Cooks Standard are my favorite pans
When I needed a new Dutch Oven, it went looking for a Cooks Standard first. And I’m not disappointed. It’s a good weight, heavy without being too heavy. It has a glass lid with steam vent, and comfortable handles on the sides and the lid, and is easy to clean. No worry about non-stick surface wearing off or leaching poisonous compounds into your food. And… It’s beautiful to look at which is just a bonus.

Sturdy pot. Found out what the weird white spots are after use and how to get rid of them.
The pot is sturdier than I expected. Some stainless steel pots I bought before were pretty thin and flimsy, but this one isn’t one of them. I love the glass lid which allows me to see the food cooking. After the first use, I noticed the weird white spots at the bottom like some reviewers mentioned. I did a google search and found out they might actually be minerals in the water which appeared when water evaporated. Just rubbing won’t remove them. So I took on some suggestions I found by using a little vinegar and hot water. The spots are gone in no time! Overall I’m happy with the purchase.

Mostly a good purchase
My former soup pot had become warped and didn’t sit flat on the burner (after 40 years of use), but this was my replacement choice.Overall, I’m please. It’s very sturdy, looks nice, and I appreciate being able to see through the lid. However, it takes a LONG time to bring liquid to a boil, and when I cook pasta, it leaves rainbowish pasta ridge marks on the bottom after cleaning. It doesn’t impact the use of the pan, but just looks weird.

Fantastic pot
***Edit: my husband ran this through the dishwasher while I was out of town. It caused discoloration but has not affected the performance at all. Still very happy with this pot***We have only used it once, but it cleans up so easily! I’m thrilled with this purchase, and will update this review if anything changes. I’m anticipating a long life from this,as it appears to be very well made.

Afforable stainless steel pot. Food doesn’t get stuck to the bottom. The bottom doesn’t change colors. All around good buy. Would recommend to anyone that cant afford a pricey pot.

Deep pot with sandwich bottom. Metal is thick and sturdy. Well finished and rivets are strong. The handle is smooth and easy to carry. The lid is impressive, thick glass and sturdy handle. Fits well on the pot. All in all must buy!
