Finally, a Dewalt hand vac. And it’s fantastic.
Most hand vacs have built-in battery packs, which means the entire thing becomes plastic garbage when the battery pack inevitably loses its verve after a year or so. This guy, on the other hand, has a detachable battery pack you can quickly swap out! Even if this is the only Dewalt tool you own, if you have at least two battery packs you can have one recharging while you’re vacuuming with the other for endless hours of performance. That said, I also own a Dewalt impact drill and air compressor so it’s convenient to share the battery packs among my tools.Beyond the anticipated longevity, this is a solid tool with everything I expect from a Dewalt tool. The suction is by far the best I’ve found among battery-powered vacuums, and even rivals that of some plug-in upright and stick vacuums. Speaking of stick vacuums, the array of accessories provided is solid. With the extension tube and floor/carpet attachment you can quickly tackle the same messes you would with a shark or dyson. The only difference is that with the Dewalt you can take the battery out, stick it in your drill, and install some shelving afterwards!I only have two small complaints, but honestly I’m very happy with my purchase and these are more suggestions for future design iterations:1. The nozzle/collection piece is made of somewhat soft plastic. It leaves black marks on surfaces when used directly without one of the attachments. They’re easy to clean off but I just make sure to always use an attachment.2. The collection of accessory tools don’t come with a decent wall-mount storage option. I ended up building a custom rack using scrap wood, hole saws, a window sash handle, and a 3d printed caddy that I ordered from etsy. See attached image.Despite these minor inconveniences, this is the best hand vac I’ve ever owned!

This is a stick vacuum to rule them all!
I’ve gone through a few different stick vacuums over the years — supplementing my nice Miele traditional vac for deep-cleaning and my reliable Rigid shop-vac for bigger jobs — including trying a number of fancier, more expensive options as well as some generic knock-offs and cheap dust-busters …. But I was always running into various problems with cordless stick vacuums — they often seem to break down easily, aren’t easy to get repaired, they don’t run for more than a few minutes between recharges, and/or the suction power isn’t great, etc… I especially ran into a lot of problems with the batteries and chargers with various stick vacuum brands — like, don’t get me started on the year-long battle I had with a Greenworks stick vacuum, which was almost a decent vacuum except that it destroyed batteries constantly….Anyway, I should’ve started with good old trusty DeWalt — every DeWalt tool I’ve owned has lasted for years and years and years and (knock on wood) every DeWalt battery I own has likewise never stopped working (even a lot of the generic 3rd-party knock-off batteries made for DeWalt products tend to be pretty great in my experience so far)….And so far this DeWalt 20V Cordless Handheld Vacuum is living up to the same standards I’ve come to expect from this brand — it just works! It feels durable, it’s got good (not super-amazing, but quite good) suction power), it’s fairly lightweight but doesn’t feel cheap, compatible HEPA filters are easy to come by, its easy to clean, and it works perfectly with all of my existing (OEM) DeWalt and (generic) DeWalt-compatible 20v batteries… It also somehow seems to run for a relatively long amount of time on even a single battery, compared to other stick vacuums I’ve owned.Oh, and another bonus: This uses pretty standard sizes for the attachments, so it’s actually compatible with the hoses and attachments of the vacuums of a number of other brands. So, for instance, I’m able to repurpose the attachments from my Greenworks stick vacuum to use with this DeWalt vacuum instead. (One caveat: The DeWalt vacuum does NOT supply power to attachments — so even though a lot of attachments from other brands will fit, if it was an attachment that needed power — like, say, a floor attachment that had a spinning brush on it — the attachment will work for suctioning air, but the components that need power won’t spin, etc.)So — look, admittedly, this DeWalt vacuum doesn’t have any of the bells and whistles of some fancier stick vacuums, but it also costs a lot less than any of the really great stick vacuums that are out there, while being far more reliable and easy to use than almost anything else within its price range.Another negative is that although DeWalt tools often come with some smart storage options — this item does not. It just comes with a rather disappointing net bag. No nice custom-fit box, no wall-hanging hardware, no way to connect everything together for storage, etc… But I just put a few big, basic garage-hooks on the wall and hung the vacuum and attachments from that, and, while not pretty, that’s working fine. Also, if you’re thinking about buying this, keep in mind that it sadly doesn’t come with a battery — so that is an additional cost to deal with, if you’re not already part of the DeWalt battery ecosystem. But it’s a good ecosystem to get into, if you’re thinking about getting any other power tools or items like this.

    Such a cool vacuum!
Hands down the most versatile and useful vacuum I have ever had. It is so nice having a handheld, battery powered vacuum that can be used for most surfaces. With all the added accessories that come with this vacuum it is easy to vacuum the floor, rugs, work surfaces and more. Great for vacuuming out my truck. I keep this in my shop to vacuum up saw dust and other debris. I can use it in the kitchen to vacuum the hard floor. The filter is easy to shake clean or replace. The dust collection is easy to dump. DeWalt did a great job with this vacuum, it is much lighter than the similar vacuum from Milwaukee.

    Great product.
My husband has many Dewalt cordless tools and is very satisfied with them. When I was unable to find replacement filters for my cordless vacvuum he suggested the Dewalt. It’s fantastic. Has multiple attachments, great suction power easy to use. A bit heavier & louder than im used to but the performance outweighs the weight & sound

    Almost perfect!
I gotta qualify this review by saying I’m a devout “yellow tool” man AKA DeWalt! Love their products. Which is why I decided to drop the bucks for their vacuum. No complaints on the portability, being able to use my batteries, compactness and especially the POWER. This thing hold a punch for such a small device. I had to vacuum up broke tempered glass and this thing disintegrated the chunks and sucked in the pieces no problem. I used every accessory in one day so these are made to accommodate all situations. DeWalt love ya…but you really have to move the release button for the filter space some where else! It’s so easy to accidently open it and “proosh”…all the dirt spills all over the place! Put a lock on that button or move it somewhere less accessible on the device please. Otherwise, I love it!

Buena aspiradora, muy potente casi como una de cable, parece dar la misma potencia con baterías normales o flexvolt 100% recomendada

I was looking for another handheld vac for the car, as I have been using a Black & Decker 20v (BDH2000PL), but find that the bin fills up quickly, and the dirt often clogs up the basket filter protector, and filter. My son in law loves Dewalt tools, and he recommended this unit. What a find! I could not be more impressed with the performance of this unit, in terms of strength of suction power, and the portability of the tool. It is a bit larger than the BD unit, but the hepa filter does not seem to clog or get much dust stuck on it, based on the design of the unit. Have vacuumed that car 3 times now, as well as the kitchen area in the home, and the bin holds quite a bit and suction does not suffer or degrade. I get about 45 minutes out of my 4AMP battery, and will have to see how the unit performs with the new 5AMP battery that arrives today. Highly recommend this unit if you are needing a strong portable hand held vacuum cleaner, or dust collector. Check out vids on Youtube showing the versatility of this unit.

Não conheço outros mas com certeza esse que é profissional é a melhor escolha mesmo para uso doméstico. Aqui vamos usar no lugar da vassoura diária de casa. Já tenho baterias para furadeira então não precisei gastar com baterias.

I was a little apprehensive ordering this unit, some reviewers suggested that the build was not up to DeWalt standards. On receiving the unit I was pleased with both the build and performance. Works great with the supplied attachments for diy cleanup and especially useful for the car.
