Incredible nightmare
Since I bought this device in 2023 it has been a nightmare!It works sometimes and sometimes it does not work!!I had a nose teck help me set it up and it work then it stops!It disconnects from my TV!!!TV is a 85 inch samsung bought it about the same time I bought this bose speaker!The sound is great but it does not want to connect! I have tryed very port I checked the wire!Its driving me crazy I should have send it back when I first encountered the problem!!I disconnected the power on and off I disconnected the hdmi!I have spent almost all day trying to figure out this device!!How do I get my money back!!Well I have to say what ever was wrong with it!!BOSE FIXED IT WITH NO CHARGE!!I REGRET THE THING I SAID IT IS A EXCELLNT SPEAKER SYSTEMI WILL BUY AGAIN!!I PAAIRED IT TO MY TV WITH BLUETOOTH AND ITS AWSOME!

Incredible Sound and Alexa Integration
I recently purchased the Bose Smart Soundbar 900 in black, and I must say it has completely transformed my home entertainment setup. The best sound bar. Bar none. (pun intended)
After installing my Bose 900 I had some weird problems. Got in touch with the Bose tech on Facebook messenger and they offered some various settings but really did not help the situation. I would cut on my LG TV and then turn on the speaker and it would cut the TV right back off again. Also, I have my XBOX connected to my TV and the sound was coming through just 2.0 and not 5.1 as it should. I would stream Amazon Video through my smart TV and not all the sound was 5.1 on that app as well. So neither I nor Bose could figure out what the problem was. My Bose is connected to my TV via e-arc HDMI so I should have been getting the maximum sound quality available. So as a last ditch effort I decided to change out the HDMI wire. I was using MONSTER CABLE since it’s supposed to be a top of the line HDMI wire. Right? I exchanged that for the HDMI cable supplied with the Bose shipment. Viola! That was the problem all along. A faulty HDMI cable. Now it works as it should. Everything is 5.1 now. And I have the C.E.C set so that when I turn off the speaker it turns off the TV as well. This Bose sounds amazing. Depending on the source of the sound as in a movie or TV show it gives Dolby Atmos. I was pleasantly surprised when I was streaming the movie CLASH OF THE TITANS. I mean the surround sound was everywhere coming at me from both sides and even above my head. The scene where Perseus was walking through a cave and stuff started falling from the roof of the cave sounded like it was coming from my living room ceiling. LOL. So anyway I texted Bose again and told them I found the root of the problem and they were very happy for me and thanked me for telling them the solution to my problem. I had read other reviews on Amazon and they told of having similar problems so the answer just might be a faulty HDMI cable. Even though they may have a thick coating they have very fine wire inside and can still get damaged. Even though it’s a bit pricey they are about two hundred dollars cheaper on Amazon which is why I ordered it.

I was a owner of the Bose Soundbar 300 and I must admit the 900 delivers practically twice the sound. I have my 900 coupled with the Bose 700 subwoofer, and the combination sounds great. However, worthy of sharing or mentioning, I unplugged the subwoofer to get an idea of the bass coming out of the soundbar itself, and I must say that the bass out of the 900 is much greater than that of the Soundbar 300. I have a relatively small entertainment room, and I likely would not need the extraordinary Bose Subwoofer 700. So this could save you at least $1000.00. I was very disappointed with the remote. I need to explore more with Alexa and Google play as I can now turn on my TV and TV box by words of command, so need to assess the need of a universal remote. The remote that came with the Soundbar 300 was a substantial universal remote. I tried to use with the Soundbar 900 and it did not work. So was that done on purpose to get you to buy the new Bose universal remote for approximately $80.00. Still the Bose Soundbar is a great sound bar and I highly recommend it.
