Sturdy base keeps the wok steady on the stovetop. Cook Authentic Asian Food – A cast iron wok with handle is the best utensil to cook with for authentic Asian food as this is traditionally used.
Pre-seasoned and ready for immediate use. Non Stick & RustProof – This cast iron camping wok is pre-seasoned with vegetable oil as this prevents the iron from rusting as well as gives the wok a non-stick surface.
Can be used on any stovetop: electric, gas, induction; can also be used in the oven.Flat Base Easy Cooking – While traditionally, cast iron deep woks come with a rounded base, this one comes with a flat base so that you can easily set it on top of your stove and have a sturdy base for cooking.
Large loop handles for easy handling. Wooden Lid – This stir-fry cast iron wok comes with a wooden lid to allow you to cook, simmer, fry, stir-fry, or even steam many dishes as well as soups and stews.
Hand wash only. It is more affordable compared to stainless steel or even enameled cast iron, and will last forever due to its durable nature.

    Amazing wok
I bought this wok 3.5 years ago, but I had to come back and write a review because it has become one of my favorite pieces of cookware and a truly prized posession. The cast iron is a great material for the wok because it conducts heat so well, so the sides of the wok get hot, giving you more surface area for cooking and helping keep food warm even once you turn off the heat. Being cast iron, this wok is not lightweight, but I don’t find it excessively heavy either. This wok holds a very large volume of food- this was the initial reason I purchased it, as my largest saute pan was not big enough for the meals I wanted to cook. So far, there has not been anything I wanted to cook that this wok didn’t have the volume to hold. It’s extremely versatile- I saute vegetables in it all the time, and have made a wide variety of recipes incluiding lo mein, chicken tikka masala, and chicken fajitas. The wok came pre-seasoned, but over time I have built up more layers of seasoning. At this point, it truly cooks like an almost non-stick. When I bought this, it was also much cheaper than the conventional wok options available on amazon, although I’m not sure how much prices have changed since then. I cannot recommend this wok highly enough, it is a staple in my kitchen and I know it will continue to be for years/decades to come!

    A Keeper
Got this guy the other day, took it out of the box (which had been damaged in shipping) and spent the hour and a half it takes to do the suggested seasoning. Yes, the online product description says it’s “preseasoned” and it really is.But the instructions that come with it suggest pretty clearly that, even so, you should season it. Often. The provided instructions are completely clear how to do that. It’s easy, but takes a while.Tonight I used it for the first time — to make a pork lo mein dish. The wok worked very well on my gas range using the wok ring that came with the range. It probably would have been okay without the ring since the wok has a flat bottom that sits on the burner grates okay. But the ring definitely made the whole setup feel much more stable and secure. Secure is a good thing when dealing with ten pounds of hot cast iron, sizzling oil, meat, veggies and sauce! The cooking went without a hitch. Nice, even heat, easily controllable (though slower to change temp than a spun-steel wok because, well, it’s ten pounds of cast iron). I was surprised how few noodles stuck to the surface. As a result, cleanup was pretty easy.Warm water, no soap, a plastic scrubbing pad and a little “elbow grease.” After drying it off, I warmed the wok on the stove to drive off the last moisture, and wiped the inside with a little dab vegetable shortening. When the wok cooled down, it looked just like it did before I started.Speaking of looks, this wok is not just utilitarian. For a big chunk of cast iron, the fit and finish are good and design is quite nice. Refined, even. Definitely a good-looking keeper that I’ll also use a lot.

    Excellent wok!
Reading all of the other reviews I figure this was a good buy. Having other cast iron pans and skillets I am aware of proper use and cleaning so not afraid of maintaining the wok. I did season it with bacon grease per included instructions first, not because I didn’t trust the factory seasoning but because that’s just what I do and I had the time before using it.This pan was excellent during the first cook! I ran a good test with shaved pork shoulder, onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, hoisin sauce, sugar, garlic, ginger, and extremely starchy udon noodles. There was minor sticking from the starch in the udon but that’s to be expected as those noodles are notoriously starchy. However I must say that the noodles themselves did not stick to the pan, just the starch that came out during the cooking. I cooked meat first and removed from pan. Then threw in peanut oil, garlic, and ginger for a minute then onions. After a minute threw in the noodles and cooked til slight dry then the sauce and meat.I must say I will be using this often? I purchased a metal wok spatula and it didn’t phase the pan or the seasoned coating a bit. The wok looks extremely nice on stove too. Very nice design.I’m not sure what people were complaining about when they were saying it was too heavy. I have a 14in cast iron frying pan I purchased from Cabellas that is twice as heavy as this is. My wife said it wasn’t heavy at all either. Maybe they were expecting the weight of a carbon steel wok. Not sure but I was happy with it.Tip:1. Follow included instructions!2. Slowly heat up wok then turn to high and let get really hot first. This wok does retain heat the entire cook time bit make sure you get it crazy hot first.3. The handles are cast iron so they get hot too. Will need oven mitt or silicon glove.About the casting:It is extremely rough on inside but that is by design, meat stays above surface for the most part. Someone fave it 4 instead of 5 stars for a casting defect that did not have anything to do with functionality. To this I say rediculious!! Mine has a small casting defect in the inner bowl but who cares?! I would take a hundred woks that have slight blemishes in them if they cooked like this. It doesn’t go on the mantel or in a trophy case, it makes stir fry.Buy with confidence that this is a great wok with a crazy good price. I will probably but one or two more for family. Good Christmas gifts on the cheap!UPDATE: Second use and I thought I would try fried rice. Seriously, I’m impressed! Rice didn’t stick at all and everything was done in less than 10 minutes. I did 2 batches cause I needed the heat and turned out great. First batch was still quite hot after second was done. Also in batches I could add what I wanted and let kids have what they wanted. Live it love it love it!

    Wow! What a great product.
This Christmas I got very lucky in the quality of the products I ordered as gifts. This pan is probably at the top of the list. Pan: heavy, durable, easy to use and clean. Wooden lid: very well made and covers the top very snugly. The flat bottom makes the pan very stable.
