    Nice and Simple, Good Quality
Super simple to use, good adhesive to the labels, good quality print. I like that I do not need an app or subscription for something like this. Right priced for the quality and good design for quick typing and printing.

Easy to operated, makes nice labels
I had an older model that broke, replaced with this updated model. It operated the same, so no learning curve, although easy to master. I only wish I had noticed it is battery operated, by other used batteries and had a plug in cord as well.

I find I cannot read the screen.
From Brother.com – here is what I found out about the screen.Adjust the LCD contrast! To adjust the LCD contrast:1. Adjust the contrast setting:a. Press Menu.b. Press â—„ or â–º to select LCD Contrast.c. Press OK and the current setting is displayed.d. Press â—„ or â–º to select the contrast setting. There are five settings: -2, -1, 0, +1, +2.e. Press OK to set the contrast.- If the LCD is difficult to read, go to the next step.2. Since the label printer does not have a backlight, the angle of the label printer and the lighting conditions can affect how well the display can be viewed. For optimum viewing, place the label printer on a flat surface and view the display at a 45-degree angle.3. New out of the box label printers have a protective film on the display that needs to be removed. Removing the film slightly improves the display’s contrast and brightness.a. Using your fingertips or fingernails, separate the protective film from the LCD display from the top right or left corner.b. Pull the Mylar protective film completely away from the display to expose the smooth finished surface. Discard the protective film.3. If the contrast was better but now it is harder to read, try printing a label to test if the batteries are low. The LCD can be difficult to read when the batteries are low.4. If the LCD is still difficult to read with brand new batteries, you may wish to purchase a label printer with a backlight LCD.So, for me it was first, remove the mylar tape on the screen. I did not notice that there was something on the screen itself. Then I followed up with the LCD contrast and it made a big difference. I wish I had purchased one with a backlight screen but did not realize that was an option. All in all, I will say that this is a nice label printer.

    Unleash Your Inner Control Freak.
Pros:Easy to Use: User-friendly interface that even a toddler—or your tech-averse Uncle Steve—could navigate.Label Versatility: From pantry jars to pet turtles, label all things! Yes, even the label maker itself.Battery Life: Lasts longer than your commitment to a gym membership.Compact Design: Small enough to fit in most drawers but significant enough to create an organizational empire.Cons:Label Addiction: May lead to labeling things that shouldn’t be labeled. Proceed with caution. The Verdict:If you’ve ever felt the inexplicable urge to label your stapler so that everyone knows it’s YOUR stapler, then meet your new best friend: the Brother P-Touch PTD220 Label Maker. This little gadget is so good it should come with a warning: “May turn you into an obsessive organizer. Use at your own risk.”First off, this thing is easier to use than a bottle of glue. It’s got an intuitive interface that makes labeling less of a chore and more of a joyride. Within minutes of unboxing, I had labeled my spice jars, the dog, and the TV remote. Yes, the adrenaline was that high.Let’s talk about versatility. With this machine, you’re not just stuck with “Hello, my name is” name tags. Oh no, you can label everything from your drawers to your dreams. I’ve labeled my plants, my snack stash, and even considered labeling my roommates (but decided against it, due to ethical concerns).Battery life is a force to be reckoned with. After labeling half the household, it still had juice to spare. I imagine that it could run for days on a single set of batteries. Not that I’d recommend running a labeling marathon, but if you did, this bad boy wouldn’t quit on you.Its compact design means you can tuck it away in any drawer. But let’s be honest, you’ll probably give it a place of honor on your desk. After all, it’s not just a label maker; it’s a lifestyle. Now, the cons. And by cons, I mean one singular, but important, issue: addiction. Once you start labeling, you may find it hard to stop. You’ll see the world through label-colored glasses. Coffee mugs, toothbrushes, and yes, even your left shoe, will become prime candidates for a label. Resist the urge to label your significant other; they don’t appreciate it as much as your spice jars will.In conclusion, the Brother P-Touch PTD220 Home/Office Everyday Label Maker is not just an organizational tool; it’s a gateway to an organized life. Use wisely, and remember: not everything needs a label—unless you think it does, then go wild!

Works Well but Screen is Hard to Read & Labels Kinda Fussy to Peel
The unit arrived quickly and in good condition. It works well and is easy to operate but the screen is so darn hard to read! I’ve been getting better at sizing the labels more accurately to save on tape. That said the tape is “fussy” to peel off and expose the adhesive and the labels curl up immediately after pulling off the backing and gets stuck together. It works fine for my purposes making only a few labels at a time but if you need to make lots of labels this is not the unit for you.

    DO IT!!!
This is the this one we have gotten for our company. We love that we can do designs, fonts, all of the choices. If you have any doubts about buying it, don’t. It is perfect. Just wish it came with a charger.
