great working calculator
This calculator works great , It saves on electricity because it is solared by the sun. The display is big and it calculates fast. This is great for an adult, a teen and for home or for business use .All of the keys works and the answer displays well. This will be a great gift for a high school’ or college student. This is a great buy at an affordable price.

Does what you want it to do
Battery lasts for awhile because of the solar power. Nice large buttons and display.

This is LARGE
This calculator is about 7 1/2″ top to bottom and 5 7/8″ wide, which is surprisingly large when you open it up for the first time. It works right out of the box, even though it does not include the AAA battery. Mine has worked fine on solar and I havn’t even installed a battery yet. Its nice that its a normal sized battery though.I dinged one star for a small item. The buttons stick up pretty high and when you press them they kind of angle off to the side if you don’t push directly down in the middle. I would prefer slimmer profile buttons with a shorter press. Overall though it is working well.

It is working fine. I had to put the batteries in it for better quality of work.

There is no “on” button. I have discovered the red AC turns it on. Also, use a battery.
I like everything about it except that there is no “on” button. Also, unless the calculator is in direct sunlight, so far, it does not work. A battery fixed that.

Perfect
I needed something to do basic math on at work. This is the perfect size with clicky buttons. Really love it

This is one funky calculator…
This is one odd and funky calculator. It has a useful form factor: large raised buttons and tilted, easy-to-read screen. There is no instruction manual — just a slip of paper with a few examples and button descriptions that do not match the actual device The buttons do match Amazon’s description; the labelling does not. (I got a JOINUS version). The M+, M-, MC and MR buttons are standard, but there is an “MU” button described as “mark-up/mark-down key; I have no idea what this is supposed to do.The right-arrow, CE and EX keys take some getting used to. There is a GT button which one would think might mean Grand Total, but its function seems random and completely mysterious. There is no on/off key. The AC key turns the machine on and functions as an ALL CLEAR, but watch out: this button clears memory too (not standard — only the MC key should do that). They do not include a battery, as stated in the description; however, it only takes one AA which I would expect to last for years. Without a battery the solar cell will run the calculator in fairly dim light; whether this supplements an installed battery is not clear.I’m not sending it back, but had I checked the picture more closely I probably would have ordered one with a more conventional keypad
