The Best Model
I prefer this model over the ND+ variant because of the analog placement. This is a very bulky build but it feels great in my hands even if it is not intended to be ergonomic. There are a few flaws such as gaps and small plastic shavings but it does not interfere with the overall structure. It is made of polycarbonate plastic like most accessories so it’ll most likely not take a fall. I will not test that. LolOverall, it’s probably the best model in today’s current market for switch controllers. For $50, this is an absolute steal and win for switch users.

Started playing handled mode again because of this
My switch was having so much issues with connecting to my joycons in handheld mode and this just made everything much better. It fits my hands pretty well and I don’t really have issues with it, but again I’m also not a serious gamer so I don’t really have an accurate reference on what other controllers feel like. Overall it works great, had it for a couple of months now, joysticks and all feels good. The buttons do sound tactile and have that button click noises, so if you think that you can play with your switch while your partner is asleep next to you, you’re gonna wake them up for sure with all that clicking noises, especially if they are light sleepers. Overall, love this!

This thing is built like a brick!
I mean built like a brick in a good way. This thing is massive and rock solid. It weighs about as much as the Switch itself.It has a nice feel to the buttons and the sticks. The triggers have a nice pull to them as well. When you slide your Switch into it, it satisfyingly clicks into place and is secure. It has a built-in kickstand for tabletop mode, and a fast charger pass-through to the Switch. Its D-PAD rocks! I have no trouble with accidental activation of diagonal controls when pressing one of the four directions. It has 4 re-map-able buttons on the back, that can also take macros. It also has turbofire support. And, if you’re short for a controller, there’s an output port on the back that when you connect a USB cable to it, it can act like a wired controller when plugged into a switch dock.Features aside, there are a few drawbacks for this unit. Removal can be a bit of a chore as you have to hold down the lock and slide the Switch out putting a little force on the face of the Switch. It can be a bit heavy for some users, especially for extended play. The CRKD logo doubles as the home button, lights up when in use, but you can change its light level or turn it off completely.All in, this is my daily driver as it’s solid, has been handled a little roughly and so far shows no signs of wear.

The Second One Works Great
As the title says, I am on my second Nitro Deck because my first one was busted out of the box. Neither sticks registered, half the face buttons registered incorrect inputs and it would randomly just disconnect, which is the first time I have ever seen a wired connection do that. In fact, this is the only wire connected controller to brick out the box. Even the cheapo $10 360 clones I have purchased in the past worked when I first used it. Further insulting that I went through the exercise of registered on the app and the song and dance of this “premium” product played out. When I reached out to CRKD about the issue, to their credit, they responded quickly and politely acknowledged that it was indeed a defect unit. The replacement was processed quickly by Amazon, not CRKD, because that was the way I could most quickly get a new unit.Once I got a a working unit, it has been pretty good. Build is solid and it does feel nice to use with the exception of the right analog stick placement. The right stick is directly below the face buttons making it awkward to quickly switch between both. Even when playing a game that only uses the face buttons and not the right stick, part of your thumb or palm rests on the stick which I find annoying and slightly uncomfortable. The Joycons also have that right stick, face buttons set up, but since the sticks sit much higher on the Nitro Deck, it’s far more uncomfortable. It would have been better if the stick and button were either offset slightly, like on a conventional pro controller, or swapped so that the buttons sit below the stick. CRKD is releasing a + version that has the latter set up.Still an upgrade to your standard Joycon handheld experience with good fit and finish, but not a perfect solution either. Given the first unit I received, be sure to get it from a seller that will work with you if the unit doesn’t work out the box.

Underwhelming at best.
This was supposed to be a really nice upgrade for the switch, but it feels more like overhyped and cheaply made. The nobs on the joysticks fall off easily. The vibration function is weak and makes a noise that sounds like it’s installed poorly. Taking the switch out of the case after putting it in is a struggle and can easily put a lot of force on the screen to get it out. The button in the back that is supposed to ‘release’ the switch doesn’t do anything. The two USB c ports in the back are labeled input and output, but are slower to charge than the regular dock and official power supply; even using the same power supply between them.The kickstand is nicer than the standard switch kickstand. It does provide a large bumper of protection. The controller response is identical to the standard switch controllers even when this was the biggest selling point for the CRKD Nitro, having no stick drift (which I didn’t have anyways) and gyro compatability. Even though the switch controllers already do this. This isn’t really the upgrade it’s advertised as.We’ve had it a week and are already unimpressed with this device. If you want better handheld performance for your switch you’re better off using a licensed pro controller and the dock on a large screen. Not this.

AMAZING CONTROLLER!
I normally don’t write reviews but man I’m blown away on how great this controller is. It honestly feels like Nintendo themselves made this product, you can tell the quality and care that went into this product. I love the experience from the packaging to just playing my games on my Switch, it feels like a new console. I do regret not getting the case bundle 🙁

Habe diese als Geschenk gekauft.Beim Anstecken des Displays ging nach den ersten 3 Minuten alles aus und das Display lies sich auch nicht mehr einschalten, wir dachten das nun die Switch defekt ist.Nach 10 Minuten probieren und warten ging es gott sei dank wieder.Erstmal eingerichtet, was schon etwas kompliziert ist, haben wir das Gerät getestet.Liegt aufjedenfall sehr gut in der Hand und alle Tasten sind gut erreichbar.Allerdings sind die Tasten Betätigung schon recht laut und macht den Eindruck als wäre das ein billiges Produkt. Aber gewöhnungssache.Was sehr sehr mies ist, das wenn man die Switch in Standby Modus geschalten wird und nicht ans Ladegerät hängt das der Akku Übernacht leer ist und die Switch somit komplett ausgeschaltet ist. Sollte meine Meinung nach nicht sein wenn sie im Standby-Modus ist.Wissen aber auch nicht ob das eine Einstellungsache ist, haben bis jetzt nichts gefunden. Da werden wir noch bissien rum experimentieren.
