bottles using the manufacturers’ online prices and yields for the best-selling similarly featured color laser printers, available at retail, priced at $999 or less (USD) with speeds of 40 ppm or less per industry-available data as of July 2019. Savings of up to $600 (USD) and cost per ISO page of about $0.09 (USD) for XL-capacity color laser toner cartridges based on the same methodology. 2. Part of the ink from the included bottles is used for initial setup; yields are lower than those of replacement ink bottles. Replacement and included ink bottle yields based on the ISO/IEC 24712 pattern with Epson’s methodology. Actual ink yields will vary considerably for reasons including images printed, print settings, temperature and humidity. Yields may be lower when printing infrequently or predominantly with one ink color. All ink colors are used for printing and printer maintenance, and all colors must be available for printing. 3. Based on comparing manufacturers’ reported TEC values of the best-selling, similarly featured color laser printers priced about $999 (USD) or less with print speeds of 40 ppm or less as of July 2019. 4. Epson Connect account and voice-activated account registration required. 5. Most features require an Internet connection to the printer, as well as an Internet- and/or email-enabled device. 6. Wi-Fi CERTIFIED; level of performance subject to the range of the router being used. Wi-Fi Direct may require printer software. 7. 12 months of standard limited warranty or 80,000 plain paper sheets (whichever happens first). For an additional 12-month extended service plan (total of 24 months or 80,000 plain paper sheets, whichever happens first), register your product and use Epson genuine ink bottles. Really Great Printer!
I purchased the Epson ET-5880 for our small office to fulfill our need for a good color printer. I read a number of a reviews about the printer before making the purchase. Most were positive, so I went ahead and ordered the printer. I’m very pleased with this printer. I had no problem connecting it to our network. Installing the drivers on four computers was easy as well. I should note that the printer comes with a CD for installation, but I chose to use the NEWER drivers that were on Epson’s website instead. You should do that as well.Filling the ink tanks on the printer was very simple. Not so much as a drop of ink was spilled. The ink bottles are keyed so that one cannot put the wrong color ink in a tank no intended for that color. Once filled, the unit goes through a charging process (Epson’s term) to get ink to the print heads. Yes, it uses a little ink, but Epson also supplied a second set of ink bottles so that the ink tanks are full after the charging process. The printing is very fast, yielding high quality print. I suggest using 22 or 24 pound paper, especially if printing on both sides of the paper.I was particularly interested in seeing how this printer would handle scanning. I do a lot of two-sided scanning. The scanning software, SCAN 2 and SCANSMART, both worked well. SCAN 2 gives the user lots of options, but might be overwhelming to a newer user. The SCANSMART software is more visual and gives the user enough features to adjust and/or crop images as needed. The software does provide the option of creating a searchable PDF file, which is something I like as I deal in contract documents. Of course, one can print from a cell phone or tablet if desired. There’s even a remote print feature where one can print via email from anywhere where there’s an Internet connection.Overall, I’m pleased with this printer. It’s not inexpensive, but it will easily meet the needs of a small office.

Great printer
For a small printer, scanner and office/home printer, it’s very nice. I especially like the larger capacity ink cartridges, more ink and less materials used. Photos are crisp and sharp with excellent color gamut, speed is good. You have every print option available to you, to best meet the needs and quality of any job at handing question. Scanning is fast and accurate, as is printing, if you use it as a copier. Ink consumption is surprisingly thrifty, and cleaning operations are sparing of the ink that is used. Epson issues updakes on a regular basis. I bought this printer as a gift specifically because I have owned one myself, for about two years. In that time, I have experienced zero performance or maintainance issue with the device.I am entirely satisfied with this printer, and am also happy that it is so reliable that I am afforded the luxury of being able to forget about when I not actually using it.Disclosure: I have no relationship of any kind with Epson or any other vendors, and I have neither. received nor solicited renumeration or other considerations, of any nature, for my endorsement of this product.

Review after 9 weeks of office use
We purchased this to replace two HP laser Jet printers which were very costly on toner cartridges. Set up was straight forward. The set up uses a lot of ink but still left enough for 10 weeks of office use (approx 3000 copies). We noticed no drop in print quality compared to the HP printers – it may be a little slower but only marginally and makes no difference in our environment. Overall very happy so far

Buyer Beware as the Free Ink is not worth the price or headaches this printer creates.
Bought the printer a few months ago and was positive after reading reviews it should be a winner even though it costs $849.99 which is a lot of money for a printer with no real track record. I set the unit up and use it for printing black and a few hundred 4″x4″ black and white images with basic text. We tried the printer and the first prints soaked the paper with ink and distorted the paper and took a long time to dry and we reduce the image quality and ink and got the same result.By the time we got it dry the quality was gone and the brother printer we had before this would print high quality and was dry and it only cost $349.99. We decided to give it a try as the reviews all said this should yield 6000 to 8000 pages. Once the month was over and the ink was almost out the unit was at 1800+ pages and th black tank was close to empty. This was very upsetting as now you have to turn in ink bottle info and rebates after the purchase of ink to get the free ink program they offer for 2yrs from the time of purchase.I highly recommend looking at another printer as this thing also suffers from rear paper jams that do not exist and it seems when you print from and back it trips some sensor and has to be restarted and is now a useless printer we are going to have to replace after only a few months. $%@@ this is absolutely unacceptable and deceptive marketing to get 2yrs free ink to get ripped off by purchasing this POS for $849.99 and have to buy ink with less than 2000 prints and not feel like you were tricked by deceptive marketing!I’m not a competitor or a fake review and I just wanted to share this as one of the worst printer experiences I have ever made and I take my time and have always been selective so we can be on top of over output and cost per sheet. HI really hopes this helps everyone steer clear of the new Epson eco-tanks and they look elsewhere before getting sucked in by empty promises.Worst Printer Purchase Ever was with Epson EcoCRAP they can keep the 2yrs with of ink with all the poor performance and jamming issues. This STINKS!

ADF needs work
I have several Epson eco printers ranging in size and cost. On the lower end ones I accepted that the ADF didn’t work for very long and began pulling more than one sheet or jamming so much, but on this higher end one, I would not expect it and am very disappointed. I love the fact that you receive full bottles of ink with initial purchase. I appreciate the ease and cleanliness of the ink filling process. I think the speed and quality of print matches the price well. There are so many positives. If only the ADF could be fixed, this long time HP user could be an epson convert.

Bought this printer in particular because of the full duplex scanning capability. The connectivity options on this printer are great. For scanning I just created a shared folder on my computer and the printer drops all the scans into there. Print quality is excellent and fast too.

The printer they sent me couldn’t even be configured, they made me spend time and money to be able to return it, since they send garbage and even though I am a person with a disability I have to carry heavy loads and carry the product to be returned because of their errors

I had a pagewide before so I guess I was a little spoiled with speed. But that one had expensive cartridges. This one has a preset for scanning to one drive with only 3 touches.. awesome. Prints, scans and copies pretty fast. I print a lot during the day and this printer does the job very well. Noticeably slower when printing duplex or high quaility. Still plenty fast for printing 1-10 pages at a time. If you want anything faster, get a pagewide. Ink tank levels are visible, very smart feature. My only real complaint as that it is a little noisy when printing, but other than that 10/10. I would definitely buy again.
