Amazing at proofing
If you have a problem with proofing your dough, I highly recommend buying this heated banoton basket. It is a 10 out of 10. I wish I had bought it sooner but I just found out about it. It is absolutely amazing. It proofed my dough in 3 hours. It came with all kinds of accessories, most of which I already had, but it is a wonderful deal. If you are new to starting sourdough, I highly recommend you check this bundle up. It also will defrost your meat as well. There are a few different uses other than just proofing. It is not hot, it’s just slightly warm enough to warm your dough

Only worked one time
I was so excited to use this for my sour dough. The first use it worked perfectly. Now all I get is a flashing blue light No heat. I turn it on green and still no heat

Perfect for proofing dough during cooler winter months
This bowl works perfect when room temps are lower due to winter. I’ve only used it once but the dough i proofed rose much higher and faster than the batch i made a week prior at room temp. Very happy with this purchase.

Proofing basket
I thought this product might be a good addition to my break making tools, however its a little unclear how the item works. The light that changes the temp always flashes and never stays solid so you aren’t quite sure what temp you are set at. directions were really bad, seemed to be written by an AI assistant. Difficult to understand .

works intermittently
I had to let my two neighbors try this for me. (I don’t like sourdough bread but they do and they both bake it a few times a year.From both neighbors I was told that it works intermittently and can’t be depended on… One of them used the heating bowl for other dough and that didn’t seem to matter, it worked well proofing quicker than if she left it on a shelf where she usually proofs and waits for it to rise. It’s just that 3 out of 5 times it worked for one and 2 out of 3 times it worked for the other.I don’t believe those are good odds and therefore can’t recommend it.

Really a useful tool
During the winter my kitchen is way too cool to do a good job proofing bread. I have typically had to move the dough to a warmer room, like my bathroom which has a heated floor. Needless to say that’s less than ideal. 🙂 With this I can do the rise in a reasonable length of time without moving from the kitchen. The silicone is easy to clean and folds into a compact size for storage. I’ve done several different loaves with it so far and it has worked flawlessly. If there is anything I’m less that thrilled with is that the controls are on the bottom. If you forget to turn it on before putting the dough in, you have to pick it up over your head to press the buttons. Not a big problem once you are used to it, but a pain the first time. The guidelines for time to proof based on flour weight are a little short for my needs, I’m typically working with only whole wheat flour, which can take longer than bread flour. So, do some testing and figure out what works best for you. I use 395g of wheat ground to flour and it takes about 50% more time than estimated to get a double rise.

Instructions and other Items are missing
This seems like a nice product and might deserve Five Stars, but I cannot be sure if I am setting it up correctly as there was no user’s manual. Also, only the lame and sling were included in the box. The bench scraper, dough mixer, spatula, etc. were missing. Please advise.
