Key feagures
We are using nickel-chrome wire, which can reach more than 1832°F, but still has better strength. Even after long time heating, this kind of nickel chrome wire has little deformation permanent elongation. Therefore, it has better life span. We are using 312 Faston tab terminals with nickel-chrome surface finishing, which can withstand high temperature of more than 390°F. We are using new technology of crimping terminal to make sure the pull-off force is more than 50 pounds, which meet the standard of UL Cerified.

Normally, the most frequently blown point is the connection between nickel-chrome wire and faston tab.The contact resistance bewteen nickel-chrome wire and faston tab become bigger when heating element is oxidized. If the faston tab terminal can’t withstand working temperature of more than more than 390°F, then it could be easily blown.
Several reasons lead to the failue of heating element
Suitable and good quanlity nickel chrome wire
Bad quanlity and unsuitable nickel chrome wire will not withstand high temperature, become soft and deform easily.
Even wiring
Even wiring will make sure temperature uniformity evrywhere along the heating element. Or not, if there is partial over heating area, where the heating element could be easily blown.
Terminal crimping
The contact resistance bewteen nickel-chrome wire and faston tab is bigger than the heating wire and will generate more heat, which will lead to the connection’s fusing.
Faston tab
Tinplating termial or other bad terhminal will not withstand working temperature of more than more than 390°F, but nickel-chrome finishing tab will do and has longer life span.

Rated output power is 5300 Watts, but with tolerance range from -2% to 5%. When the heating wire ages, the resistance becomes larger and the outout power decrease. And then there will be not engough heat or the heating element’s life span will become short.

Good Heating Element
I actually didn’t get a chance to use this yet since it turned out to be one of the thermostats that was the problem. However, I have ordered these before, and this looks just as well made as the last one I installed which lasted over 4 years. I tested it with a multi meter, and there were no shorts in it. These are not that hard to install. Since I have done it twice now (plus another time for a thermostat), I can remove the old one and install the new one in about an hour with just a screwdriver (a pair of pliers also helps).

Great replacement
Overall, this replacement has worked really well. Looks just like the original equipment manufacturer. OEM that came with the product and it was not too difficult to install. I would recommend taking a video of the insulation process so when you go to connect a new one, you can reverse engineer it. In other words, working backwards can be very helpful. Please follow all safety protocols. The product itself works very well and it heated up right away.

Quick fix would’ve made it good as new!
Updated review: we opened this box to replace the heating element we’ve repaired annually since 2021. Thought this would be a simple fix but the element did not include the 2 high temp sensors that every kit we’ve gotten in previous years included. With an angry hubby and my dryer apart, I had to reorder the exact replacement from last year and this one is useless.The review I originally posted, in anticipation of success (as was the case every year with the other brand’s replacement):I purchased a pre-owned Samsung dryer off FB Marketplace 4 years ago after my old faithful finally gave up the ghost.The seller said it worked fine, even showing us his exact duplicate currently operational in his garage when we purchased it. Got it home and NOTHING. After messaging him, he admitted he wasn’t sure it heated up (Ok, sure) but gave us our money back and told us to keep it. Instead of thanking him for giving us trash to get rid of, we had nothing to lose at this point, so we looked on Amazon for a heating element. Within 2 days we had a fully operational dryer, good as new, even if it’s technically a “lemon,” that needs this part replaced about every 12-14 months, we’re learning.For someone who uses it fairly often – it’s no big deal to pay for a new heating element annually. After 3 installs, my husband doesn’t even need to watch any of the YouTube videos showing how to do this.Save yourself the big $$ from calling a repairman, finding this part through other retailers, or worse, replacing this dryer – start on Amazon. You may be pleasantly surprised like us! In 3+ years, we’ve paid under $120 for a modern Samsung dryer that works like new!

Great OEM replacement
I recently had my original heating element go out in my Samsung electric dryer. This saved my life. I was able to take about 2hrs of my weekend and get it replaced. So far so good. It did the trick and looks no different than the original heating element that came out of my dryer. If you want to save some money, I recommend getting this heating element.

exact replacement part for DC47 dryer
My Samsung DC47 Dryer from 2005 suddenly stopped creating heat so I ordered this heating element assembly replacement part that is supposed to be an exact match for my model. I will update my review once the heating element is put in service for a few loads of laundry and I can make sure it’s operating perfectly. Burnt Element
The element in my Samsung dryer burnt out due to the high end temp sensor failing. I used this to replace the element in the dryer and also replace the the failed thermostat. So far, this element is working great.

Item was as described but it does not go well in the Samsung dryer. It made it over heat Irvin minutes of being turned on. Had to replace with a proper part.

Installed this heating element only to have an HE code shortly after running the machine. Spent far too much time cleaning vent pipes and changing a Thermistor and a blown heat fuse only to find out that the heating element was shorted to the metal frame by one of the insulator clips. If you are installing one of these make sure you check for electrical isolation from the heater casing otherwise the heating element will not turn on and off as it is suppose to.
