Quality unit, fair price and does a nice job.
I manage a lot of sites with HVAC equipment, and so far I’ve been really pleased with this unit. Fan noise and compressor noise are both low and what I would consider “normal” compared to other mfg and models. We use it to keep temperatures down in our upstairs bedroom areas on really hot days, and it does a good job maintaining 68 degrees F in a roughly 650-700 sq ft area. No condensation issues, and we don’t use the remote so no concerns there. I did install an insulated sleeve around the heat rejection hose, so be aware that not using one might change your experience and it does save energy if you do. All in all I’m very pleased with this AC unit. Also, I had no issues with shipping damage, the unit was packed well and arrived in great shape.

Insanely loud and shut off repeatedly
We bought 3 of these for a workshop we have on our back lot and we have the same issues with all 3.They don’t cool the space (rooms are each 250-300sq ft), they are VERY loud while running and every 8-10 minutes they make a super loud clunking noise and shut off entirely. You absolutely cannot sleep in a room with one of these. If it had been just one we had issues with I would give them the benefit of the doubt but because all 3 have the exact same problems, I’d recommend not buying.Unfortunately we bought them 5 months before we unboxed and used them so we weren’t able to return and are now stuck with them.

Excellent price under 300 plus Prime free shipping. Lots of people complain about the noise but it’s an air conditioner system with a high speed fan so it makes noise. Seems to cool fine. Warning – it drains a lot of water – I can’t imagine the inside reservoir ever being enough even in low humidity so be prepared to either drain the water in a separate large container (plastic storage bin below the until works fine), externally out a window or into a drain or be prepared to empty the internal container constantly. Unfortunately all a/c units create condensation so just be prepared for draining the water. The only true negative so far is minor – the drain tube seems like an afterthought and does not attach to the drain plug very well and pops off. I’ll probably get my own drain tube at some point because I can’t trust this one long term. Haven’t tested the heat option yet but it has a separate drain plug for some reason? Why would a heater need to drain water? Hopefully it won’t need to be drained but if so, this would be a major negative in my opinion because I’ve never known any other heater to need a drain.

Met Expectations, Quite Pleased
I have an Amana portable ac unit also so had something to compare this too. It is a bit loud, but they all are. Otherwise it functions great. Had no concern with condensation and never used the drain hose. Simple to use and has a very noticeable display screen. I really like the way it functions in fan mode only when it is cool enough outside to use that. It is very quiet when the ac unit is not running.

Robust and efficient unit
I purchased this summer of 2021 during heatwave times and I’m so glad I did. This is an extremely substantial unit it’s very heavy and I’m really glad that it came with casters however it would be difficult for me to move around the house or up and down the stairs. Installation was pretty straightforward the quality of the components seemed reasonable and not prone to breakage and they’re easy to put together if following the instructions. The unit chills a large bedroom very well however, it is somewhat noisy but not so much that I wasn’t able to sleep through the night.This unit has a prominent (about the display size of a standard cell phone) lit display on the front showing the temperature which is cute but it’s really bright when using it at night I wish there were a way to turn that feature off.

Not nearly as good as the older model!!
I love for my bedroom to be very cool at night to sleep. I live in an area that has four distinct seasons and I run a portable air conditioner at night in my bedroom, except for the coldest part of winter. For the last 10 years, I had an old Commercial Cool model that worked like a dream. This summer, it started limping along and not cooling as well. Don’t get me wrong, it still cooled the space but was making some really strange noises and seemed less efficient. It also quit draining water from the drain. We decided it was time to replace it and actively sought out this brand because of our experience with the older model. We chose this model because we thought it was a good deal. When the unit arrived, the only issue was that it was heavy for us older folks to move into the bedroom. It was carefully packaged and easy to set up. We were able to use the same exhaust opening that we had had for our old one. That’s where the similarities ended! The new unit works about half as well as the old one that wasn’t working up to par. The remote works, the motor is quiet by comparison and the unit is sleek- it just doesn’t cool my bedroom. By the second night, I was running it on 61° -the lowest setting. It is so inefficient, that when I open the door from my bedroom to go into the rest of the house, I step into cooler temperatures from my whole house air conditioning unit. I can assure you that was not the case before. When you stepped in to the bedroom at night it was like stepping into a refrigerated space. Sadly, I bought two of these things because I trusted the brand. I have not tried the other one yet because I had it shipped directly to my cabin but I will be surprised if it is any better than this one. I have had it too long to return, so I will take the hit but I am actively shopping for a replacement. As far as energy efficiency, I am not sure that I would be able to tell the difference on my electric bill because I ran another one every night as well. I am just disappointed.
